Angel flight operation (Part 2)

I took the green haired man out of the cell and we went upstairs.

"Well, first, tell me your name !" I ordered him as we were walking.

"I am Allen Brightstone, a A-rank adventurer of Lishei !" He replied.

"Then, Allen, we'll head to Kirangesh !" I announced.

"Huh? Why ?" he asked.

I grined a little at that question.

"You did ask me for help, right ?" I asked with the grin still stuck on my face.

"Yes, so ?" he asked in return with a confused face.

"So, my help is for now !" I replied "We'll retrieve your 'Angel' from that Prime Minister !"

His face brightened at hearing that.

"And what do you plan to do ?" he asked me.

"Which plan? We'll just take her and run away !" I replied with a monotone tone.

"What? And how do you plan to escape the guards?" he aked "They'll be in our way !"

I had already thought about it and I decieded that we would just do with discretion, but if there was something that would disturb us, then I'll just destroy it.

"It will be fine as long as noone see us!" I simply replied with a smile.

Then he stopped to ask questions, he realized that it would be useless.

We then went out of the base.

Once outside, I called Alpha.

He immediately came.

Allen was still surprised by the colossal black bear infront of us.

He stayed unfazed but I felt that he was a little afraid.

"Alpha, keep an eye on the base and the girl !" I ordered "We'll be out for some time !"

"Understood !" he replied.

Allen was shocked at seeing the black bear talk.

"W-what a talking black bear ?" he managed to say in his surprise.

"Hum? Well yeah I can talk !" Alpha replied.

And then he used 『Humanification』and turned into a tall man with long messy black hair going along his back till almost the ground with a pal blue cowlick.

He looked tanned and his eyes were red not as shiny like when he is in his bear form but still shined a little.

"If you need help, you can call Gamma and Epsilon" I added.

"Okay !" Alpha simply replied.

He was reliable.

"Okay, Allen let's go, First you come as well !" I said as I began to walk to get out of the forest.

Then Allen followed me with First near him with his face hidden under his hood.

We walked during some time in silence, so I decided to break the silence.

"So Allen do you mind to tell us the whole story ?" I asked.

"The story ?" he asked in return with confusion.

"Well, the story about you, the Prime Minister and Angel !" I replied.

"Well it's a little long !" he said.

"We'll have all the time on our way toward Lishei !" I commented.

"Fine, where should I begin ?"

"I am the illegitimate son of the Prime Minister !" he began.

First and I were surprised but we didn't show anything and let him continue.

"He didn't recognized me as his son, and with my mother were persecuted by his men to stay as far of him as possible !" he said bitterly "And from my childhood, I did my best to stay away from anything that is linked to him, we were still happy with my mother at that time !" he continued.

Then his face grew dark.

"But, … my mother died when I was ten !" he said with his fist clenched.

"As an orphan I finished by being homeless, I fought everyday to survive, it was like hell !" he almost yelled.

We were outside the forest at that moment.

"Well let's continue after finding a ship !" I told him.

He noded in response.

We then went to the city of Ovneodu.

Once we were there, we found a ship quite easily with the help of Allen.

Once we sailed, we were in our cabin.

It was at that time that Allen continued his story.

"But after sometime, I was taken in by a kind man, he was gentle enough to take care of an orphan like me !" he said "He had a daughter, Angel, she was half-elf !"

"She is four years younger than me and I considered her like my little sister !" he said "We were really happy, I found a new family !"

"Once I made he promise to Angel :"As your big brother, I'll always protect you !"; and I failed !" he said looking down at the floor hiding his face with his hands.

"Why do you say that you failed ?" I asked.

"After six years the father of Angel died of a strange disease !" he began "And I was an orphan again, but that time I wasn't alone, Angel was with me!"

"I then became an adventurer to earn money for both of us, I was 17 so I was accepted but I was only a D-rank and all the quest I didn't pay a lot but we were together so we were happy but …" he continued before suddenly stopping.

"But…?" I asked for the continuation.

"That man that was supposed to be my father appeared!" he said with anger "He took Angel and made of her his personal slave !"

