Chapter 133 Passing

" So, this is the Olympus I've heard so much about? Doesn't look that special!"

" Shut up, this place was made out of the bodies of several sixth dimensional beings the pantheon killed. It might not look like much now, but the only stronger realm out there is the nine realms of Yggdrasil and the true realms of the seventh dimensional beings." Hephaestus protested to Ragnar, infuriated by his disrespect.

" Sure, anyways, what are your plans to fix this place up, if I may ask?"

" Stuff, I'll take it slow and build my forces." Hephaestus said, while they were flying over the former capital of Greece.

" That's pathetic, but hey, I'll watch you for a while." Ragnar said, disappearing from the ship.

" What was that all about?" Hephaestus asked the Demigoddess.

" I don't know, I've heard rumors of his randomness. But I didn't think they were on this level!" She answered.

" Well who cares anyways, let's just fix this place." Hephaestus said, before lowering the ship to the ground. In the middle of their decent a bunch of harpies greeted them. They all saw the humans and oceans of droll was covering the ground. A fine meal, after so long. But their foolish hopes were put to an end, by their leader, who noticed Hephaestus in the ship.

The ship landed in several mud piles and the harpies around them fled. Not wanting to end up under the force of hundreds of thousands of ton.

The doors of the ship opened and Hephaestus walked out. But the humans stayed inside afraid of the creatures starring at them with malicious intent. It was only when Hephaestus let out his new gained divinity and subdued the creatures even more, that the humans dared to go outside. They swarmed the area, with no clue what to do next. Waiting for their leader to give them new directions.

The humans waited patiently, at least most of them. Some complained and demanded unreasonable things. But the harpies didn't react kindly to their words, so they simply ate all who complained. Even though Hephaestus ordered them not to. But he didn't seem to mind the dead weight of society dying.

Hephaestus came to a conclusion shortly after and the humans were allowed to stay within a 50 kilometers square space. At this the humans finally released the deep breath they were holding and got to work.

Hephaestus equipped them with buckets and shovels and they got to work. Under the span of a week, the humans dug up mud and dirt, cleaning the place. Trenches were dug on the border and houses out of mud combined with dirt like stone was formed into houses and dried. Creating somewhat up to par homes for about five thousand humans. There was still a long way to go.

Slowly put surely they developed a small city. The people were already shifting into different levels of status. The strong and those who adapted quickly, became the top figures. While those who knew how to be leaders controlled the people. As Hephaestus wasn't there.

By the end of the year, over a hundred thousand houses had been built and now only few hundred thousand slept in the ship and even they would soon leave.

In the middle of the winter they froze and wanted nothing more then to crawl into flames. But they didn't have what they needed to stay warm. Not even the flame. There was no material to burn after all and their food was also running short. The leaders questioned Hephaestus about this and he said he would fix it. But the truth id, he didn't know how. The beings who kept the nature at bay, kept the food in control and all of that. They were gone and he and a goddess of the moon, was all that ran the ship.

But one day, Hephaestus was in for a surprise. Ragnar appeared at his foot step with four people. The second he saw one of the women next to Ragnar, he freaked out.

" Hestia? Is that you?" He asked, shocked by what he felt.

" No, I am not Hestia, but I am her successor. Ragnar said you needed my help, so I came here with three of my friends. All of them are celestials. One is a celestial of nature, the other water and the last hope. I myself carry the hearth flame and will bless the humans with the flame of home. These three will stay with you and help you. But don't get any funny ideas!" She said, before disappearing.

The other's stayed though and quickly got to know Hephaestus. He told them stories of his homeland and they told him stories of their pantheon. But even though they were exchanging pleasantries. Work was still being done and trees started to grow on both sides of the trench.

The trench was filled with water and for the first time in forever rain blessed the realm of Olympus. Seeing this the humans felt hope, hope that they would make it through the winter. Hope they would grow and hope they would never have to worry about the winter again. The feeling by itself filled their hearts with warmth and suddenly the cold was a bit warmer.

More years passed and the city only grew and the population flourished. Statues of Hephaestus and the three celestials were everywhere and the hearth of the home, was in every household. In the middle of the city, a big open building, there was with a giant fire pit. The hearth of Olympus burned brightly, for all those who lacked it. Whenever a flame would extinguish in one of the households they would come here and get one.

As he city grew, so did the technology. Swords and shields, some even had armor.

A bridge across the trench had been built and the humans some times left their territory to hunt. Animals were everywhere and monsters of Olympus like the harpies were uncommon. They had their food, therefore needn't kill the humans.

