Chapter 61: Shiroi Merlin

PART 1

"Shiroi…? Who is—"

"You'll see soon, sit down and have a drink, maybe that'll soothe your mind."

…This woman.

"I don't want a drink, I would appreciate it if you answered my question."

Talking nice here was the best way to go. If I angered her, then who knew what will happen to me? Carter already proved that there were far stronger people than me as of now.

I couldn't risk getting into trouble, I was only using 0.5% of my power, I wasn't at maximum like I needed to be.

"Here, take some orange juice."

She reached underneath the bar table, pulling out a bottle of orange juice as she poured it into a wine glass in front of me.

"…"

I looked at it, wanting to just slap it away, but that was rude. I already shattered the bottle of alcohol across the wall a moment ago.

"I suppose I'll take the offer. Getting drunk in such a young body as I am now, will lead to regretful consequences down the road."

Taking the orange juice in front of me, I chugged it down my throat, all in nothing but a second.

Drinking it whole now, the entire cup was empty, slamming it back down onto the table.

But there was something else I noticed. When I used Maverick Eye, she had no sort of magic or abilities that could prove as a threat to me, thus—

"Now then, Counter Magic: [Sync]"

In that moment I had transferred the orange juice I drunk into Julianne's body… however directly landing it into her lungs, taking her by surprise.

"…Bnghhhh!!!"

The sound of her drowning was audible, orange juice leaked down her nose and she threw up most.

She as of now couldn't even breathe.

"You're drowning you know, it'll be wise to have someone perform CPR, but I'm not a master at it."

I smirked at her, raising my other arm.

"I could reverse causality once more and redo it all over again, if that's what you want. At that point your entire body will be flooded with orange juice… what a horrible way to go."

Charlotte was still over by the wall, picking up the glass shards and even drinking out of them from scooping the alcohol with the broken pieces.

"I hate to be declined when it's of importance Juliane, so do you now see what will happen if you don't obey to my will?"

Of course I was mad, upset at the fact they kidnapped me and won't bother to tell me anything.

This was starting to irritate me second by second…

"…BUACK!!"

She finally gotten all the orange juice out of her lungs, but in actuality I just snapped it away from manipulating causality.

"Looks like you're back, gonna speak now or do you want Soda this time around?"

She slammed her hands upon the bar table, wiping her nose as she panted heavily.

"I…I can't tell you… his… entire backstory, what do you want me to say…? That he's just the owner of this bar? W-Well… he is! Shiroi is the owner of the bar we're in! I work under him, and he gives me money!"

I chuckled at her and then clapped my hands.

"That's a first start Juliane, I'm proud of you. Now tell me, where is the man by the name Carter?"

"Juliane, are they under control?"

All the sudden a voice appeared… walking in from the door was a blue haired individual, showing a confused look on his face.

…Was this Shiroi?

PART 2

"I'm assuming you're Shiroi?"

Seeing him wouldn't be like I pictured. He had blue hair in a half mullet over his right shoulder and somewhat purple eyes. He wears a hair accessory on the left side with 8 bronze beads, endings in a ring with a tassel.

Shiroi wore a black long sleeved shirt, white ripped pants and black loafers.

He has a black double belt set and a green parka coat with black fur and the Fling Posse bronze star on the back.

"No, my names Carter."

"So I guess that answers my question, you're Shiroi…? Well I did expect you to look more like carter… with a set of armor, and—"

He closed his eyes and would sigh, turning to the right to face Juliane, and seeing a mess on the table.

"Juliane what the hell?"

He shrugged out his arms in disbelief at the messy sight…

"We aren't gonna get business with something like this, are you tryna make a pain outta me? Cmon seriously?"

Was this Shiroi guy even talking this whole kidnapping seriously? I mean he even left the door open over there…

"I'm sorry Shiroi, it's just that, I was taken back by surprise and— Hey where's he going?"

I grabbed Charlottes hand quickly and dragged her along with me, now we both ran for the door, my speed was slow… but I hoped I could manage it.

Damnit damnit damnit! Too much adrenaline pumped through my body right now, I was so close to the exit.

I heard Juliane call me out, exposing me to shiroi! I didn't know what he was capable of, but I wouldn't let him ruin the escape!