"I tried to stop him but, I was weak and couldn't do anything !" he said with tears beginning to roll on his cheecks "I tried to convince him to sell her to me but he told me that I wouldn't be able to bring enough money !"

"I then began to work that hard that I almost died sometimes but I continued until becoming a A-rank adventurer !" he said with a mixingbof anger and sadness "And I asked him once again to sell me Angel and then he told me that he would accept if I was to accept on mission from him, to the red haired demon girl !" he said with anger at the the part about killing.

"I see, so that's why you accepted !" I stated.

"Yes, and you already know what happened next !" he replied.

I understood his reasons, but I can't figure out why the Prime Minister did take that girl.

"Do you know why did he want her that bad ?" i asked.

"It's because of her elf blood !" he replied "He want to find the secret about the high longevity of the elves !"

"But she is just an half-elf, right ? Doesn't that risk to distort the results ?" I asked.

"I don't really know, but they are sure that they'll success with her !" he replied.

I sighed,

"That guy is just a madman !" I stated.

"I agree !" Allen replied.

The rest of our travel toward Lishei went without any problem. It took about three weeks.

We were walking out of the mountains, we were near the city, I was the last of the file it was at that moment that I received a notification that made me stopped in my track,

「Your familiar 『Beta』ist in danger !」

I frowned at seeing that and clicked for more details. After that her status appeared on.the screen.

「Beta Status : Poisoned

HP : 33850 / 564086 SP : 62838 / 178500」

Her HP bar was decreasing at high speed.

"We have problems !" I stated, hearing that made First and Allen turn toward me.

"Beta is in trouble !" I announced.

First sighed at hearing my statement.

"Who is Beta ?" Allen asked with a confused face.

"One of my familiar !" I replied "I sent her as a vanguard !"

It was bad, at the rate that her HP were decreasing, we wouldn't be able to reach her position in time.

Then another notification appeared

「Do you want to use 『Instant travel』?

Yes/No 」

'Would First and Allen be teleported with me as well ? We have no choice ! Let's try !' I thought.

Then I told them to grab my shoulders.

From all the teleportation stuffs I saw in my previous life it was the most common way to take someone with you when you were to teleport yourself.

They did as I told and grabed my shoulders

'Yes'

Then a map appeared on the screen,

「Choose the location 」

I chose the palace of Lishei where the marker of Beta was located.

Then, a blue shining circle appeared under my feet, after that a blinding light emerged from it and engulfed us.

What we saw was like if we were traveling across the the space and the galaxy, it was like we were surrounded by an infinite number of stars.

As we were approaching the end of the tunnel, I saw Beta with an arrow stuck in the back of her shoulder, trying to activate her skill 『Incineration』.

From our perspective she seemed to be under the exit of the tunnel.

We landed just behind her.

As I thought, I could take someone with me in the teleportation thing.

There was a dome of fire that seemed to be made by beta protecting someone.

The guards that were attacking her were surprised by our sudden appearance.

Beta was in a very bad state so she didn't noticed.

Then, I went in front of her, sending all the guards outside with a powerful blow of my skill 『Air control』

That skill made be able to contol all the air in my surrounding and use it as I please.

I used it to create a wave of air that blew everything in the room except for the area where I was and where my allies were.

Beta's eyes widened as she finally saw me.

I sighed at seeing her state.

"Well, I told you to be careful !" I said.

She looked down at my statement.

"I am very sorry Master !" She replied.

"It's nothing !" I said "The operation 'Angel flight' will be a success so don't worry !"

She noded.

I used 『Heal』 on her but it wasn't enough, I used 『Cure』as well.

『Cure』was a skill that can remove any poison from the body of the target.

Once she was perfectly healed, I turned around.

I sent a dark stare at the man at the opposite of room, a middle aged and ashen gray haired man was standing in fear after seeing all his guards sent out of the room like it was nothing.

From what I saw they were arround of 『lvl. 36』in other word weak.

But compared to that man the looked very strong, he was only 『lvl. 10』

It was really disappointing, they were able to put Beta in such bad state so I thought that there was at least someone at 『lvl. 70』with them or a group of many 『lvl. 50』.

The only thing that could be considered as impressive was their equipement, mainly the poison, it was strong enough to kill a dragon.

