Daniel and I are in the Hamptons in upstate NY, we rented our own little bed and breakfast, not too fancy but quaint and comfortable; we are out of our element and wanted to be discrete and private, our mating party with the supernatural council is tonight and we showed up a few days before so we could shop and site see, plus scope the party place.

Good thing about being Fae is you can pop in and out when you want, wherever you want as long as you have been there before, Daniel says he loves his new abilities, "I can ravish you till the sun comes out and then "poof" he says with air quotes, "Im in my office for a meeting" he said and I just laughed.

Getting ready for the ball I slipped into a silver A-Line Off-the-Shoulder Asymmetrical Chiffon Cocktail Dress with Beading and a floral garland headband to keep my hair back and got some black satin heels, leaving my shoulders bare and looked up to Daniel whistling his appreciation.

"Damn… you are beautiful" he said coming over and I smiled turning towards him as I place my palms over his chest, taking in his form, "very handsome yourself love" I said dusting off invisible lint; he was wearing a slim dark grey suit and matching tie, with a black undershirt and shoes.

I kissed his lips, "are we ready?" I asked, "as ready we will ever be," he replied, we were going to show face and play dumb, too enraptured in each other and our new mating that a trip home never even occurred to us, then Alpha Derek showed up and thought best we wait till after the celebration.

Popping up about a block down from the party, we casually stroll along the sidewalk, our practiced route that we familiarized from scoping the place out, "Lovely evening" I said casually and he nodded "yes, quite" he said cordially and I giggled easing the mood as came up on the gate, cars were filing in, "there are so many people" I said shocked, grabbing Daniels arm.

Daniel half smiled, "yes love, we stick together and we will be fine, just be your charming self and I know everyone will love you" he said assuredly, patting my hand and I smiled, loving his administration; we walked up to the gate, sliding past the incoming car, which the guards were not expecting, "hey!" they exclaimed as we cleared the gate.

"you can't just go in there, do you have an invitation?" he demanded and Daniel and I looked at each other, we were not given any invitation and Daniel turned to the guard, "I believe there may have been a mix up" he said "my name…" he started and the gentleman interrupted "I don't care if your Gandhi you can't come in without the invitation" he said trying to usher us out.

I was flabbergasted "but this is our party!" I exclaimed and he had the audacity "that's what they all say" he said and my wolf saw red, I started growling and the male paled backing away; realizing how close I was to shifting, Daniel took control, "CALM My love" he growled, reining in my wolf and looked to the man.

"if you could call up for Alpha Derek, he will vouch for us, I'm Alpha Daniel and we will wait with you at the gate" he said gently, pulling me to his side and kissing my neck, coming behind me and wrapping his arms around my wait, ushering us to the gate.

"your so sexy when you growl" he whispered in my ear and I laughed, my anger dissipating, "is there ever a time I'm not sexy" I teased and he shook his head smiling as the guard went into the shack, picking up the phone and calling whoever they need for Alpha Derek; it didn't take long before the guard came out a little white, "forgive me Alpha for my rudeness, your free to pass" he said.

The gentleman that he is, "you're doing a great job, I'll make sure to pass that on" Daniel said as he clapped his back and the young male seemed very grateful, "thank you sir" he said and I sniffed, squinting my nose a little, Im not sure what he is and there are all sorts of supernatural beings I still don't know with my new sense of smell.

Daniel turned towards me and I clasped his left elbow with my hands, escorting me as we continued our stroll up to the party, "he smelled different" I whispered and Daniel smirked, "vampire" he said into my ear and I made an "o" face, about halfway up the driveway we spot Alpha Derek, "Alpha Daniel" he said walking up "Im sorry about that" he grimaced.

Smirking, "I was almost snubbed at my own party" I said only half kidding, but he took it in stride "oh to miss your lovely face… never" he said kissing my hand and twirling me around, "promise me a dance later" he asked all hurt feeling gone.

I laughed at his antics, peeking over at Daniel with a glower on his face as he pulled away from me, "we shall see" I said putting my hair back in place," yes… we shall see" Daniel growled possessively as he gently pulled me back to his side, I leaned back smiling and I see his smoky midnight eyes, kissing Daniel's cheek "easy tiger…" I said waiting for the change.

He leaned into the kiss, easing Daniel's wolf and Alpha Derek interrupted, "well… shall we" he said and Daniel's bright blue eyes were staring back at me, "yes...we shall" he said and we started walking, smiles on our face.

Alpha Derek laughed, "your love for each other is very captivating" he said and that warmed me, "my love captivates me" I said honestly with a smile and Daniel blushed a little, only making Alpha Derek laugh more.

We came up to a big stone mansion and three large pillars encase the entrance at least 30 feet "wow…" I said taking in the entrance and there is a roundabout turn at the end of the driveway, valets taking their vehicles for parking somewhere else on the property I assume.

We walked up three stone steps "this way my lady" Derek said cordially as he opened the door and allowing me to go first with Daniel following behind and I walked into an elaborate foyer with ceilings so high a latter alone couldn't touch and I gasped loudly.

Elaborate landscaped portraits aligned all over the walls depicting the Fae forest with Fae creatures hiding among the trees, "Oh!" I exclaimed in wonder, little twinkling lights dangling at different lengths everywhere and my hands cover my mouth as tears sprang in my eyes, "its so beautiful" I said in awe, spinning around in circles.

It was so much like home and all the handcrafted artwork aligning the walls must have taken hours, "do you like it" Alpha Derek asked and I looked at him shocked, "you did this?" I asked unbelieving and Alpha Derek chuckled, "I wish I could take credit" he said in appreciation, but when I made the suggestion to enact a Fae theme, our Sentinel Being facility ran with it, especially when they heard who had met their soulmate" he said looking at me with a warm smile.

I have many friends in the Sentinel Being facility, some I knew before my transition "I can't believe they did all this for us" I said to no one and Daniel came over and embraced me, whispering words only we can hear, "it is a magnificent display for sure my love…" he said kissing my forehead and I smiled, "I love it" I said taking Daniels hand and heading into the ballroom.
