Chapter 50: The Heroes Last Stand Pt1

There isn't any part one for this chapter, it's just straight up blood and gore! Battling till our last breaths! This was the final battle to decide the fate of this world and to keep the balance we all know and love.

"Huuuuuuuaa— Errraaaaa!!!!"

I yelled with Akira and Haruo, we lunged at Buddha from below on the floating debris, holding our weapons in our hand, we traveled faster than ever before in the Wheel-Space.

"I won't let you destroy everything!!!"

A fierce yell of rage and terror filled my bones with adrenaline, Akira managed to teleport and appear right in front of Buddha via Arc, as Haruo extended his palm forward.

"The Ultimate Abyss!"

A black vortex swirled right underneath Buddha before drums were heard, eerie drums that signified the slumber of Azathoth, and they all came forth from the portal, grotesque creatures known as the Outergods began to circle around Buddha up above.

"Cala, let's do this!"

Interacting with my Origin Cala in the Unraveled World, she would be flying next to me.

"Link!"

I could now see her flying beside my shoulder after linking myself here. Looking up as we flew towards Buddha, I noticed he didn't have a Amalgamation…?

"Cala, I need a little information here, is there something you can at least tell me on why he has no amalgamation?"

Akira who teleported right in front of Buddha had slashed his blade of annihilation, causing rippling effects to travel across the entirety of Wheel-Space. It's power seemed unmatched, as Haruo's summoning of Outergods seemed to be doing something I wasn't fond of—

"Usually there's reasons for one to not have Amalgamations, but the most known reason of them all is because of Avatars. An avatar doesn't have a desire, only the original creator does, the same can go for clones as well."

It seemed that made the most of sense out of everything else…

"I see, so this guy isn't even the real Buddha but a clone—"

From up above I could see Akira get slapped into the face from some unknown force, sending him flying downwards and pass me and Haruo.

"Tsk… this damn bastard! Too bad for you, I managed to pull it off… great job Akira!"

I didn't even notice what they were talking about, but I assumed they formed a plan?

"Now, play the music of Eternal Sleep!!!"

Buddha looked around him, he was surrounded by grotesque outergods, they all began to beat on their drums, some held onto their flutes to play a distorted music—

"Cover your ears—"

I was the one asking Haruo to do it, but he looked back at me raising a brow, as Akira would float back up in between us.

"There's no need to cover the ears, heroes are unaffected by the music of Eternal sleep, the outergods play."

Haruo looked up to see Buddha who had been quiet for some time now, his head hanging low—

"Is it managing to work? Once you hear the music, you're forced to sleep, and dream of your dreamworld for all eternity, forcing the enemy into submission on wanting to stay in their peaceful, or horrendous world."

Haruo looked back at me.

"….I see, but… I don't think it worked…."

I would grit my teeth as I looked into the sky, facing Buddha who had awoken from his slumber, placing his palms into one another.

"You're kidding me…?"

Akira looked up to see Buddha perform the same attack that sent him flying, however on a much grander scale—

"Everyone be on guard!"

Akira would hold his annihilation sword, gripping it with both hands…

"नए सिरे से पार!"

Buddha spoke in a language I wasn't fond of, unable to understand what was being said, but the actions he had done soon after were more than enough for me to get a grasp on what was coming—

Around Buddha were thousands upon thousands of arms extending from its back. The said arms would begin to fall down towards us like asteroids-

"Huh? HNGHH!!!"

*Slam* *Kaboom* *Crunch*

The sound of our bones broke, the exact attack released a barrage of punches at the three of us, forcing us all to suffer severe injuries soon as it connected into us, even killing off the rest of the Outergods in our vicinity—

"Gaaahh!!!"

One fist was enough to clobber me until another one met straight into my body, sending me straight through a piece of debris, and carrying my body downwards into the endless void of Wheel-Space, until—

"Shinigami…"

I couldn't stop myself from carrying downwards into the endless Wheel-Space… I was certain that I'll never reach the surface again… never again… but a voice…it said shinigami? That meant death after all… so I assumed I was about to meet death himself—

"Seth!"