"So !" I began, the man shivered as I began to talk. "I suppose that you are the Prime Minister !"

"So tell me! Why did you harm my subordinate ?" I asked with my dark stare still stuck one him.

He couldn't stop the shivering.

But after hearing that Beta was my subordinate, he realized who I was.

"S-so you are the Master of the forest ?" he asked.

I smirked and sent an evil stare at him.

"Yes !" I replied with an oppressive tone.

He was more terrified but still tried to argue.

"It was her that interfered with an execution !" he stated shivering.

I turned I saw that inside the dome, there was two persons, a little girl and the man I sent here to repport, at seeing the way the girl hugged him, he was surely his father.

I sighed at the thought that that old man tried to kill that little girl plus the fact that he used Angel as a tool for his experiments.

"You deserve to be killed, you know ?" I said annoyed.

Then I 『Air control』to send an air bullet at him, it struck his belly with enough strength to make him cough up blood.

Before he could pass out, I stomped his shoulder.

He groaned, before sending a begging stare toward me.

I stayed unfazed, that old man was nothing but a trash for me.

"You…won't get…away with this !" he mumbled.

I looked at him with disgust, that man was the perfecr example of why I hate humans.

Humans don't hesitate to make suffer others for their profit but once they are the ones that are in suffering, they call it unfair or try to make it look like they don't deserve that fate.

I didn't even thought at losing my time with someone like that, I left him there and went toward Beta and the others.

"Let's go, it's not finished yet !" I stated, they all noded except for the man and the little girl that emerged from the fire dome, they were confused.

"Follow us if you want to live !" I said at both of them, they hesitated a moment before noding.

As we were passing in front of the trash that was call Prime Minister, his eyes widened.

"A-Allen, What are you doing with that man ?" he asked.

Allen looked at him but didn't said anything, it was because he didn't knew what to answer himself.

"It's useless to ask him !" I stated in mocking tone. "He is under my control !" I lied.

Allen immediately understood what I was doing and played the game.

I lied because if they were to be captured after all that they would be considered as traitor but with my lie, they would have a way to be released or to receive lower punishment.

The face of the old man was deformed by the pain, the fear and the anger.

"Disturb me once again and you'll be as good as dead !" I said with threatening look as we left.

After tha we went toward the palace's underground.

From what Allen told me, Angel was kept there.

It was a strange place, there was many cells, in.some of them we could see skeletons of formers prisoners.

At the deepest part of the underground, there was a room with a metallic door.

Tye door was locked, we didn't have the keys so Beta melted the lock with her flames.

When the door was open, we could see a little blond girl at the corner of the room folded on herself in fear.

As we entered the room, she looked slightly at us.

At the moment that she saw Allen's face, her face brightened.

"Allen !" she called as rushing toward him.

He gently knelt and took her in his arms.

She began to sob on his chest as he was hugging her.

"It's alright now !" he reassured her. "We are taking you out of here !"

She slightly smiled at him when she heard these words.

"I knew it ! I've always known that you'd be coming to save me !" she stated.

"Of course, I would never let your down !"

She smiled brightly at his response.

We were all looking at the reunion of these two in silence.

The stayed a little moment like that until I broke the silence.

"Well, it time to go, don't you think ?" I said.

The all noded in response.

After that we headed out of the underground, but when we were exiting it, we were stopped by a group of knights, and behind them, a barely standing Prime Minister with a smirk on his face.

"You won't go anywhere !" he stated arrogantly. "You'll pay for your sins, these are sacred knights of Kirangesh !"

He was thinking that these knights would be able to beat us, well, they were stronger than the guards at least but not a real threat for us, they were about 『lvl. 49』, even Allen could beat these guys he is 『lvl. 64』.

I sighed at the stupidity of that old man.

"First !" I said as turning my gaze at him and he immediately took action.

He decapitated those called sacred knights without them even able to see what happened.

As the heads of the knights were falling and rolling on the ground, the Prime Minister was tetanized, his face showing the fear that he felt at that moment.

"These weak guys were supposed to kill us ?" I asked him with a dark stare. "Do you want to die that badly ?"

After hearing these words, he ran as fast as he could to save his life.

