"Slow down, we won't be able to get there till four days from now, what can only you do by rushing over?" Earl Holman said with a voice laced with helplessness.

He got the letter of assistance from Baron Dark and immediately assembled his army and was heading towards the Dark territory, but he knew they would be too late to do anything, a monster battle wasn't a human one, where by strategies and stalling would take place and retreats would occur due to heavy casualties.

His main problem now was his daughter, who has fallen for the fiancee she chose herself, "if not for the boy's talent I wouldn't have agreed to the engagement, it seems the boy has poison my daughter to the point of she wanting to immediately go and save him" Earl Holman said to himself.

"Father why are we marching very slowly to the battlefield, with every passing time they might be dying" Rosetta said looking angry, she was so shocked when she heard of the news that there was a large monster attack in the Dark territory, she was scared of what was happening there and if Derrick was alright, she found out that she has fallen for the playful idiot who always seems to not want her around, the thought of something happening to Derrick scares her.

"Don't get me angry, the soldiers cannot rush to a battlefield exhausted, it would only dampen their morale and what are you even doing coming along with us I told you to remain in the castle with your mother" Earl Holman said huffing, he was berating Rosetta, he was tired of her complains and her behavior recently if not that he doted on her, he would have already given her a deserving punishment.

Seeing the new arrival in the battlefield, the orc king was looking a bit worried, he decided to watch the battle if need be, he would send his five generals to join the battle, he was a cunning leader who has been buying his time for years to attack and he planned that this was the best time, his army has grown enough and he can still gain more after the battle.

Derrick arrived at the battlefield first thing he saw was that they were losing, most of the soldiers has fallen, but he wanted to see his parents, where were they? he was still on his horse looking around for his parents, the gruesome deaths and the roaming monsters didn't even shake him, this made the guard that was behind him a little astonished, even to him this was a little heart wrenching, the deaths were far too much.

When Derrick finally saw his parents from afar, he couldn't contain the happiness within him so he shouted, "Fatheeeeer, motherrrrrrr" which actually got their attention.

But before he could meet them, he had to cross a mountain of monsters, which were mostly orcs, but he was prepared to face them.

He picked up a sword but didn't use it, the first monster was too close for him to use the sword "Tornado slash" a tornado made up of sharp blades of air was conjured cutting down the orc, he knew he couldn't use high level spells all the time, it will quickly put a strain on him.

He decided to use the sword, but cutting down the orc with his strength would take him a considerable amount of time and he doesn't have enough time to spare.

"Fire Sword" the sword on his hand was covered with flames, he immediately rush towards the nearest orc slashing it's head off, his speed was extraordinary, cutting off another orc leg in the process, he threw the sword away that has already melted, picked another one cutting off the head of the orc that has already lost it's leg, he jumped high as he could aim at the neck of another orc slicing off it's head, this happened in a matter of two seconds, his speed was astonishing.

The orcs saw the threats and decided to focus on getting rid of him, this made them surround him giving him no space to pick up a new sword, they swung their heavy hands down at him, their hands could smash him to pieces, their hands could cover up to half of his body.

"Water clone" the blow smashed Derrick but was replaced by a water clone, the clone immediately burst into water, this gave Derrick space to attack "Air barrage" countless compressed balls of air came out firing at the orcs that were there, they resisted for a while until one of the orcs head got blown in between leaving a hole, the balls of air felt like they were made of iron destroying the defense of the orcs, but it took time before the air barrage killed all the orcs that sorrounded him, this brought more and more orcs towards him, "lightning strike" lightning roared in the sky, which fell and scattered around him, which destroyed a large area killing most of the orcs coming towards him in the process, they smelt like roasted pigs, due to the lightning frying most of them.

"Damn they are still fucking many, and it seems my mana drains faster, when I use lightning spells, I will refrain from that now" Derrick said to himself, due to the time he came he has already killed about a hundred orcs but he wasn't looking good either, he wasn't still strong enough.

Seeing the situation of the battle, the orc king sent his five generals, they seemed different from the rest of the orcs too, they were a little bigger and it seems they had mana also.

"Kaaka kuuuaa ka" (kill that damned human) the orc king said to his generals before they apparently left for the battlefield.