"Soul Magic: [Astral Legion]"

I done it! Casting soul magic would separate me and Charlottes soul from our physical bodies and now allowing us to go straight through the walls of the Bar.

"We're out— Huh…?"

Once I noticed our escape to the outside, I looked at the exit of the door and seen… some fiery energy? It was hard to explain, but it was meant to stop us.

"What is that… enormous energy…? Just looking at it makes me feel… dizzy…"

I only stared at the energy, and now even in my spiritual form, I fell unconscious… but Charlotte luckily caught me in her arms.

"Lord Mammon, *hiccup* they are niceeee peeople, we should head back…"

She hugged me in her arms making sure I was okay, but… I just felt extremely dizzy. Everything looked disoriented and even my perception on time seemed off.

"It feels like… I just stared into an blackhole. I couldn't comprehend that energies existence, it's weird… almost as if it was from another world."

PART 3

As beads of sweat trailed down my forehead, I would sigh and face over to the door again, noticing the energy was gone.

"Just what was that?"

"It's Zero Energy."

I could hear someone suddenly in front of us… looks like we were too late to escape.

"Don't worry about it, I tried to keep you two from escaping, but you managed to trick me. Gotta hand it to yah, you know how to escape better than my son did years ago when he snuck out."

Inside of his hands I noticed him holding our literal physical bodies, waving them around like junk.

"H-Hey… *hiccup* that's my body, give it here!"

Charlotte suddenly leapt right into her physical self, fusing with her body once more.

I done the same, but it pained me to admit defeat…

"I suppose escaping is not possible as I am now."

Saying this, Shiroi walked back to the door of the bar, going inside.

We followed him, but I crossed my arms, turning to the side in shame.

"Let's get this over with. This whole kidnapping business better be worth my time."

As we made our way inside, Charlotte and I held hands to stay closer to one another, making our way over to an empty table as were the others.

We sat next to each other whilst staring at Shiroi who sat at the end of the table, tapping his fingers a few times.

"Soooo, I know this whole entire situation is pretty confusing—"

"Is it that obvious!"

I responded back to him in an sarcastic tone.

"But I don't care!"

…This guy.

"I was said to just have this whole entire meeting situated at my damn bar. Carter just wants to ruin my business with his problems!"

Charlotte laughed to herself.

"Ahaahahaha! Why would he wanna ruin this business? Their drinks are like… top tier!"

Seeing Charlotte drunk made me want to slam my head into a locker with nails.

She seemed so clueless a lot of the times and clumsy… but she's the one who made the weapons for Mazomu Kingdom, and is the most intelligent in magic.

Her magic far outclasses mine in terms of quantity.

She has access to countless magical types, while I only have over ten.

But my magic in terms of strength did outclass hers.

It was a matter of quality over quantity here.

"Thanks I'm glad you like it Charlotte, Juliane must've made it special just for you. Maybe because you're the only one not causing problems unlike Lightstar."

I had sweat leak down my forehead, turning to the side in a bit of shame.

"It was… well… natural to think of escaping from a place you never seen. For all I know the drink could've brainwashed Charlotte and had her fall into your hands."

Bluey would look at me with an lazy eye.

"Reallllyyyy? I've tamed a celestial dragon, fought Trillions of Rogue Amalgamations nonstop for five weeks straight, and even built our armies weapons! You think I… *hiccup* the great Charlotte will fall for a silly poison trick?"

Her breath stunk… I turned away for a moment and sighed.

"I-I guess you're right Charlotte, my bad I underestimated you again."

Shiroi cluelessly blinked over at us.

"It's like I'm watching a damn Loony tunes- nah, a loony tunes would be Diane."

He scoffed to himself, getting up from his seat, stretching his arms above his head.

"I'll leave you two love birds alone for a while, in the meantime talk about something else other than trying to escape. Carter should be here soon, anyways I'm off to bed…"

"WHATTT???" (Both)

"YOU ARE SLEEPING?"

Charlotte yelled at him, slamming her palm onto the desk.

"AFTER KIDNAPPING US?"

I done the same in sync, both our frustration showing.

"Yeah, you'll be aight. Goodnightttt!"

All the sudden he opened a portal in front of him and backed up some… as if it was an accident?

"Whoops that's Gabriel's house. Anyways bye!"

Opening another, he made his way through it, closing both portals.

"Damnit…"