First was about to run after him to finish him but I stopped him.

"Don't loose your time with trash !" I told him.

"W)ell, let's go home !" I stated with a smile, then I noticed the man that I sent here and the girl that seemed to be his daughter looking worried, maybe they thiought that they could suffer of reprisals from the other old guy.

"You can come with us, you know !" I stated.

The man looked at the girl before asking me,

"Could we take my wife as well ?"

"Yeah, no problem !" I replied.

"Really ?" he asked with his face becoming brighter.

"Yes !" I replied. "Where is she ?"

The little girl stepped forward and said with worried voice,

"She is ill, she his at home !"

'Ill ?'

"Let's take her and leave this city then !" I stated.

They all noded and we went out of tha palace.

There was knights and guards blocking our way at the exit of the palace, I just blew them away like I did with those in the room where Beta was attacked.

After that we rushed toward the house of the man.

Once we reached there, he found a woman lying on a bed with her eyes closed.

She looked in suffering.

The man had a sad expression on his face when he looked at his wife in that state.

"What did happen to her ?" I asked.

The man looked down.

"We don't really know,.she was like that since 3 months ago !" he replied. "The Prime Minister said that if I join the group of Allen with the mission that he has given to them, he would help me to heal her !"

He then began to sob, then his daughter grabed his hand to comfort him.

"I see !" I said.

'So the Prime Minister used all of them !' I thought.

"Well, let's see !" I stated while I was going nearer of the bed.

They looked at me as I used 『Analysis』to see what happened to her.

「Curse : Eternal sleep

A curse that make the victim sleep for ever 」

'So it was a curse ?'

'Maybe it was the Prime Minister! After all he used those guys !' I thought.

'But can I heal her ?' I asked myself.

「 Yes

By using 『Curse breaker』 」

'I don't even have that skill !' I thought, then

「 You have acquired『Curse breaker』

Do you want to use it?

Yes/No 」

'Yes'

I wondered from where did these skill come from but it was useful so I wouldn't complain.

As I activated the skill, my right hand began to shine in a blinding yellow light and without even me noticing it my eyes turned green and began to shine, then I saw some dark chains arround the woman on the bed. These chains were connected to a huge sleeping figure holding a clock without needles floating above the woman.

I then extended my hand to touch the chains, as I touched them, the chains broke and began to fade away dispersing in a multitude of particles in the air, the dark figure began do turn bright and woke up with and a smile it disapeared.

When, it was finished, my hand stopped to glow and my eyes went back to their normal state.

Everyone in the room wondered what I have done.

The woman's husband approached and asked me with a worried tone,

"W-what did happen ?"

I smiled and pointed at the woman without a word.

They all turned their gaze at her.

Her daughter was the first to notice that her eyes were beginning to move.

"Mom are you awake !" she asked while rushing toward her.

The man was surprised and went nearer.

Then they saw that her eyes were slowly opening.

The little girl grabed the hands of her mother as her face showed a bright smile.

When the woman was completely awaken, she looked around and saw her husband and daughter crying while smiling at seeing her waking up.

"It's a miracle !" the man stated.

"Honey ? What did happen ?" the woman asked confused.

"Nothing important ! We are just glad to see you back !" he replied.

They went in a collective huge for some time before I spoke.

"I don't want to interrupt your reunion but we need to move !" I said.

"Yes, you are right !" the man replied.

'But how will we get out of the city ?' I asked myself.

Then the idea came to my mind, 'Why not using Instant travel ?' I asked myself.

'No we are too many and we'll need to take some of this family' stuff !' I realized.

I sighed at the thought.

'If only I could open a portal like in these Animes I used to watch in my previous life !' I thought, then I got a notification,

「 You have acquired『Gate』

Do you want to use it?

Yes/No 」

'Huh? Again ?'

It was more strange but,

'Yes'

Then the portal open infront of me, it was big enough for a person to pass through.

It was a pal blue shining portal.

I passed my head through it and saw that it was leading in front of my base.

'I must practice how to use that skill later !' I thought.

"Well everyone, this way !" I said as I passed the gate and the others followed me.

The operation 'Angel flight' was a success !

But the troubles were coming !