Toshiro was in clear view, he had even moved through the fists that collided down into me a minute ago—

<>

Shinigami was a gift Toshiro recieved from his mother. Toshiro is the Shinigami himself. Through touch he is able to remove concepts themselves and send them to the inescapable realm of Yomi, essentially removing them from existence entirely and not just a simple "cut" or "hit" that can be healed from conventional means.

Once he has removes concepts, he himself cannot bring them back and as such this ability is solely focused on destruction and destructive power only.

Each time Toshiro uses this ability he loses a part of his sanity. Overusing this ability will cause him to go completely insane eventually, driving him into madness, which was a reason he had never done it… but in order to perform such a feat, you would need his Celestial Realm Yomi, wouldn't you…?

"Toshiro? You're back up and running—?"

Toshiro would grab my hand. Buddhas barrage of fists were suppose to hurt him, however he just sent the concept of the attacks into his realm, nullifying the damage. I could now see the Celestial World to the side of me… realizing it had been fixed?

"What the hell is… going on?"

Of course I was confused, the Celestial world was now back again, everything had been fixed… but then I realized—

Wait a minute... I… traveled… into the future?

"Toshiro, don't come any closer! Don't come any further down!!!"

The further I fell… the further I would be accelerating into the future… forever… until I eventually couldn't see anything else. Toshiro would stop following me now, a worried expression crossed his face— did he notice too?

"How long have I been out of the battle since time accelerated for me…? Minutes…? Hours…? Days…?"

Toshiro flew back up and yelled my name in worry, having no choice but to return to the top.

"Goddamnit… just what the fuck is this world? There's so much… so much to discover… and know about… it's so endless…"

I finally disappeared until everything else was pitch-black, I could see no more… I wonder what providence was doing…?

<>

"Where the Hell is Seth? Did you find him?"

Akira looked over at Toshiro, who's been gone for hours.

"I couldn't go any further… Akira…"

Akira raised his brow.

"What do you mean?"

Toshiro looked up into the sky, Buddha was still there… however—

"Hiiiiyaaaa!!!"

The voice was familiar, it was Katie! Since when did she return…? From Seth's point of view, he was gone only for mere moments, but for them it's been hours, and now everyone has returned.

"Seth told me not to come any further, and then I noticed it. Some entity was dragging him away… I couldn't stop him… I couldn't save him…"

Haruo and Katie held off Buddha in the sky, the Olympus princess grabbed Haruo's leg before swinging him around like a rag-doll, flinging him straight into Buddha!

"Damnit you are too fucking fast!"

Haruo shouted as he grabbed Dead-Edge in his hands, stabbing it right through Buddhas arm—

"Futile…"

The Deity simply spoke which was enough to completely vaporize Haruo into nothingness.

"Haruo!!!"

Katie shouted from below, seeing Haruo possibly die, but that was only for a moment—

"Agh… damn bastard…"

Haruo reformed his body back into existence and would have a black-portal open up from behind, being connected to the very Ultimate Void itself.

"Forget this, have you guys managed to find Seth yet?"

Haruo shouted from above and down Toshiro and Akira.

"No, Seth won't be joining us."

Akira replied with a simple answer.

"Huh? Did he finally kick the bucket?"

Toshiro would hold onto his primordial weapon.

"Whatever took Seth was something unknown. As I gotten closer towards the darkness down below, time began to accelerate rapidly for us, forcing us to time travel into the future…"

Toshiro looked up at Katie… wait…? Where was Katie?

"I'm coming Sethhhh!!!"

Katie was already accelerating herself downwards into the endless void of Wheel-Space—

"Katie, what are you doing? Are you insane?"

Katie was quite literally running on the vacuum of Wheel-Space, defying physics.

"Don't worry bout me, just handle Buddha and stop his annoying loud mouth. This time stuff doesn't bother me!"
