Chapter 13: Demons of Purgatory pt2

PART 1

"My Master seeks to take the blade Dàinsleif for himself. I know not of it's power but I see what It could do... now I understand I am in no situation to play around."

"You're just now figuring that out?"

Providence talked back to the Shadow demon and dropped her magical circle, crossing her arms before standing upon my shoulder.

"My master Adramalech, he wishes to take Dàinsleif into his own hands so he can become the most powerful demon of them all. He told me these exact words: 'As of now a boy has Dàinsleif inside of his hands, residing inside of the Devil Zone, stalk and watch his every move to see how much control he has over the blade', He simply wishes to take the sword and rule Beloveno with his own power."

Hearing these words I glared at the Shadow demon, it's voice changed but it's face didn't necessarily have an emotion, I could only hear it's emotion.

"To be giving away all of this information, maybe you'll be useful to us, Shadow demon."

I placed Dàinsleif on my other shoulder that Providence wasn't on, temporarily dropping my guard, however it was for a reason—

"Tell me, why exactly give away such important information on your master?"

"Lord Adramalech is a demon who only cares for himself and none of us. I was forced into this job, I had no choice but to partake inside of it, leaving me having to stalk you both and send information back."

Providence levitated off my shoulder now and hovered face-first in front of the demon.

"How can we trust you?"

Providence asked before holding out her hand, casting the same magical circle.

"You demons took even my Celestial realm away! You demons took away everything I had, you all are the reasons why I'm stuck here in the Mortal world! It's because of you and your kind!!!"

I never thought I would see it, but Providence's other side of anger was truly a fearsome sight. Around her was even an outpouring of divine aura escaping her body...

"I-I don't know who you are... wait— could you be Celestial, Providence?"

PART 2

The shadow demon seemed to know of providence, this was actually getting interesting. Now that I think about it, once I mentioned purgatory during the first time I met providence, she seemed to give off an nervous atmosphere.

"That is right, it's me Providence. I see the entirety of Purgatory demons know of me, do they? Tsk... what a pain!"

I walked forward a few steps and sluggishly dropped Dàinsleif from my shoulders and it's tip onto the ground.

"Providence, what is it that you aren't telling me?"

I could see it her bow her head down and bite her lip. A shadow covered half of Providence's face, I didn't know why she was acting like this, but then she took it a step further—

「"Origin Sorcery: Guillotine」

The magical circle she formed had vanished, and she switched to a different Sorcery entirely.

"My Origin... is fading?"

I watched as Providence touched the Shadow demons body with her tiny hand, however once she had done so, the Shadow demon began to slowly vanish away, bit by bit.

"Why… why did you kill him?"

"We got enough information don't we, Child of Mortality? We need him no longer."

I didn't know it at first, but Providence was crying in front of me. I seen tears flow from the socket of her eyes, she turned away for me to not see anymore, but personally I wanted too.

PART 3

"Shows me that even Gods have feelings, and aren't so emotionless like many believe."

I subconsciously spoke what was on my mind.

"Providence, you know I trust you more than ever, you've helped me and even saved my life when you first appeared. If there's anything, and I mean anything on your mind, you can talk to me."

Despite her being Five inches I didn't care, I placed my hands underneath her small legs and lifted her closer to my shoulder, keeping her there.

"I never want you to feel alone, when I'm right here."

Providence's eyes lit up, she was balling in tears to the point she didn't even care if I touched her.

"Child of Mortality... why is life so cruel? Why does it have to treat me this way!?"

I used my finger to rub her head back and forth as she sat upon my shoulders.

"I should be asking you that question Providence, and I should be asking what's the reason for those tears of yours. But when the day comes, I'll be here to listen."

Providence reached her small hand towards a slither of my white hair hanging down my head, grasping it with her hand and using it as a tissue to wipe away those crystal clear tears.

"I apologize for what I've said, Child of Mortality. I am glad that Aurora given the necklace to you... and I am glad to be by your side guiding you on your journey, Hero."

"It's about time you came around, Providence."
