Shadow immediately left for Beijing after coming from the war, this made Blade tilt his head, staring at the departing back of Shadow but he didn't say anything and went back to whatever he was doing.

Shadow got to Beijing but it was on a Saturday, he didn't know where Li Fei lives, which was something he has been asking her and she has refused to tell him, although Shadow could have easily find out, but because he wanted to respect her wishes he refrained from doing so, anyways after poking around the school for a while, he got bored so he decided to investigate where Li Fei lives, sneaking into the principal's office in the school was like a walk in the park, and it seems the principal was not around, Li Fei was in grade one, so finding her files was pretty easy, she lives in XXXX street, it stated that she was now living with her parternal Aunt, who came to live with her as soon as her mother's death.

'Hmm, this sound fishy, I never heard anything about her having an Aunt, the mother clearly stated that she had no one' Shadow was thinking, 'Could she really have an aunt?' well there is no harm in checking it out.

Shadow went to the place he found written in the document, and asked around, he found it, as a scientist who was working behind the scenes Li Fei mother was loaded, Shadow found a small villa in a rich neighborhood, he eluded the security guards stationed there, there was no need thou he could have given one of his identity to them and he would have been allowed in, but he found it to be a bit troublesome and there would be alot of eyes on him since he was a foreigner, he didn't like that, he went to the villa which has the door sign written as Li, on getting there he pressed the doorbell, and then waited for a few minutes until a boy of about 7 or 8years opened the door sluggishly, he had dark eyes, dark hair, his hair was a little scattered, he asked grumpily "Who are you? and what do you want?"

Shadow looked at him a bit wondering if he should just ignore him and go inside or answer him, after a few seconds he decided to answer him "Hello kid, my name is Joshua am looking for Li Fei is she inside?"

The boy looked at Shadow with narrowed eyes, like he was scanning Shadow, before abruptly closing the door shut on his face and running back inside, a few minutes later a middle aged woman came out, with vigilance and sharpness written all over her face "Who are you? How do you know Li Fei? What do you want from her? and what do you want by coming here?" the middle age woman said in a tone that obviously wasn't friendly, she was speaking as if she was speaking to her own nemesis.

This abrupt behavior left Shadow a bit puzzled, there was definitely something wrong he thought before saying, "I am a friend of Li Fei's mother, my name is Joshua and she told me to look after Li Fei"

"I don't know you, and Li Wan doesn't have many friends that I know of, and we can take care of Li Fei by ourselves, you look like a kidnapper get lost before I call the cops"

After saying that she abruptly shut the door on Shadow's face, 'it looks like Li Fei's mother was Li Wan, hmm I really need to dig information on this family, this sound really fishy, have gotten myself into a stupid situation' Shadow thought before apparently leaving.

During his time as an assassin he learned many things and knew few people, but due to his introverted attitude and his behavior towards people, he hardly knew anybody personally, so he called the person responsible for creating their many identities his and Blade's, he took a payphone and made a call "Can you look into something for me?", "Shadow? it's rare for you to ask for anything, what do you want?" a voice that was a bit hearty and seemingly tired answered, "Look into this family for me, the Li's in Beijing, in XXXX street, mother Li Wan daughter Li Fei, daughter school XXXX school, would that information be enough?" Shadow said, seemingly tired of talking to the person on phone, "I got it, will get back to you in an hour" the voice said, with that the phone call ended.

In a mansion in another country a phone was ringing and a rough voice which seems annoyed said "Speak" the person on the other end said "Shadow is looking into a family in Beijing, what should I do?" the voice from the other side of the phone said a scared tone and just wanted to get this conversation over with, "Give him all the information he needs, I taught him never to have a weakness, it seems he started nuturing one" with that the phone call ended.

An hour later Shadow went to a payphone and made another call "have you gotten it?", "Ughh yes Shadow, this is the information of the family, Father Li Gon was killed by Li Wan after she found out he had a mistress with a son outside, the death was reported and fabricated as a motorcrash accident, Mother Li Wan died in the hands of assassin's along side other 106 scientist, Child Li Fei goes to XXXX school an orphan, Si Song mistress of Li Gon currently trying to swindle all the inheritance of Li Fei by postrating herself as an Aunt, and currently living in the Li villa, Si Dong illegitimate son of Li Gon" that's the end of the report.

With that the call ended, "Fuck what the hell have I gotten myself involved in"