The balance of the realm was finally back to what it once was and it made Hephaestus cry tears of joy. He never thought he seeing home flourish after all this time. When he saw his father die, he thought it was all over. Never once did he think he would rebuild it. Become the leader of Olympus.

Time was passing and the new replaced the old. The sons took their father's jobs and the father's finally got to rest. The young ones never grew up on the fathers and mothers home world. They heard stories from their parents past but nothing more. It was up to then to remember the old stories. But the truth warps with time and some times disappear from history all in all. Fearing this the first generation started painting their old world on stone.

Hundreds of years later these paintings became relics of the past and they believed it was the gods they worshiped back then. How wrong they were. The humans that once reached the second trigger in technology, soon to break through into micro manipulation devolved to using swords shields and magic. Forgetting the extravagant cars and luxury homes their ancestors had.

But one thing stayed the same. Hephaestus and the three celestials were still being worshipped. The barrier of their lands had also expanded and several new cities were made. The first one became the historical beginning of humanity. It was told that Hephaestus built this city and created humanity to live in it. Which couldn't be further from the truth, but Hephaestus didn't mind gaining some extra glory and worship. So he didn't stop them when they forgot their past.

But Hephaestus had forgotten one thing and it was crucial!

~Pov Ragnar~ (Third person)

Finally, Ragnar thought to himself. He was standing in front of a giant cave. It dwarfed him in every sense of the word. But it's size didn't intimidate him, no he was courageous and ready to fight if needed. He was hipped, after all these years of searching, he finally found the reason as to why he cane to Olympus.

(Flash back)

" Ragnar, there is something I need to tell you!"

" Go on, I got some time."

" Listen to me, this will be a bit complicated, but I'll simplify it! Have you noticed the weird balance between titans and celestials? How everywhere you go gods and celestials are more known and worshiped then giants. Well there is an actual reason behind that! The balance was broken long ago.there is supposed to be one hundred celestials in the sixth dimension and one hundred titans! But there is only 99 titans. The balance was destroyed long ago, by my pantheon to be precise and then norse mythology failed to end it. But now is the time to fix our mistakes of the past. Ragnar go to Olympus and find my cave! It was never found by norse mythology, so it's prisoner wasn't killed. Unlike the creatures in Tartarus. Go to the cave and release the prisoner. He will help you!"

" Who is it?"

" Have you ever heard of Cronus?" Nyx asked, sending shivers down Ragnar's spine.

" You're telling me the titan of time is locked up in your cave? Wasn't he supposed to be chopped up in pieces in tartarus?"

" It is put one story of many surrounding him Ragnar. But the true one is that he's trapped in my cave and I need you to release him and have him fight with you!"

" Fine, I'll se what I can fo, if that's what you want!" Ragnar answered.

(Flash back end)

It took longer then expected, but I finally found this damn place. Ragnar thought to himself as he walked through the cave system of the dark cave. He could feel essence of the night and the presence of Nyx. The place was reeking of her powers.

The further into the cave he got, the more suspicious of the cave he grew. But his suspicion was needless and he understood that, when he heard the sound of chains scraping against the floor.

Ragnar increased his walking pace and hurried towards the sound. When he arrived he saw a grey colored, hairless stone skinned creature starring at him and he starred back.

" Who are you, why are you in Nyx cave?" The creature asked, shaking their surroundings with it's vocal cords.

" I am Ragnar, I take it you're Cronus?"

" Cronus, that is a name I haven't heard in a long time. Though I haven't heard anything other then my chains in a long time. Why are you here Ragnar? Are you here to kill me, finish the job my son was to lazy to do?" Cronus asked, making Ragnar laugh.

" Hahahaha, no! I'm not here to kill you Cronus! I'm here to release you from your torment. If you do me a favor that is."

" What is the favor."

" Well you see Cronus, there are actually reasons why no ones been here for so long. I mean I could stay here for hours repeatedly saying nines and I still wouldn't reach the amount of years you've been here! Your son Zeus dead, your other children dead! Your friends and servants dead. Olympus almost empty. All because of a religion named norse mythology. They destroyed everything.

" Lies, norse mythology is my allied pantheon, why would they attack my friends and annoying family members?"

" I don't know, I just know they killed everyone. If you want to know and don't trust what I say, ask Nyx. So what do you say? Are you going to help me and be released, or stay and never see the outside again."

(Author here: sorry for no chapter yesterday :(. Hope you liked this one though. If you can't tell, Ragnar is trying to build his forces in every way possible. But enough of that have a great day and maybe give power stones. Author out :) )
