Chapter 17: Enter Village of Devils

PART 1

On my journey through the Mountain of the Gods I managed to end up in a sacred Village.

This village however, being sacred, still had some things off about it.

"It smells..."

I walked through an pathway of abandoned houses, some burnt down to the ground, and skeletons hanging off the side of the abandoned structures.

"Careful, Child of Mortality. As we speak, we're walking through the village of Devil contractors."

The people who had made contracts with devils, they resided in this run down place. I can't imagine for one, living in a dump like this.

"How can you tell if one made a contract with a Demon? I need to know in case I run across one."

Providence who was sitting on top of my head and pulling the strands of my hair as if I was some horse she told to slow down, eventually would let go of me.

"Well you know your Origin exists in another reality, but do you know what an Origin looks like?"

These were the questions I always wanted to know, having no clue to what an Origin looked like, had left me confused.

"Not really...?"

"Your Origin actually looks like your Amalgamation. Let's say that your amalgamation looks like a beautiful Angel, well your Origin would look just like that, inside of the Unraveled World. They come in many shapes and sizes!"

What? Well this got confusing real quick.

"Okay, I have a general understanding on it. So they just look like your desires, which essentially is your amalgamation?"

"Yup! Precisely on point."

"Well, that doesn't really help on how I could tell if someone made a contract with a Demon, what if they are just all origin users? And how can I tell a normal origin user from a Devil Contractor?"

Providence sighed to herself on top of my head, I think I even got her there on that one.

"Sigh... I have no clue, however the most logical thing to think of is them having Amalgamations of Devils."

"I see..."

Well that made more sense to me. Holding onto Dàinsleif in my hands, I gripped the hilt with two of my hands, focusing enough to link myself with True Reality.

PART 2

"This is—"

I paused for a second once I linked myself with the Unraveled world. Now since I was linked, I could see everything in front of me.

"Yes, this is the unraveled world. Can you see it? Well, truth be told I didn't link my body in the normal reality with true reality in quite some time, so let's see what I'm missing out on!"

Providence stood on top of my head and risen her arms above her head unnecessarily.

"LINK!"

Again, as I said, this was all unnecessary. She could've just done it quietly.

"Woah, I forgot how it looked. The Unraveled World is pretty much the normal reality but kinda inverted?"

Looking up above me I could see a red crimson sky, the trees pitch black but Amalgamations being clear as day around me. Everything had one, down to the little ants below me on an ant hill.

I could see everyone's information via their Amalgamation, and even touch their information, I could even manipulate it if I had wanted too, changing their DNA, and even their existence entirely, as an Origin user.

Everything was under my power for Non-Origin users.

"What's... that?"

As I did look above me, I noticed something odd.

"It's... your… Origin?"

Mine seemed weird. It was in the shape of a short girl, a beautiful young girl with silky white hair and hazel shiny eyes.

Providence was right, this was my Origin.

"Why is it in the shape of a young girl?"

I asked curiously.

"Why? You idiot, it looks like that because of your desires! Usually an Origin's appearance is based off of one's desires and whatever comforts them the most, and... uhhhh, little girls comforts you the most huh?"

"W-What? What the hell Providence?"

This bitch.

"That's not even remotely close to what comforts me, you short ass fairy rip off!"

"Me short? You are still an little twerp to me if I had my Celestial Realm!"

"Well now you don't tinker bell!"

Providence gotten mad at me, I could tell from the frustrated look in her eyes. Turning around she flew straight into the forest outside of the village.

"Whatever, I don't wanna see you in my sight for a while!"

"Oh yeah? Well go ahead, leave! I don't need you!"

Soon as I said that, it was as if life hated me...

PART 3

*Snarling* in the forest was a massive creature, it stomped its way outside from the forest and headed straight into the village me and providence was in...

"Uhhhh, hey Providence, I know we had an argument a minute ago but I may need your help here..."

The creature stood Fifty meters tall on its height, I felt like it could just blow on me, and sweep me away into the wind.

"What is... this thing?"

Holding onto Dàinsleif tightly, I used my other hand and held it out, I didn't know what I was doing but it was as if something was controlling me...?

"Woahhh? Hey, hey hey what the hell?!"

From my spot in the middle of the abandoned village, my hand started to glow in a fiery haze.

"Seth why the heck were you screaming so loud? Huh?"

Providence noticed my hand ignited in some hazy fire, and her eyes trailing up to see the large creature in front of us. Three heads of an Snake was attached to it, the body of a lion, feet of an Eagle, and the snarling of a wolf.

"I've never seen a demon lurking here, in the devil zone that huge before..."

I whispered underneath my voice, still looking at my hand which was controlled by a mysterious force.

"Child of Mortality, watch your guard. It isn't only one Demon, but dozens of them surrounding us. They're all the same size..."

"What!!?"

Turning around I could feel footsteps driving closer, only believing it was the footsteps from the demon in front of me.

From all around, me and providence were surrounded.

"Damnit damnit, damnit, damnit, damnit! We're all surrounded... we've walked right into their traps, I should've known!"
