CHAPTER 38

I heard Mommy had arrived so I hurried out of my room and ran towards her. I don’t know why or maybe it’s because the wedding is set for tomorrow, she’s no longer locking me up inside the room and is allowing me to roam around here, although there are still many guards watching over me in every corner of the house.

Well, I’m much in favor of it rather than being a prisoner in our own house as if I committed an awful crime to deserve those cruel treatments from her.

My godmother has also sent me the information about Raiko’s illness. Mom went straight to their room and I followed her.

  “Mom, hear me out.”

“If all you’re going to say is about complaining about your upcoming wedding, stop it, Ezra. You’re wasting your time on nonsense. My decision is finalized,” she declared. I turned to Daddy who was looking at me pitifully.

  “Let her speak,” Dad interfered.
