Arc 3 Chapter 60 Trouble In Paradise

Pov third apostle third person

" Be back before nightfall." said a concerned mother.

" Yes mom, I'm only playing with my friends." The little girl yelled, to her mother. The sound of the door closing, brought the mother back to reality. All she could think of, was that day, 15 years ago. Ever since then, her child has been different. She says she's playing with her friends. But there is no other elf child, in the village. At first she was worried, so she followed her one day. But she found her daughter, standing at the place, they had found her. Many years ago.

The girl stood there for minutes, waiting for something. But then out of nowhere she started talking to herself. Laughing, like something funny happened. She started to create water balls. Water arrows and even water swords. While talking to someone invisible. This worried the mother even further, so she talked to the elder about it. He said it was just a phase, but she didn't believe him. But her options were limited. What kind of monster would stop their daughter, when she was having so much fun. After many years, she simply stopped thinking about it and let her daughter do what she wished.

A girl, no longer than 1.3 meters, ran out of the village. On her way she greeted the neighbors. The farmer, the blacksmith and even her dad, working on rebuilding a fence. Broken some days ago, when some monsters attacked. Thankfully only the farm animals were affected, as the others lived in tree houses, high up in the air. Far away from the reach of the monsters.

Today was another sunny day, something the girl was happy about. She loved the rain too, but nothing could go wrong, when the rays of the sun hit you. The little girls happy smile, warmed the hearts of the villages. Making them long for children, of their own.

Her curly long, blond hair fluttered in the wind, as she ran. Strings of blue, could be seen on her hair. Informing you of her worship. Despite almost only being 70 years old. She had still amassed quite the size, on her boobs. She was thinly clothed, like the rest of her kind. Making her more nimble, in the forest.

Today she was going to hunt. Despite the lack of weapons, she could still fight. Over the last fifteen years, she has been honing her water manipulation, with her friends. They had taught her everything she know. Fifteen years ago, they comforted her, in her hardest times. They taught her water magic and told her they were Ragnar's spirits, sent to help her. Since then, she has been happy. They were like her. They were children too, giving her friend, of her age. Something she never had.

Today, they were playing a game. She was to hunt a animal, or monster and surprise her mother with it. She hadn't hunted anything, since the incident. So she was nervous, but she knew her friends had her back. So she didn't worry.

As she got deeper and deeper into the forest, it started to open up. Showing a environment, out of a fantasy. A circle of trees, hid the pound in the middle of the opening. In the pound was a small water fall, being refilled by the pound. The water of the pound traveled up the water falls side, before flowing down from the water fall again. Keeping the water moving, endlessly. Next to the waterfall, was several blue lights. The little girl ran up to them and greeted them.

" Lapis, Elma, Diana, how you guys doing?" She said enthusiastically, ready to hunt. The three water spirits turned to her. The blue forms changed, becoming small women, floating in the air. Their blue hair and eyes, showed their servitude to water.

" ELIN." Lapis yelled, as she flew to hug her. Elin hugged back and laughed happily.

" You ready to hunt?" Elma asked, as she flew up close, circling around the girl. With a smile, just as happy as Elins.

" You bet i am, I can't wait to see mom's reaction when i get home. She will be so proud." She said, as she puffed out her chest, in a proud way. Earning the laughter of joy, from her friends.

After grouping up, they left the open area and reentered the forest. The wind had picked up, making Elins blond hair dance in the wind. Despite the wind, covering the smell of prey. She had other means to track. She had been taught how to search for water and feel it's warmth. Giving her the ability to find any living life form, with water in it. Of course she could also find undead. But she didn't know of their existence.

Not wanting to be in sight, Elin jumped up to the trees and traveled by jumping from tree to tree. This was good training for her, as it also strengthened her legs. The spirits with her, didn't do any parkour, they simply flew through the trees. Not acknowledge their existence.

After some minutes of jumping from tree to tree, they found a bear. It stood 6 meters tall, on all six legs. It was completely black, like the night. The bear was sleeping, as it waited for night, when it would hunt. But Elin didn't feel any mercy, for it's lack of self awareness and simply got ready to fire. Creating a bow of water, she strengthened the string, to the max density, that she could still stretch. Then she created an ice arrow, giant to her body portions. It was 1.5 meter long. She pulled the string, of the great bow and loaded the arrow. After stretching it, to the max of her capacity, she fired. A loud boom, woke the bear, but it was too late. The bear was pireced, but that wasn't the end, the arrow went right through, entering the ground. Creating a large hole, with no end in sight. The arrow was gone, buried somewhere in the hole. As for the bear, it was dead. It's head missing from it's corpse.

