Chance
*JK Pov*
As soon Y-N left I grabbed his collar and angrily asked....
"What are you doing here? How do you even know Y-N and what you want?"
"Relax JK! We have so much time to discuss these things, no need to hurry."
He replied taking my hands off from him.
"Don't fool around and just answer me damnit! How do you know Y-N?"
I yelled at him
"Fucking bastard you want to know the answer huh. So listen, I know her from the time when she almost got into an accident because of you!"
He yelled back pushing me and I fell on the floor. I was shocked at his answer.
"What-what do you mean?"
I barely managed to ask him.
"Why don't you ask her!" He replied and left me there dumbfounded.
"Y-N was getting into an accident because of me? When did it happen and why the hell I don't remember it?"
Ahh.... I shouted in frustration.
*Next Day Y-N Pov*
I came to the office and directly went to my cabin. I called Ryunjin and asked her to give me updates from yesterday since I left early. I got to know that there was alot of pending work. I sighed before getting so busy in it that didn't notice Jungkook came until he spoke....
"Y-N I want to talk to you about something please answer me honestly!"
I looked up at him from my laptop screen and by seeing his facial expression I can tell that something is wrong.
"Okay, what is it Sir?" I asked him and he got more annoyed by my remark.
"Y-N can you please forget for a moment that I am your boss because I want to talk with you as Jungkook your boyfriend."
"EX Boyfriend!" I corrected him and he rolled his eyes at me.
"Where did you meet Taehyung?"
He asked biting his lower lip nervously.
'It doesn't matter, just know that he's my good friend now!"
"It does matter to me because he told me that you were going to get into an accident when he met you so please.... please let me know where was I that time and how come I'm the reason behind it?" He said in one breath almost yelled.
My eyes widened at him and I was lost at words. I looked behind him and saw employees eyeing us and gossiping. They are doing it for a month now and TBH I don't blame them because afterall it's me and Jungkook who has been doing this uneccessary drama all the time for them to enjoy. I sighed and walked over to the door shutting it. I decided to tell him everything about me and Tae or else he won't stop bothering me.
"Come sit first!" I said to him pointing at the couch.
He wasted no time in doing what was told and I sat across from him.
*JK Pov*
"So-" She started nervously and I impatiently waited for her to complete.
"You remember when I left your house after finding about you and Lisa?"
She asked.
I nodded before replying...
"How can I forget the worst day of my life!"
She turned her head away and took deep breaths fighting the tears from falling. I looked down at my feet embarrassed with my actions and hurting her.
She continued...
"I drove to the home crying and trembling but suddenly the car stopped in midway. I got out and saw the tire was bursted. After panicking and cursing my fate I thought of taking a cab. But then also I didn't realized I was standing near the road and was almost closed to get hit by a car when someone pulled me out of the way!"
Swallowing the lump in my throat, I asked her...
"Was it Tae who saved you?"
She nodded before speaking again.
"Yes. He started nagging me on how I was going to get myself killed and I fought back replying... (Why did you save me it was better if I had died) and broke down in front of him. He looked at me appalled for a moment then told me that he'll drop me off. Before I could even protest he grabbed my hand and took me to his car. He offered me water and after relaxing a bit I told him my address and soon we reached there. He made sure I was ok before I left, and when I asked him what I can do to return his kindness he chuckled and passed me his number saying he'll let me know, and he drove away.
From that day till today he never once asked me to return his favor but gradually we became good friends. He was there to cheer me up when I was a living corpse. He's the one who brought me to the daily life again from the depression caused by you!"
She explained to me and was a crying mess by now. I sat frozen in my place not knowing how to react to all this. The least I could do was embrace her in my arms.
'I'm sorry baby, I'm really sorry that you have to go through all this because of me. But I swear, I never planned to hurt you and I don't even know how things turned out like this in a blink of an eye."
She pulled back from my hug whimpering and replied...
"Just tell me one thing Jungkook. Did you ever loved me?"
"Ofcourse I did Y-N, I still do and you will always be the love of my life!"
I exclaimed holding her hands.
"Then why was I not enough for you?"
She asked gritting her teeth in anger.
""You are more than enough for me!"
I replied looking down on our hands.
"Huh, if that was the case we wouldn't have been here like this!"
She said pulling her hands away from mine and stood up from the seat.
"I just need one chance Y-N and I promise I'll explain everything to you about what happened between me and Lisa!"
I also stood up from my place and went near her.
"Will your explanations be able to make any difference between us?"
I turned my head away at her reply not knowing what to say anymore.
"No right! So rather than wasting the time on it you should take care of Lisa and your baby. Live happily with them and let go of the past which will only cause pain to everyone."
My heart clenched listening to her but I managed to told her that...
"I- I still need to clear things from my side and after that I won't bother you again if that's what you want!"
She thought for a minute and then replied with "OK"! I got so happy that finally I got a chance to talk things out with her.
"But not now. We are still in the office!"
She continued
I looked at her and replied with excitement lacing my voice.
"Hmm let's go for dinner after office. What say?"
She nodded returning to her desk and started working again. As promised I left from there not bothering her anymore.
