Arc 3 The Terror Of Infinity Chapter 59 Food

Pov mc first person

Sensing my distress, Paarthadox appeared in my realm.

" What happened?" He asked, concerned something happened.

" Another dream." I answered, as i tried to regain my sanity, to the point of speaking, without malicious intent.

" What happened in the dream." He asked.

" This thing known as trickster was looking for me. Torturing the girl, to find my whereabouts."

" This trickster guy, how does he look like?"

" It's hard to describe. He was changing his form every second. But one he always went back to, was a jester costume. But the costume was part of his body. He had freaky black red eyes, way to big for his head. From time to time, eyes would appear on his body. He had a classic jester hat, but it was part of his head. Kinda like horns. His costume was red and white and at some parts green. He had the normal proportions of human limbs, but it changed from time to time. He was giant like. Very long, but slim. But even his hight changed from time to time. But the freakiest part was his mouth. Inside it, was thousands of teeth and eyes, staring into my soul. Like they knew i was watching. All the teeth had different shapes, but all were sharp." I said, describing Trickster.

My description made Paarthadox go silent, until i saw a scared look in his eyes.

" Ragnar, please listen to me. Never and i mean never enter chaos again. Not now not later, you are not safe. If what you are describing is what i think it is, we will need help. But for now, continue with your life, you are not ready."

Hearing his reaction, really dampened my mood, even more. He's telling me to never enter chaos again. That by itself is hearsay. But with nothing else to do, i decided to start a new experience. Or another way to entertain myself. Let's make an elf my apostle and see how far she can come. Maybe she will even become a goddess in the future. With my new entertainment in mind, i blessed the unsuspecting girl.

In a land far far away. Billions of light years away from Ragnar's main religion. Was a humble village, surrounded by a lush forest. The birds whistled happily, mocking the animals on ground. Trying to get a easy lunch. The loud hiss of a Ravenfox, echoed through the area. The circle of life, was once more moving.

Up in the tree tops, a young elf, no older than 52, was watching the Ravenfox, with hawk like eyes. In her hand was a drawn bow, with an arrow in it. Her eyes focused on the Ravenfox, as she concentrated. She breathed steadily, trying to calm her nerves. Her arms were shaking and she tried to regain their stillness.

After a while, the Ravenfox started to move again. Seeing this as her last opportunity, the girl took the shot. The arrow wailed in despair, as it flew towards the Ravenfox, announcing it's presence. But it was to late, for the Ravenfox, as the arrow already hit it, when it reacted.

The last second, the Ravenfox had turned it's head towards the sound. Making the arrows pierce in the middle of it's head, right between it's eyes. The Ravenfox didn't even get the time to react, before it was dead.

" Yes, i got it. Moms going to be so proud!" The girl said, as she jumped in joy, knowing she just got them dinner.

She jumped down from the tree, flawlessly landing. At her actions, the birds around her, flew away. Laughing in pure joy, she lifted the Ravenfox. She struggled to lift the little guy, as she was even smaller. Frustrated with her situation, she started to drag the Ravenfox, with a broken pride. She was pouting, as she walked home, through the dangerous forest. Thankfully she knew her way around, as she had lived here, all her life.

She was sweating, as the rays from the sun, hit her through the leaves. All the girl could think of was drinking some water and being praised by her mother, when she get home.

Time passed by quickly and night slowly arrived. The girl was nearly home, but had to stop. She was covered in sweat and tired. Her small, frail body, couldn't handle the stress of hours of work. She was hasping for air, preparing to move again. She didn't want to scare her mother. By being gone for so long. So she wanted to get home as quick as possible.

But time, was the least of her worries. Around her, was a pack of wolves lurking. Slowly circling her, covering her escape. The girl was unaware of her circumstance and continued to breath desperately. Her rest would soon turn into a jog. The wolves closed in, hungry for elf meat.

The bushes rustled, alerting the little elf.

" Hello, anyone there?" She yelled, silently.

But she got no response. Fear crept into the girl, as she started to panic. She grabbed her Ravenfox and started to run, as fast as she could. Which wasn't fast, considering she was dragging something, twice her size. Sadly, her hunters weren't going to let her fo. They were hungry after all. What was a peaceful journey home, had evolved into a fight for survival. But no matter how dire the situation was. She didn't want to drop that ravenfox. Her family needed the food and it was her first successful hunt, by herself. She wanted to get home, be praised by her parent and have a delicious dinner. But that reality looked less likely, by the second.

