Chapter 197 Mourning

(Author here, reminder of characters. Marigine the daughter of an isekai protagonist Ragnar rescued from her family. She would later on become the justice factions leader. Isabella the girl born naturally through the dimension itself. She was born when chaos was at its strongest outside of its dimension. By a miricale. She would have died if not for Ragnar helping give birth to her.)

"Damnit, those damn mortals. How dare they jeopardize everything I've worked for for! All of them must die!" A peak celestial said to itself and a completely black mouth, with darkness inside it.

A beam of energy shot out from the celestial and broke through the fifth dimension, then the fourth dimension all the way into the third dimension where it hit a multiverse. An infinite construction of universes. With quadrillions of worlds with lives on. What would happen next would not be recorded in history for it was very common. A fifth dimensional being can interact with the third dimension. Some evil, or inpatient celestial go to far and destroy entire multiverses in their fit of anger.

This was no different and all of them would die, but then, time paused. A dark cloud of energy gathered around the infinite ball of universes and spoke. All the souls could hear it words, despite time itself being frozen. The energy was giving then an option. "Take part in a trial and become citizens of my realm!" it had told them.

All souls had agreed without even being conscious of their own choice.

What resulted afterwards was a wide range panic of all third dimensional beings. Only few demigods and dimigiants kept their cool. They kept as far away as possible from the raging crowd.

"A new batch is brewing!" Ragnar said. He was exhausted from kidnapping an infinite amount of third dimensional beings. Killing was one thing, he could destroy infinte amounts of multiverses. But that wasn't what he did. He kidnapped an infinite amount of beings and made them take a trial that could promote them to a fifth dimensional being. The amount of energy it need was way to extreme and Ragnar wasn't used to controlling that much energy at the same time. The only good thing was that he never has to do it again. Now he's set for life with recruits when they make it.

"Sigh, having infinite energy sure is a bliss, wish I could control it better!" Ragnar said.

"You'll get there, look at me! I'm accessing your friends energy in the realm of the Night. Nyx is so generous, she's not blocking my access at all. Since my realm is connected to here I though I would have some problems but no." Ratri consulted Ragnar, while taking her time to show appreciation for Nyx.

'Speaking of Nyx, system was she part of the war?'

(No, she was a friend of your father, but only through Paarthadox. She did not help the God, Nightwalker and his followers in the final battle!) system told Ragnar who sighed out loud.

"What is it now?" Ratri asked, confused by Ragnar's random sigh. "Did you forget something, or what?" she asked again and this time Ragnar shot up like a rocket, flying up to his realm in panic.

"F**k Maja, she's going to kill me!"

(The probability is sixty percent, seventy without a good excuse!) the system told him. Helping ti increase his worry.

Using his realm like a traveling device he returned to where he took his trials. There Maja was, waiting for him. She had a very pleasant expression that spoke of sadistic thoughts. Something Ragnar rather not see. He's seen and read to many fictions for that. Plus he's been using the omni verse as a tv show. Watching random protagonist throughout time itself.

Ragnar's thoughts traced back to the first protagonist he met and the daughter of that protagonist. "Marigine" he thought sadly. Knowing damn well she died. 'Isabella, Marigine, Mirella, everyone is dead!' he thought. A lonely tear snuck out of his right eye and fell to the ground.

"I didn't know you were that sad you forgot me, fine I'll let it slide this time!" Maja said, getting everything wrong when she saw Ragnar.

"Yeah, let's go don't you want to see my friends! Just a reminder, they're not your enemies and yes some have families. But most of them already lost their family so let them be! Or I'm leaving you here!" Ragnar said. Fearing the safety of his few remaining friends.

"Fine, but if they get all lovey dove in front of me, I'm killing them, I don't care!" she said and Ragnar nodded.

"Noted, will tell them!" he said and returned back to the realm with Maja.

"If you feel like it you can stay here, I'm sure the direct source of the rivers of time, of what has occurred will entertain you ti the fullest!" Ragnar said, as they appeared in his realm.

"I'll stay here for a while, what will you do?" she asked. She could tell he was low spirited, nothing new. But he was actually showing it now.

"I'm doing something I didn't have time for before!" Ragnar said and left.

Ragnar could finally access all lower dimensions. Meaning he could go to the fifth, fourth and third. Even lower, if he felt like being bored for some time. He entered the fourth dimension and teleported to the very first place he experienced life and death. He looked at the once barren battlefield where so many giants and gods had died and smiled. He traced time back to when he, Xelena and Bennett flew in the ship. How they first met Paarthadox and how they stood up to the general. He watched their friendship blossom throughout the whole ordeal.