" Yaay." Elin celebrated, as she gave Lapis a high five.

Elin jumped down, from the tree. Landing next to her hole. Stunned, by her own achievement, she just looked at it for some seconds. But her child like brain, brought her back to reality. Remembering she was going to give her mother the bear, she questioned how she was going to carry it. But thankfully Diana came in clutch.

" Use your water magic, to carry the bear home. Don't worry, we will protect you, from the bad wolves." Diana said, as she made a scary face, trying to imitate the wolves. Earning a laugh from Elin. Deciding to follow her mentor and friends advice, she used her magic to lift the giant bear.

To Elins surprise, it was not heavy at all. She didn't feel a strain, from using the magic to carry it. This made her smile grow, even more.

The journey home was eventless. No big bad wolf, or any other monster, disturbed them. When Elin got home, the sun was about to go down. Proud of herself, to not break her promise, she knocked on her house door. Wanting her mother to open the door and see the bear. What played out in her mind, didn't happen as she thought. The door open and her mother screamed, seeing the headless body.

" Mommy look, i brought us dinner." Elin said, with a smile brighter than the sun. Proud that she brought dinner.

But her mother was scared, terrified even.

" How did you, why did you? Why did you enter the dangerous part of the forest and hunt a deathbear? It's a B rank monster, what if you got hurt? What if i lost you, again?" She said, tears falling from her eyes.

" But mum, my friends helped me. Even if i failed, they would beat the bad monster." Elin said, exited to talk about her friends.

" What friends? I have never seen your friends. I even saw you talking to yourself. Please Elin, I don't want to lose you. Snap back to reality. There are no other elves your age, in this village! You have been talking to yourself this whole time." She yelled, finally having enough. She couldn't take this anymore. Her child was doing dangerous things, with her imaginary friends. Any mother would have the same reactions. She told herself, as she was yelling at her child.

Tears fell from Elins eyes, as she jumped down from the tree. She ran, faster than she ever has. Sonic bombs, resounded through the forest. As she entered mach 15. The forest around her, got destroyed, as she ran with all her might. Her curly hair, was messed up, with branches and leafs, sticking out of it. As she was running, she hit different obstacles. Scratches appeared on her pretty face, but the pain didn't bother her. She was upset. Why? Why did her mother yell at her? She brought home dinner. She got the help of her friends. Why did she say they didn't exist, they were right there. Tears fell down her bloodied cheeks, as she questioned why her mother was mad. After some minutes she stopped. She was alone and hurt and she didn't know where she was. Memories of that night, made her hyperventilate. She was fear struck. As night started to fall. Illusions of monster, filled the forest. A bush became a wolf. A bird became a dragon. As she fell down, sitting on the ground, covering her ears, while closing her eyes. Swaying back and forth, singing a song her mother always singed, when she was younger.

Anger, sadness, self blame and fear. All these emotions filled her, as she covered in fear, of the night.

What's this, a man thought, as he walked through the dangerous forest. His four bear like paws, with dragon like claws, took one step at a time. The man sensed, water and a lot of it. He could also feel Ragnar's presence, making him want to explore this mystery. So he walked towards the feeling of pure water magic and stumbled upon a little girl. She was in a foster position, swaying back and forth, singing to herself. The man could feel Ragnar on that girl. Stronger than even the arch priest of the water city, in the holy empire. He knew instantly what she was, she was an apostle of Ragnar. His journey was complete, the man thought, as he approached the girl.

15 years ago, he was sent out on a mission. He was to find Ragnar's apostle. It was a mission given to him, by Ragnar himself. He was honored at that time and set out immediately. All those event led to today, when he finally found the apostle. All according to the strongest god. He thought to himself, as he crouched down. As good as he could, with four legs.

Noticing the sound, Elin looked up. Fear consumed her, as she screamed, afraid of the creature in front of her. No head, with a giant body, 8 meters tall. Eyes on his stomach and mouth. His arms were abnormally large and his teeth sharper than any beast she has seen. His giant legs, with sharp claws, threatening to tare her apart. It was only reasonable to fear the man. After all, he was part of the most superior race, on the level of dragons. They represent Ragnar, at every move. They are they definition of his justice.

The man smiled at her reaction and said.

" Hello little girl, i am Quagin, second born of Gorgargan. I am a missionary, sent by Ragnar, to help you little girl. I am no enemy. Now tell me, what do you need help with?" He of course said all his words, in the language of the spirits, as he knew she could understand it.

The girl looked into his kind eyes and said

" Please, i want to find mom. She was angry at me, so i ran away. I just want to go home." She said, crying at every word.

" Ok little girl, that's easy enough. Let's go." He said, as he offered his shoulder, for her to sit on
