Confrontation III

Now that Ted had made mention of yesterday, Elma allowed herself to sink into the well of solitude. It was odd, she thought, that she had slept soundly after all. With how frightened she'd been throughout the hours at the office up until when Riccardo had driven her home, she feared that the nightmares would stay to torment her for all she had to experience back at that place. More so with pictures, and images of the After shoot. Come to think of it, she'd been too tired after the little show that followed Riccardo's visit; so tired that all she knew to do was drop in her bed and sleep once she was upstairs. Could her tiredness have been the reason for the zero nightmares? Or had Riccardo's visit calmed her much more than she knew it could have? Was that also his reason for accompanying her inside? Was he interested in helping her feel better?

"Hello…" Ted said, snapping his fingers before her face. "Elma."

"Uh… yeah?" Elma answered a bit still in the clouds.
