Chapter 130 A Trip In Night

A women stood on a giant white building, observing the world below her. She had Cyan-blue eyes, light brown hair and a golden white toga on her. Her smile could fill even the most evil souls with love and affection. But today, she wasn't smiling! She saw her brothers and sisters and other family members get ripped apart by the enemy. That invaded them unannounced. Her once happy smile had morphed into a face of disgust. Her anger shock the very world.

She screamed words lost in the vacuum of time and jumped down. Like a meteor her body hit one of the many peak celestial. Smashing it to pieces. She grabbed the soul out of the body and ate it, making the other celestials fearful of might happen to them.

A lotus staff appeared in the women's hand, as flowers entangled the celestials around her. The flowers crushed their bodies and led their souls to the women. Like a glutton, she swallowed every single one of them. Just to make sure they would never come back.

The women swung the staff in a circle in the air, while chanting. At the same time flowers grew out of trillions of the celestial climbing the mountain. They screamed in pain, as their bodies were destroyed and their souls escorted to the women.

She smashed her lower tip off the staff on the ground and waves like water resulted from the ground. Throwing the celestials still alive of the mountain. Something prohibited them from flying. Like something was limiting their weak pathetic bodies and mind. It was a field defying a logic made by the amazing Hephaestus. It denied any being, that wasn't part of Olympus to fly in their territories. This made the celestials situation million times worse. But even so, they were still losing. Sure they also had millions, but for some reason, every celestial they killed, even if they ate their souls came back.

One sentence was even repeated so many times, that it wasn't washed with time. "For Valhalla!" They screamed.

The women clashed with the celestials for hours. Not a single scratch was given to the women under all that time. It just showed the difference between her and them. They were simply to weak to contest with her might.

As she was killing all the celestials, she was interrupted by something smashing her head against the mountain. The force behind the thing that attacked her, shock the very mountain, something she even failed to do. Her powers could only cause ripples in the mountain. Not make it shake.

A giant of molten rocks, with a giant sword in hand. Pressed the women agains the mountain and didn't let go. They seemed to be exchanging words, but they too were lost in time.

The giant of molten rocks let go of the women, letting her get out of the crack in the mountain. Her face was slightly disfigured and blood was flowing like tears, but the strange thing was, the blood was golden.

The giant lifted it's sword high above it's head and the women sat down. She already knew it was over, she accepted her fate. But even so, she was using all her powers to strengthen her friends, even in her last moment.

The sword fell down towards her, the very space of the realm distorted at the strength behind the swing. As it hit the women, she exploded like a watermelon, covering the ground in golden blood.

As his mission was done, the giant sat down and looked at the world below. He saw his brethren and his supposed enemies work together to subdue the innocent pantheon they invaded.

Millions of thoughts creeped in his head, but they all lead to one conclusion. One question stronger than any other. Why? Why were they doing this? He couldn't understand. They weren't absorbing the celestials or titans. They simply killed for the sake of it, yet no one questioned the words of their so called lord.

He grew tired of this and with a gust of courage he screamed at the top of his lungs. Ordering his servants to stop and retreat.

He glanced at the women he killed and sighted. He could already feel the world whitening after her death. He took a step of the mountain and fell like a rocket, hitting the ground below him, shacking everything around him. Celestials, gods and even titans all fell, from the impact.

With firm steps he walked out of the realm, an army of titans and giants followed him. Nit willing to stay any longer. In the middle of them leaving a man appeared in front of them. He looked at the molten giant with an enraged eye. His other eye was gone, leaving a bloody hole, which he hadn't bothered to cover yet. Words were exchanged between the two, until a fight broke out. But the fire giant won easily and pushed the one eyed man backed an left. Leaving them to fight their own war.

As the scene faded Ragnar asked.

" Why are you showing me all of this? Please Nyx, I know you can hear me!" But the only response he got, was to see the cave again.

Like every time before, Ragnar walked towards the cave and attempted to walk in. But this time something was different.

(Host has met the requirement to enter the cave of the eternal incarnation of night. Does host wish to enter?)

The system rang out in his ears, shocking him. He almost forgot he had a system and to be fair, it probably forgot about him. Having to deal with all his servants.

" Yes, I wish to enter system!"

Once he said yes, the black mist crept out of the cave at an even faster paste and surrounded him, before swallowing him. With it, Ragnar's world turned absolute dark. Even his sixth dimensional sight could not comprehend anything.