Howls, of the wolves, brought the girl back to reality. She knew how bad her situation was, but what was she to do. She could not out run them, or return to the village in time. She knew this was the end. She would die today. Her mother and father would cry, when they noticed their daughter never returned.

Tears feel from the girls eyes, hitting the ground. As the wolves were closing in. She just wanted to be with her parents. Where are they, she thought, as she cried. She was to young to die. Why aren't they here. Why did i want to hunt alone! Why did i throw a tantrum at mom and dad, when they said no. I should have just been happy they cared. Why did i act like a big girl, I'm not a big girl. She cried to herself, as the wolves became visible.

The first wolf, that became visible, jumped at the girl and Tackled her, making her fall down. She hit the ground, leaving a mark, of her face, on the ground. Tears escaped her eyes, from the pain of falling. Another wolf took action and grabbed her by the neck. Shaking her back and forth, trying to kill her. But it only managed to grant her pain. Her tears wet the ground, as she cried from the pain. The self hating thoughts stopped, as she longer could gather the strength to think. Her energy was quickly leaving her body, as she lost blood.

The wolf bit down again, but broke it's teeth. An invisible barrier was protecting her body. Water crept around her body, healing her wounds. The girl started to float and the full body sized barrier came into view. Water started to leave the barrier forming weird dots around it. The wolves got confused, what just happened to their food. That question would never be answered. Several water bullets pierced the wolves, killing them instantly.

Left behind, was hundreds of holes in the trees. As the unconscious girl floated in the air, protected by a water barrier, strong enough to take the attack of a god.

Several hours later

" Elin, where are you?" Screamed a middle aged women. She was thinly clothed, in wolf pelt. With her were other people like her. Their weird pointy ears, stuck out of their heads, telling you their race. Some of the males walking with her, screaming Elin, hade bows with them. While the women had a knife in an holster on her leg and a axe strapped to her back. She was desperately searching for her child, screaming her name, as loud as she could. Not afraid anything would attack them.

" Elin." A man yelled, next to the women. He had a serious face. A giant sword was stationed on his back. The blade was oozing killing intent, informing you of the mans current emotions.

They stumbled onto a tree with a bunch of holes and followed the trail. They followed the trail of holes and found the girl in question. Floating in the air, with a giant bubble of water, protecting her.

The two people, desperately searching, rushed towards the girl, but they were stopped.

" Stop, that water barrier will kill you. Let's just wait till she wakes up." An old looking elf said, as he felt the power from that bubble. He had heard legends about a goddess that bless both humans and elves, even dwarves. Maybe it was her, that saved the girl. The old man thought, as he observed the barrier.

Jours once more passed, as the girl woke up. Her way of waking up, was by having a panic attack.

" Calm down." the old elf said, as he was the only one still awake. But the sound of him talking with her. Woke the rest up.

" Shes up." Said a busty elf, as she ran to the girl.

" Mom." The girl said, as she tried to run to her, only to find out shes stuck. She started to panic again. She wanted to talk to her mother, to hug her. To forget what happened, but she couldn't leave.

" Calm yourself girl. You have been blessed in some way, try to find out who." The old elf said, as he was thinking about something, deeply.

The girl, confused by what he said. Just followed his command and she naturally found out

# You are the third apostle of Ragnar. Ancient god of water and the leader of the justice factions.#

# You are critically injured, creating a shield, with the permission of the god.#

# You have gained the power of water and your personality has changed slightly, towards justice.#

# You have entered a barrier. You can dispel it by saying dispel, at any time.#

She read the information out loud, making the elder freeze. He knew not much of the god, as his tribe was insignificant, but he knew enough. Ragnar, the most powerful god, in the justice faction. Strong enough to keep the holy and evil faction at bay. Xelena was once at war with him, but lost tremendously and was punished. He was the strongest god of water and ruled with an iron fist. If Elin was his apostle, that meant things would change. The elves that were a holy race of Xelena, might become a holy race of Ragnar too. The old man thought.

Unaware of the elders thoughts. Elin dispelled the barrier, reconnecting to the world again. Her parents hugged her and lifted her.

" Let's go home Elin." Her mother said, as she cried tears of happiness, to finally have her daughter back.

" No mom wait. I caught a Ravenfox, before, can we get it, please? It's her, somewhere." She said, making puppy eyes, begging her mother. Of course the mother couldn't resist and accepted her request.

After they got the ravenfox, they started walking back to the home. Even if Elin was still terrified, she felt safe. Not because her mother, or the other's, but because of the god. She could feel him watching her, protecting her from any danger. A warm feeling filled her heart, giving Ragnar the image of an older brother, In her heart.
