The escape.

It was at that hour in the Capital that a woman hid her way out from the FBI centre.

"Inspector Joe Ken. I must say thank you for everything." Mrs Yumaa almost bowed to the man standing by a Toyota fielder.

"It's nothing. I had to help you. Those guys won't have let you out so soon." Inspector Joe Ken smiled as he now opened the door for Mrs Yumaa.

"I'm sorry I couldn't make it on time. Otherwise..." Inspector Joe Ken just sighed out the last part. It was sad that someone had shot Old Miss Gindi dead just along Avard street.

"Whoever did that, must not be underrated. "Mrs Yumaa who had been there during the minute closed her eyes as she remembered the scene.

Everything had turned bloody in just a minute. No one had had time to take cover. By the time the mist had cleared, Old Miss Gindi was dead, shot in the head.

The scene was bloody, with Old Miss Gindi's eyes still open, staring at the sky.

" I swear. I will kill the person who did that!" Mrs Yumaa vowed as Inspector Joe Ken drove innocuously around the city in search of a hotel to rest for the night.

"I won't stop till I get to the bottom of this too." Joe Ken sternly said.

Old Miss Gindi's body had already been taken care of and was now supposedly in the morgue. "I didn't even get the chance to hear her wish." Mrs Yumaa complained.

"Someone was there during the incident, " Inspector Joe Ken ignored her previous comment."Tsyukiyomi?"

"What!" Mrs Yumaa who was lost in sorrow suddenly pulled herself out.

"I'm saying there was someone else when the assassination took place." How Joe Ken discovered stuff was a mystery.

'How did he know?' Mrs Yumaa wondered before she decided to tell the truth.

"Yes. There was a man from Isiolo." She admitted.

"Who was he?" Inspector Joe Ken went ahead to ask.

It was not like Mrs Yumaa know of all people around the Gindi, but even the dummies working for Gindi knew Mrs Yumaa was the old lady's only friend. That meant she sure knew lots of stuff bout the mysterious old woman.

"I don't know the guy. He had an appointment with the old missus." Mrs Yumaa said.

"There is no need of hiding the truth from me." Inspector Joe Ken was not convinced at all.

"I just don't know who the man was. But Old Miss Gindi had a meeting with him. He is one of the most trusted and loyal subjects of the Gindi family. I can't say anything more than that." Mrs Yumaa meant what she said.

The traffic was thin and soon Inspector Joe Ken stopped by the Travellers Hotel.

"We are going to have a rest. Tomorrow we head back to check on Bryan." Inspector Joe Ken decided.

"Ok. But I have to make a call to the heir first." Mrs Yumaa said as they came into Travellers Hotel.

"Welcome, dear guest."The lady at the counter smiled at them. "How may we be of service to you honourable?" The lady requested.

"We need a room." Joe Ken ordered.

"No! Rooms!" Mrs Yumaa blurted out loudly almost scaring the lady.

"Oh ok." The lady got over the feeling.

"Yes, we need two separate rooms." Inspector Joe Ken corrected himself.

"Ok. Please help me with your ID." The lady claimed. "Is for security purposes. Your information is safe with us."

Mrs Yumaa felt uneasy giving out her identity, "IDs?" She asked again. 'No, not after hiding her way out of the integrity centre where the FBI had her for questioning.'

"You can use mine for both of us?" Inspector Joe offered his instead as the lady behind the counter accepted and processed the procedure.

"Thank you for your patience. Here are the keys to your room." The lady handed out a key.

"Excuse me? Didn't I say two separate rooms?" Mrs Yumaa reminded the lady.

"Yeah. Sorry here is your key. Your room is on the second floor adjacent to his. Feel welcome to the Travellers." The lady then moved forward a bit to service the other customer who had just arrived.

"Thank you." Inspector Joe Ken appreciated as he picked up the keys and handed one to Mrs Yumaa.

This hotel could be said to be at the middle-class level. From the view, everything here was affordable and pocket friendly.

"Let's talk tomorrow Mrs Yumaa." Inspector Joe Ken close the short talk they had as they walked up the stairs.

