Let Go

I checked my phone for the last time but there was still no sign of Tae. So as decided I walked over to the Jungkook's office first. I knocked on the door until a voice came from behind it.

"Come In!" He stated

I took a deep breath and opened the door stepping in. I saw him talking on the phone so I stood near his desk waiting for him to be done. He smiled weakly at me when our eyes met.

"Okay, that's great. Let's have a meeting some time to discuss other details as well!" 

He replied on the phone and cut the line.

"Have a seat Ms. Y-N!" He said motioning to one of the chairs.

I did what I was told but before I could speak why was I here he continued...

"What a coincidence. I was going to ask my PA after this call to send you here to see me but you came even before that!" He chuckled saying that.

"Oh, may I know why were you looking for me?" I asked confused

"I'll tell you after you tell me what bring you here?" 

He asked me back while placing his elbows on a desk and giving out the warmest smile I loved to see on his face.

I tried to look somewhere else but him before replying...

"Actually I wanted to go out in break to run some errands but now if I think, it might take me more time so I'm taking a half day from work if you have no problems with it!"

"I've no problems anymore, you can go. Also I'm willing to accept your resignation without any compensation!"

His words made me a little taken aback from the sudden mention of my resignation. To be honest, I had completely forgotten about it that I wanted one.

"No I don't- I mean yeah but my 3 months isn't completed yet for it to happen!"

I said trying to sound reasonable.

"I know, it was just an excuse to make you stay so I could explain everything to you which happened between us. If I had accepted your resign back then I wouldn't have gotten a chance to talk about all that yesterday. So, there's no need for you to work here anymore under any kind of pressure. I hope you get the best opportunity ahead of this!"

He replied calmly.

I nodded understandingly and tried to hold my tears from falling.

"I got it. However, let me finish working here till this month comes to an end and would leave after that. Btw, I'm very thankful for everything this company did for me. It played a very important role in making me a confident and smart working woman!"

By saying this, I stood up on my feet and held out my hand in front of him. He wasted no time in doing the same and we shooked our hands.

"You were one of the best employees we have in this company. A woman who is dedicated, punctual, hardworking and charming whom I admired the most not just as an employee but the love of my life. If it wasn't for your ultimate support to me, this company wouldn't have been at the top place right now because I might had given up a long time before. Thank you Y-N for always been there for me!"

He told me with a smile lingering on his lips while his eyes were brimming with tears.

Not knowing what to say I just nodded in response and left from there before I could get weak and fall apart. I went straight to my cabin and sat down on my chair questioning myself why is letting go of everything is hurting me more than I thought when it's the best thing we could do for all of us. Suddenly memories started clouding my vision about the time when I first joined here. The cold and handsome cocky boss from whom everyone was afraid of made me fall head over heels for him. What funny is that later he turned out to be the cutest bunny on planet. How can I forget the best moment of my life when he proposed me. It was like a dream come true. Staying together under one roof top, working professionally but not so professionally in the office with my boss boyfriend. Thinking of our lovely dates, never ending bickering, happy and sad moments finally made me burst into a crying mess.

After I was done crying my heart, I left the office to get distract from all this. I tried to find Tae's office but it was harder than I thought. I really need him with me now because only he would be able to understand me. With the help of walking by people and so many wrong turns I finally reached there. The place was secluded so not many people were aware of it. I was going into the building when a giant man in black suit blocked me. I looked at him somewhat surprised but he stood still like a robot, a scary one though. I stepped back when he move forward to me like he caught his prey. I swallowed the lump in my throat before speaking.

"I- I uh think came to the wrong place. Sorry to bother you, I'll be going now!"

I said and hurriedly turned to walk away from there. I don't know what got into me but this place doesn't seem right to me and there's no way Taehyung is here. My thoughts were interupted when I heard someone call my name. I looked around and saw a guy similar like a Tae walking closer to me grinning. He's also wearing a black suit but is nothing like a robot man. He's quite young and handsome. Also doesn't seem like a threat. When he stopped in front of me, I precautionary took a step back.

"Yes- how do you know me?"

I asked him getting curious.

"I'm the one who takes care of Taehyung's work when he goes to see you in the middle of it."

He replied and I sighed a breath of relief.

"Oh, so you are his friend."

I replied back smiling a little.

"Well you can say that too!"

He shrugged his shoulders. I looked at him confused and he snort a laugh at me before asking...

"Nevermind, are you here to see him?"

"Yes, he's been gone for days. I was worried for him!"

"Hm, so he has some improvements."

He mumbled under his breath with a sly smirk.

"Did you say something?" 

I asked him when I didn't get ahold of his words.

"No, I didn't. Just come with me I'll take you to him. Lucky for you he's inside."

I still didn't get his point but now I'm used to being a dumbass. I followed him to the entrance door passing that scary man. To my surprise there were many other people like him inside. They're all wearing same black suits.

"You know, I thought that I came to a wrong place when a man out there stopped me and since offices doesn't usually have this kind of security and environment. I have also not seen a single girl in this creepy place!" I spoke making him turn to me. He looked at me for a second then let out a chuckle.

"Yeah right, because our work-!"

He was interrupted in mid sentence by one of the man who was passing by. He stopped near us eyeing me than turning to the man beside me asking him....

"Hey Baek, how was the mission?"

"As always, smooth like butter. Like a criminal undercover."

He replied and they both laughed proudly.

"That's my bro!"

The man told him and left from there.

Before I could ask him what were they talking about his phone started ringing. He picked it up and told the other person on call to wait...

"Y-N we are almost there. You should continue on your way I'll follow you after this call." He told me and was about to go aside when I pull his arm stopping him in his tracks.

"Can't we go together please!"

I replied to him in a pleading voice. I'm just scared and he's the only person here I could trust.

"Y-N it might take me some time because it's important therefore I'm asking you to go by yourself. Don't worry nothing will happen to you because everyone saw you with me they won't dare."

"I know but still..." 

I tried to cut a slack but he was fast with it.

"Okay, let me guide you. Turn left from here and climb down the stairs. After walking through some blocks you would see Tae's office!"

He told me and I nervously nodded. We parted our ways he walked out from there while I followed the instructions. On the way my heart is beating so fast that I feel like it would come out of my chest anytime. My sixth sense is telling me that something big is about to come.

"Aish, I'm gonna beat this Taehyung's ass when I finally find him. I mean what is all this and why did he never mentioned anything about this place. I thought he has a big company like Jungkook since they both are friends but I guess he's working here just like a standard employee. It's okay Y-N, don't be a racist you should help your friend from moving out this place!"

I stopped uttering rubbish when I noticed a big room. I walked closer to it and saw the letter's "King Taehyung" engraved on the door with a lion symbol above it.

"Who is this man actually?" 

I looked at it amazed. My hand reached on it's own to trace the piece of art when the door slightly pushed open.
