The inner circle 1.

Long ago, when everything was not like today, Mae would just ask for anything from the man who worked as a butler back in Angels City.

She remembered how she fetched information about students and people she wanted to know about. Back then she even used the family's name to acquire a new iPhone to chat with her lover, Bryan, after the Miami case.

This had been possible because she knew of the inner circle, the well-trusted and loyal subjects that worked for the Governor of that time, her father, Mr Katumo.

"Babe!"

"What is it!?" Bryan turned his head back to look at the pretty scared teenage girl.

It had all been after escaping from the mansion and getting out of the wall. They had expected a car, parked waiting for them, but to their disappointment, there was none.

'I knew that guard could not be trusted!' Abi kept regretting why she had followed behind instead of airing out her advice for them to instead divert direction.

"There must be someone here," Bryan confirmed to the lawyer who by now was on the verge of trembling.

"Did that guard lie?" Abi asked as she took a step forward to look at the road. Darkness was creeping in, and her sight could only go for a distance of less than a kilometre.

"Hao Ge won't pick up my phone call!" Bryan sweated as he tried to reach out to him again. He went ahead to try Mrs Yumaa's after realizing Hao Ge may not be near his cell phone.

"Hey! Mrs Yumaa!" His voice loud in the dusk echoed a bit.

"Is that you? Bryan?!?" Mrs Yumaa didn't waste a second as she received the call and acquired the situation.

"I will be there in an hour!" Mrs Yumaa replied as she, who was now miles away stepped harder on the gas and overtook a sum of cars on the highway to Thika.

"I think someone is coming!" Abi was the first to see the headlights of a dim car drive-in.

"At least!" The lawyer grew impatient and hasty to leave as the car came to a stop, for them to board.

"Bryan! Get in the car!" The window on the left rolled down as a familiar voice encouraged them.

"We got no time! Hurry up!"

'Prince Ge!' Bryan almost exclaimed as he rushed ahead to save a seat for himself and his brides without thinking.

It had been such a long time without a word from the other. So even after all this time, Prince Ge still proved to be a friend undoubtedly.

"William Ge!" Bryan called out his name. He was now seated in the front seat, next to the driver. At the back were his girls and the lawyer.

"Prince Ge... " Prince Ge answered as he drove out of sight.

"What happened back there!" Prince Ge asked as he took a long dust full road off the main into the wilderness.

"I didn't get to know... But someone is on lease." Bryan replied as the car came to a stop and Prince Ge had them out of the car.

"Thanks, Prince." Abi courteously appreciated it as she took out her phone now to call the police.

"Shxt! No network!" This was the lawyer who had long been trying to make contact with anyone for help.

It was at this moment they all took out their phone only to realize this place was out of coverage.

"Can we go somewhere else?" Bryan wanted Prince to drive them elsewhere.

Looking behind he saw that Prince Ge was not interested in him but in someone else. In this wildness, no one would help them, they were doomed if it was a trap.

"Prince Ge!" Bryan ran back to try pulling him out of whatever he was thinking but only got surprised.

It was dark, and the puff of gods was getting stronger with an icy sensation. If no one acted now, they may be trapped here.

"Maeia... I've finally come back to you." Prince Ge managed to steal Mae's attention and walk up to her.

It was going rough for everyone. "There is no time for proposals.! We have to drive out of here!" The lawyer was raging.

"Prince Ge!"

Finally, Bryan's voice was audible over the wind. With it was a tone of worry and anger.

"We have to drive elsewhere." Bryan tried to make it sound like a request but failed.

"We are safe here! If you are cold you can rest in the car!" Prince Ge shouted back. The whole situation started unfolding revealing the mischief in it.

By the side, next to the car, Abi stood with her hands crossed. 'I think prince is not up to good.' She had been thinking back to it. To her no one was trustable, it would be better to hide by oneself.

"If you don't mind, you will have to let me talk with Mae." Prince Ge turned his back on everyone as he caught the sexy teenage girl hurling onto his body.

'Ouuuuw!'

Mae had not expected any of this and the grasp on her arm was hard and painful.

"Let go of me!" She screamed as her body was locked in the arms of her admirer, William Ge.

It was all clear to everyone, prince Ge had intentions of dropping them off in the middle of nowhere.

"What are you doing? Let go of her now!" Bryan rushed forward like a bull knocking Prince Ge out of balance as he pulled Mae out of his grip.

"How dare you!" Prince Ge was surely angry.

"I won't let you. Stay away or else..."

"Are you threatening me?" Prince Ge walked slowly toward them. His way was cunning and vicious, from the looks.

"I swear!... Stay away from her!"Bran pulled Mae behind his back as he stood up for her.

"Are you faster than this?" Prince Ge stopped meters away as he smiled back with a question.

"What!" Bryan asked.

"Guy? Can't we just get going?" Abi ran in between them. She won't let a fight break out, not now, not under the mood.

Only Bryan and his contestant stood, not afraid of the dark or past but ready to solve their issue with fists.

"She is right! No need to fight over her." The lawyer added as he too took a step forward.

Everyone had tried his best to help but only by using Ge's car could they do well.

"I don't have a problem myself. He started this." Prince Ge answered all. "Or is this person's issue?"

His question was directed to Bryan.

"Keep your distance away from her." Bryan ignored his politeness.

It was clear they would break the chain and fight for Mae but instead, Prince Ge laughed crazily.

"I'm not here for a fight. I'm here for her and you."

"And what is the funny thing about that? They are engaged! You should know that." The lawyer came in between.

But, Prince Ge was determined to accomplish his mission. In his life, he had always won, and tonight, he had to win Mae.

"Keep out of this skinny man." Prince Ge retorted as he invited his demon to take over.

"I'm sorry Bryan, but I have no other option." Prince Ge who had moved his way out of Abi's body and got around her pointed a gun at Bryan.

"Are you faster than this?" He had everything under his control now.

"I knew you were a bastard!" Abi cursed as she finally realized her sense was true.

The darkness covered the whole slope giving an advantage to the unarmed.

"Don't dare move!" Prince Ge warned as he saw the shadow of someone flip. " I won't hesitate on pulling the trigger. Now Mae come over now!"

No one would have thought of Prince Ge's lust to be so demanding. Even after all that period, he had waited for his turn.

"There is no need in doing this." The lawyer breathed heavy. Though it was dark now, no one dared to try anything termed as stupid.

"I'm not coming to you! I hate you!" Mae screamed as she hug herself onto Bryan.

"Prince Ge, please calm down." Bryan acted cool as he saw the shadowy figure belonging to Prince Ge walked forward, with the gun pointed at his head.

"If you are fast then I will let it go." Everyone understood that he meant Bryan to dodge a bullet.

"Prince Ge. Stop it now!" Abi and the Lawyer yelled as Prince Ge rested the gun on Bryan's head. It was going to be over now.

"I just asked for the girl." Prince Ge said as he tried to calm himself. His finger trembled on the trigger as he held Bryan captive.

"What are you doing?" Mae cried. " take me with you instead." Mae sacrificed herself for the life of Bryan.

"No don't! Mae!" Bryan courageously fought back.

"I'm sorry. But I have to go with him." Mae stepped aside and surrendered.

"You made a wise decision." Prince Ge automatically turned his target to Mae and threatened them all.

"Any move and she is dead. Like this, Bang!" He had her in his grasp as he pulled her to the car.

"What do you think you doing!" Abi cried as Bryan fell weak to react with words but anger. Wrath soared in his body as he began to tremble, not for the coldness, but the yearning for revenge.

"Bryan remain calm." The lawyer through the dark knew of Bryans's intention. "Bryan don't!" He warned but it was too late.
