# mastermind
As an ordinary person, Yun Xu fought players who had spent a lot of money on a game without spending a dime of his own. On his 27th birthday, he wrote his birthday wish down in his notebook: “Immortality.”
His wish came true after he woke up but he was forced to transmigrate to another world. He was lost in a snowy mountain in a world of cultivation. Fortunately, he was saved by someone but his savior soon died after that. He was forced to take care of the five kids left by his savior.
“Cultivation is not an easy path to walk. I wouldn’t have taken it up if not for my immortality.” Yun Su, who became the strongest cultivator years later, told the youngsters who were about to begin their cultivation journey.
This novel really isn't too bad. More specifically, the source material doesn't seem too bad. The problem with this novel is that the translation is below MTL level, it's incoherent and I'm insulted that Webnovel actually allowed this to be released. Nowadays trashy novels get decent translations while the somewhat better ones get abysmal ones. I can't in good faith give this a good score due to the translation quality. 0/5.
Chapter 1 and they already get the MC's gender wrong 2 times if it gets better I might come back to it. ....................................
There's another similar one where MC is blind and teaches Animals
Translator does not know the difference between he and she. While it is still readable, It makes it frustrating to read and definitely lowers the quality of the work
It maybe good novel, I’m not sure bc I feel this novel is copy and paste it from mtl.
I have been waiting so long for a translation for this novel. Unfortunately, great story ruined by poor translation. Please put some effort in your translation team, webnovel.
for translator note. male - he, his female- she, her why the translator keep changing the gender of the mc. why should just stick using he, him only.
Ok story, bad translation. Ok story, bad translation. Ok story, bad translation. Ok story, bad translation. Ok story, bad translation.......
the novel has good potential but the translation ruined everything ..... .................................................. ............stupid translators .........

well translation su cks it's too heavy on Chinese culture and mythology ,one way a outsiders could read this is bye shutting down his rational part of the brain it's nothing new the initial settings a 100% copy of another older novel i think even the name of the sect is somewhat similar , as for the later part there are hundreds of novels with same setting of mc one with dao etc thou the cheat is somewhat different but core of it(lifespan ) is too present others this would still be good for Chinese readers but definitely not of international readers
really good story plot no over boosting Mc and logic thinking Mc. it decent world background and somewhat OK character development. hope this one is pick up
Like others have said, the translation quality is borderline trash. It really feels like MTL that was lazily edited. Other than that, the story itself is quite good. Decently paced, a little bit like slice of life, but with an immortal protagonist fumbling his way through traditional cultivation. So far, it doesn't seem like there will be any outrageous xuanhuan tropes, so I'm hoping this gets selected. It's a great change of pace.
The novel is fantastic, but the translation sucks. Good novelGood novelGood novelGood novelGood novelGood novelGood novelGood novelGood novel