Though he still felt the need to question Mrs Yumaa about the third party who was present during the assassination, he decided to keep it for tomorrow.

"Ok. good night Joe. Thanks, I will pay you back soon." Mrs Yumaa promised as she opened her door and hid in the room.

'I have to get in touch with Bryan!' Mrs Yumaa panicked in the room. She remembered one of the faces she did see on the street attacking them. Something about them was familiar, their dress and hairstyle.

"Hello?" It was a good thing she had a microphone handset safe on her waist. She could make a secured call to the mansion in the Highland. She was sure Bryan was home by now.

"Hello? Bryan?" She could hear the noise on the other end. Something was not right.

Just at that moment, Joe Ken knocked on the door.

"What is it!" Mrs Yumaa almost shouted but instead minimized her voice to a whisper.

"What?" She asked again as Joe Ken beckoned at the CCTV.

"I don't want to be recorded." He simply said. " Do I come in?"

"No!" Mrs Yumaa denied it."Whatever you want to say now." She had to hide away from Joe Ken's watch too. She couldn't let him know too much about the Gindi.

"We can talk tomorrow. I'm so tired please." Mrs Yumaa tried to pretend as she yawned and stretched.

"Ok. I won't force the issue." Inspector Joe Ken gave in and after a short sigh, walked back to his room relieving Mrs Yumaa of the pressure.

'I must go back to the highlands. But how? I know Joe Ken is all attentive, he won't let me leave.' Mrs Yumaa wondered as a thought crossed her mind.

"Hi, lady?" Mrs Yumaa sneaked out of the room and down to the counter, the lady from before was still there.

"Hey. It's you! Is there any problem?" The lady asked.

"Eeer yeah. Did my husband leave the keys to our car?" Mrs Yumaa asked. "Like I need to fetch some juice from the bar next street."

"Well. We do sell juices over there. There is a restaurant just past that door. It's cheap I can show you around if you don't mind." The lady offered but Mrs Yumaa grew tired of this.

"I need the keys to do some personal stuff!" She raged. Time was not on her side and this lady just won't understand.

"Sorry, Madam. Here are your husband's keys. He left them on the counter. You can have them." The timid lady foolishly gave out the keys.

"Thank you so much." Mrs Yumaa finally made up a smile as she took the keys and walked out.

"I'm sorry Joe." She said as she got in the car and drove off.

Up in the guest room overseeing the front of the Hotel. Joe was wise enough to pick the room with the window facing the parking lot. From his position, he could see his car among the rest in the well-lit light.

'I know Mrs Yumaa is up to something.' Inspector Joe Ken judged. After leaving Mrs Yumaa alone, he had instead walked to his window and keep an eye out.

All this was going just as he planned. He knew she would go back for his keys. That's why he did leave the keys at the counter earlier, just to ease her way back to the highland.

'Sure, she is running off with my car.' Inspector Joe grinned as he saw Mrs Yumaa hurriedly getting in his car and driving off.

It was time he informed the rest of his team.

"Copy this Jane. She is headed to the Highlands. Keep an eye on her." Joe Ken spoke through his talkee as his car drove into the traffic.

Back at the highlands.

Bryan was just about to show out the list of suspicious Companies on the document when the first bang shook the nerves out of them.

"Was that a gunshot?" The lawyer shook, trying to hide on the couch.

They were under attack! The guards all ran to the front gate to respond at this moment.

"Yes. Quickly follow me back to the backyard." Bryan urged them. They had to hide.

"Mr Gindi!" The guard who had been alerting them of visitors today ran in to help them.

"Mr Gindi." He marched quickly closing the distance. "You have to leave here now! Follow me out please." He commanded politely as he provided cover for the exit.

'Why isn't he with the rest?' Abi had grown suspicious of everyone.

"Bryan?" She pulled the back of his shirt.

"I feel something is wrong with the guard," Abi whispered as the guard appeared behind them.

"Quick Mr Gindi. They already penetrated the defence!" The guard gave no one no time to think over anything.

"Use the door at the end of the wall out of the east side of the Arbour. There is a car parked there!" The guard shouted out as he ran back to divert anyone who might have seen their escape.
