Chapter 4: Journey to the North

PART 1

Upon walking towards the Head Tent of Etobu, I met with the leader of this village, her name went by Aurora, the leader of Etobu village. Not many visit her often as she is either deciphering a prophecy, or either visioning one.

I didn't hesitate to speak to her, however soon as I walked inside of the tent I was stopped by two large men, 6'5 in their height wearing exaggerated long hula hoop earrings on their ears. They were strong, why wouldn't they be? They protected the leader of Etobu village with all their might in order to keep their future-seeker alive.

I stepped back and didn't go any further, only having my back touching against the entrance of the tent. "Lady Aurora, I wish to speak with you on important matters, please it is urgent!"

In front of me she was at her desk, her hands joined together with a large map onto the desk. I glanced at the map, it was the exact map I needed for what I was going to ask, so did she already know? "That map... it's what I came to ask for... how did you—"

"Come my child, let him by. Seth you see is an important light in this world, he will join together not only us mortals but even the gods above who control fate for us silly 'ol mortals... now now, sit down my dear Seth."

I hadn't a clue to what she was saying. Looking behind me I made sure Cain didn't follow from peeking outside, and now sighing in relief I made my way towards her, sitting in the seat she had offered me. I placed my hands onto my lap, gripping my pants in a slight taste of anxiety—

"Speak, Seth..."

She told me without any other words following behind, it was firm and clear to what she wanted me to say.

"I wish to travel to the mountain of the gods, I want to speak with them, even if it kills me..."

In front of me was the map, and the country we were on.

• The Country of Ofriedan

- Population: 1.42 million (Estimated)

- Status: Neutral

- Location: Located East of Earth

It is even said the country of Ofriedan is to have more than its estimated amount of population, however it is unknown; inside of the middle of the country is what's called the 'Devil Zone' — I cannot make it to the mountain of gods if I don't pass the devil zone, as it is impossible any other way.

Many has tried to walk around the devil zone to visit the mountain of the gods, but doing that ended up in a mysterious death as to why it didn't work.

The only safest option for me... is to risk my life within the Devil Zone, for my brothers.

"You know Seth... doing this, you will have to traverse into the Devil Zone. Many legends state it's the most dangerous place in the world, it's why we don't get many visitors from other countries. Actually it is very much known that the Devil Zone is where demonic activity is most heavy at."

I looked down in utter defeat after hearing this, it made me scared, I was scared of it more than I could say. I even hesitated to reply towards her words, but I pulled through...

"I know, Lady Aurora. It is said inside the Devil Zone, it's where an ancient Civilization discovered some mysterious power to make contract with devils who exists inside of Purgatory, the myths has spread for as long as I could remember. Upon journeying there I must trust no one, and stick to my goal..."

PART 2

I looked down at the map presented in front of me on the table, it was clear to where I was going. Taking a quill and dipping it in some ink I would draw upon the map, depicting where I would travel in order to make my way into the foot of the mountain of gods.

"I'll take an straight ahead route, splitting up into a unpredictable path, I wish to not encounter any devil users and rather stay on guard until I meet foot of the mountain. I believe my strength is enough to take down maybe a few, but an entire army I am good as dead."

She looked down at the map I had planned out and closed her eyes, was she disappointed in me? I did not know what lady Aurora thought, her mind was beyond even human understanding.

"You wish to take a dangerous road, perhaps that is what makes you so special next to your brothers. Cain, Abel, and you Seth have the most courage to even explore the dangers of the Devil Zone to benefit each other and show your love for one another. Such blessings... I am truly happy for you three to be born within my village!"

She started tearing up, lady Aurora has never shown any emotions that resided with tears... I couldn't believe my eyes at first, but then I smiled, smiling harder than I've ever done in my life.

She predicted over hundreds of calamities for the sake of her people, to earthquakes, tsunamis, tornados, and even severe thunderstorms, but if she cried with her prophecy involving me, then I knew that this must be an important journey I must take.

PART 3

"Lady Aurora..."

I said her name in a gentle voice, a small chuckle escaped my lips before I stood up, rolling up the map, and grasping it with my hand "You said I'll be the one to ally the gods with even Mortals, well I believed that prophecy to be false, however who am I to say until I actually venture out to see what's in store for me? Thank you Lady Aurora..."

I turned to face the door, however my arm was grabbed—

"Take this, Seth..." She grabbed my arm before holding out her other, held within her hand was a necklace, having the symbol of a wheel inside of it... confused, I grabbed the necklace holding it into the sky.

"It is the necklace of Providence, it is said wearing this will guide you to your path and even protect you by the spirit of the first mortals, Adam and Eve... so wear it, journey out into your adventure and do what you must. I put my full trust into you, Seth..."

"Something so valuable... Lady Aurora, are you certain—"

I paused for a moment, in front of me she had collapsed as her body went limp, slumping over onto the table. My eyes lit up in curiosity, what had happened?! Was she alright? I didn't know what to think... did I do this?

The two men guarding her were catch to catch her before her head hit the desk, they panicked as I stood there in absolute shock of it all...

"MADAM! MADAM AURORA SPEAK TO US!"

The two warriors called out her name, all while I held onto the necklace given to me... I noticed when she took this necklace off... it had... killed her?

"LADY AURORA IS DEAD!!!"