The darkness led him down a path he knew nothing off. But he did not fear, for even in a dream, the nightwater guided his soul.

Seconds turned to minutes and minutes to hours. He floated flew and walked through the dark, all to find the truth. It led him towards the truth, so he never gave up. He will never give up.

His sanity wasn't being tested, Nyx knew this, that is why she did all in her power to simply bring him to her. She knew of the trial he took. A trial all of their kind must take.

Finally after days, Ragnar felt a change. It was abysmal at first, but every second it grew, while the old slowly disappeared. It was a long process to get him used to the new place.

After one more day, he finally felt it come to an end. He was still in the dark, but he could see, he could feel. Within seconds Ragnar understood where he was and what that place was. It gave him shivers. The power behind a being, to be able to forcefully transport them, even inside a dream to such a place. He was in the true realm of the night. He was inside the incarnation of night. A realm belonging to a seventh dimensional being. His brethren. But why, why would he be here?

Ragnar took a step forward. He walked on the solidification of the night and it made him feel insignificant. He finally realized one thing. He wasn't some inevitable being, that could shatter everything on a whim. No, he only belonged to the race that could. The sun dinosaurs. He was only in it's realm, yet he felt fear beyond what he thought he'd ever feel.

What Ragnar didn't know was that his steps alerted the inhabitants of the true realm of the night.

A creature broke the surface of the solid night and with a splash it crawled out of it. Right next to Ragnar. He could feel it coming and took a step backwards to avoid it. He could feel tremendous power from it, one that surpassed his powers. This scared him even more. Just the things in this realm surpass his strength. How strong must the owner be.

The creature shock of some black liquid before looking Ragnar right in the eyes. Then it said.

" You do not belong here. Why have you entered Νύχτα?" A creature made out of darkness asked Ragnar.

" I'm only visiting, no need to mind me."

" Hmm, you smell like chaos, yet also like the night. Are you perhaps a sun vermin, unclaimed by lady Nyx. Are you here in hopes of her claiming you young vermin? Then give up, she will never claim her kind, if she doesn't do it the first time! Just go back to chaos where you belong, you're not wanted here, vermin." The creature said, angering Ragnar. But he kept slight low profile and didn't launch at the thing he now deemed as an enemy. Instead he took a deep breath before saying.

" I'm not here to be claimed as you call it! I'm here because Nyx has called it, but now that you're here. Please do explain, the more I know about my Demi kin, the better!" Ragnar said, while restlessly waiting to attack, or be attacked. The creature noticed this, but shrugged it's shoulders. It was common practice to defend oneself. Not to be frowned upon.

" Very well, Demi kin, as you called it. We vermin have three fates when born! One to be claimed by our parent. Two to die and three to get thrown into chaos and live our eternal soulless lives there. Now to me you seem to be the third case, but very well, tell me brother, how are you different?" The vermin said, laughing at Ragnar's foolishness.

" My name is Ragnar, I was born by Bjorne, sun dinosaur of light. My mother I do not know who she is, but I was born mortal and I've fought my way up here. I am a sun vermin yes! But I am also a sun dinosaur! I am superior to you and I rule chaos, I sit on the throne! The sun vermin serve my every whim, can you say the same, night vermin?" Ragnar said, attacking the vermin with words.

" Is that so? Ohh, I'm shivering, not! I can't be bothered with you! If the Νύχτα mother wants something from you, she will find you, if not. Have fun walking the realm of Νύχτα for all eternity, mortal! Hahaha." The vermin said, sinking into the night. Disappearing, never to show itself in front of Ragnar again.

Despite it's behavior, Ragnar was not mad. He learned many new things of his race. Now he just needed to find the night mother. It didn't take a genius to figure out that Νύχτα meant night. Ragnar understood that instantly, as he understood all languages. Accept from one, the language spoken in the seventh dimension. He had many problems comprehending it. Even with sun Ragnar's help.

Ragnar contemplated his new knowledge, while walking through the true realm of darkness, or Νύχτα as it's called. The darkness grabbed him at any moment of weakness but he never gave up. He saw many creatures of the night, creeping around, he even saw a nightwalker. That was a realization he didn't need. That meant Nyx assaulted the lower realms, using chaos. But how? It isn't possible is it. They became nightwalkers through being affected by chaos. So it shouldn't be possible right?

" You are correct, I didn't attack the dimension. But even nightwalkers are part of the night. So they are part of my realm Ragnar!" A soothing voice said.
