Miscommunication

"Why didn't you tell me the pancakes were that bad?, How could you let me serve something like that." Dionne scolded Sandy.

"I-I tried telling you but you said the chef is always right." Sand stuttered with a shaky voice.

"And why are you getting scared?, are you scared of me?" Dionne lowered her voice as she looked at Sandy in disbelief. They were talking normally a while ago, and now it seems as if she is bullying her.

"No, sorry." Sandy lifted her head and when Dionne saw her watery eyes she gave up.

"You're so weak." Dionne complained passing her a serviette.

"Thank you" Sandy sniffed.

"Anyway, if any call comes for me, let me know right away." Dionne said and after sandy nodded, she left.

Sandy looked around the kitchen immediately and regained her composure. How was she going to clean all this mess Dionne created in the name of cooking?. She decided to never stay in the kitchen whenever Dionne is present.

Dionne finally got some rest after the hectic morning. She soaked herself in a perfumed bath, did some skincare routines, got dressed, and is now lying down while reading a book. Reading books weren't really her thing, but Lucas had confiscated her phone, leaving her with nothing else to pass time.

"Come in." Dionne said when a knock sounded.

"Someone is looking for you on the phone." Sandy said before handing her phone to Dionne. Since Dionne had no phone, she has been using Sandy's for communication with the outside world.

"Are you done making it?" Dionne whispered as she gave suspicious glances to Sandy.

"Yeah. The thing is...I don't have an address."

"Oh boy." Dionne mentally face palmed her self. While coming up with all these plans, she forgot to give him an address. She didn't even know the address herself, not that she could leave anyway.

"I'll call you back." Dionne said before abruptly cutting the call.

"Sandy?" Dionne called out softly.

"Huh?"

"Can you do me a favor pretty please, you can't refuse." Dionne continued with the same tone.

"If you put it that way...what do you want?" Sandy chuckled nervously. For some reason, she was getting a bad feeling.

"When you arrive at the market, you call this number okay?. Someone else would go pick it up." Dionne told Mr mask on the phone.

"That's too bad. I thought I'd see you, even for a little while." Dionne blushed a little when she heard what he said.

"I know you're missing me already."

"I'm not" Mr mask denied.

"Don't be shy, I miss you too." Dionne chuckled when she heard the shakiness in his voice. She found it cute.

"Think what ever you want. I'll be there in thirty minutes, tell the person coming to get the muffins to hurry." He said and Dionne nodded.

"Bye, talk to you some other time." Dionne said.

"Bye."

"Are you guys done talking?" Sandy asked when she heard them saying their goodbyes.

"Yup. You need to head to the market, he's waiting for you there."

"Are you sure this won't get me in trouble?" Sandy asked causing Dionne to sigh.

"You are going to the market, no one will draw suspicion from that. If anyone asks, you can say you went to the market to get the ingredients for the muffins. Besides Lucas won't be back anytime soon." Dionne convinced.

"Alright then. I'll be back." Sandy aid before leaving the room.

Dionne smiled triumphantly. If Mr mask makes the muffins, there's no way the muffins wouldn't be delicious. There'll be nothing for Lucas to pick on. She still remembered the taste of the pancakes. It tasted like flour and water with raw egg and lots and lots of butter. The powdery texture of the flour was very evident, just thinking about it makes her want to throw up.

~~~
Sandy has been standing under the hot sun waiting for the person Dionne said would call her. She was getting agitated and was sweating profusely. She couldn't just go back, so she decided to wait a little more while using her hand to cool herself.
Meanwhile, Mr mask was facing the same fate. He was waiting in his car for long, expecting the call from the person Dionne said would pick the muffins. Anytime he tried calling, it'd say the number isn't available. He was getting frustrated, but since it was all for Dionne, he put up with it.
Sandy decided to call first. She turned on her phone and tried calling only to see that her phone was in airplane mode.
"He must have been calling." She muttered worriedly as she turned off the airplane mode.
"Hello..." She trailed nervously.
"Are you the one Dionne sent." Mr mask asked, he tried to hide the annoyance in his voice.
"Yes. I'm sorry, I didn't know my phone was in airplane mode." She quickly explained.
"It's alright. Where are you now?, Heat isn't good for the muffins."
"I'm at sublime market. I'm waiting in front of the junction close to the overhead tank." Sandy explained.
"Shit!" Mr mask cussed. They were at different markets. Greenville had only two major markets as it was a small town. The sublime market was specially created in a place where mostly the rich dwells.
"I'm at the Greenville local market."
"Oh. That's like an hour drive to where I am." Sandy muttered.
"Yeah." Mr mask sighed. "Can you wait an hour more, I'll be right there."
"Sure." Sandy answered. She looked towards the sky and shut her eyes immediately due to the sun. 'Another hour of waiting under the sun?' She thought to herself almost in tears.
"I'm at the entrance of the market. Can you come there?" Mr mask said to Sandy on the phone. He got there in 42 minutes due to his speed of his driving.
"No problem." Sandy sighed in relief. He actually came sooner than expected. She reached the entrance of the market and saw a man leaning on a car with a mask and cap on his hand. His hair was damp from sweat and a few strands came to settle at the front. His long slim legs were crossed as he typed something on his phone.
Sandy was immersed in looking at the Adonis reincarnate in front of her that she didn't hear her phone ringing. She jolted when someone bumped into her and immediately came to her senses.
"Hello," Sandy said and her eyes widened in shock when she saw the man in front of her was the one calling her.
"Are you close by" he asked and Sandy kept mute on the other line.
"Hello...hello." Mr mask called out again and his eyes went to the lady standing not so far from him with her phone placed on her ear. He walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulders.
"Are you the one Dionne sent?" He asked.
'Even his voice sounds so wonderful' Sandy smiled sheepishly.
"Yes, yes." She cleared her throat immediately looking at anywhere but those deep blue eyes of his.
Due to how hot the weather was, Mr mask had removed his mask and cap as it was getting hard to breathe. He forgot to put it on and when he saw the look on the girl's face, that was when realization hit him. He wasn't wearing any mask. What if she explains his features to Dionne?.