But he wasn't able to stay there for long. A group of gods approached him. He had appeared right next to their realm after all. A small pantheon made up if eighteen gods and goddesses. Nothing major, but still something.

"Who are you?" one of the gods asked Ragnar.

"I'm just passing by, don't worry about me!" Ragnar said, his eyes never left the battlefield. The place that made him the person he is today. Where he met his friends and restarted Ragthor. Sadly it was a bittersweet feeling, as he failed to truly resurrect Ragthor, as it was destroyed again.

"You seem sad, did something happen?" one of the goddesses said, getting way to close to Ragnar.

"Nothing much, this was a fighting ground for quadrillions of gods and giants long, long ago. But, nowadays it's just like any other place in the fourth dimension. Time is truly beautiful, it can even heal the wounds of chaos!" Ragnar rambled to himself.

"Wait do you mean the pantheon with a 12/12 technology god?" the goddess asked.

"Yes, how do you know about that?" Ragnar asked.

"We're descendants from some survivors. We're here to rebuild the pantheon. May I ask you what's your name?" the goddess said. Gaining momentum with each word.

"My name is Ragnar, the leader personally handed me this after he war!" Ragnar said, taking out a cube he stopped using long, long ago. Now he simply kept it as a memory, of the good times. When life wasn't so complicated.

"Wait, are you that Ragnar. The one that was friends with Princess Xelena? But didn't he have blue hair and a blue beard. You look nothing like him! But Ragnar was the only one that was given a dimensional storage cube that day!" the goddess said.

"I am that Ragnar, I just changed my hair and got rid of the beard for the moment. But how do you know all of this?"

"There's a recording from that that survived. We watched it over and over again. We can't even begin to fathom how powerful our pantheon was at its peak. It fills us with belief and strength to rebuild and never give up!" one of the gods said.

"Hmm, well heck it. I don't have that much free time, I have to visit some other places before I get back to my duties. Listen kids, Xelena is alive! If you want to, I can take you too her. But she gave up on this place a long time ago. You could also stay here and rebuild! It's your choice." Ragnar said.

The fourth dimensional being glanced at each other and said.

"We are loyal to the pantheon, its message and the peace it offered. If lady Xelena wishes to rebuild the pantheon we will instantly go to her. But if she's given up hope we will stay here and continue her father's legacy!"

Ragnar smiled and disappeared, reappearing in front of them some seconds later. He threw his cube to them and said.

"This is a relic from the old pantheon. Inside it is all you need to become stronger. I filled it to the brim with powerful gods." It was 12/12 gods. "Also, take this!" Ragnar said creating eighteen lights that floated into their chests. Or something similar to it. As none of them had a humanoid form.

Before they could voice their opinion Ragnar left. He traveled to the place he had met Marigine. The weird realm her father had built. It was still there, but it wasn't alone. Hundreds of realms were all around it. As Ragnar entered the realm he felt a shift in energy as a red haired man appeared. His eyes were dark and Ragnar wouldn't mistake that man fir anyone else. Several young women appeared next to him. They seemed way to young to be his wives so Ragnar guessed they were his children.

"You, you look different, but I won't mistaken you for anyone else. You're the one who stole my daughter from me!" the man said. Despite his words he didn't show any signs of aggression.

"I came here to mourn but it seems like you still live here!" Ragnar said. He hadn't bothered checking id Marigine's father was here.

"You use the word mourn, does this mean Marigine is dead?!" the man asked. This time not so friendly.

"Yes, she died long, long ago. This is the first time I have time to regret my choices and remember the past. Not that you would care. I know that your daughter died because of me and that my sadness and regret means nothing to you. So I won't explain myself!" Ragnar said.

"How did she die, who killed her?" the man asked.

"She was killed by something far more powerful than you can imagine. It's better if you don't know who killed her. But I'll tell you how it happened.

"In a realm, that was called Ragthor, there were several sixth dimensional beings, me included. My wife was also a sixth dimensional being. But she betrayed me all of a sudden and gained far more power than I could imagine. She rampaged and killed everyone in Ragthor other than ten people, me excluded. Your daughter was not one of the survivors! An ocean of blood spawned many creatures that were stronger than peak fifth dimensional beings. After that ocean of blood had raged and killed many, that is. I don't know if she died from the monsters or the tsunami of blood before it, I apologize."

"Fine, if you can't kill your wife that betrayed you, than I will. How do I become sixth dimensional? I've been trying for many years now, but nothing seems to help."

"You have a system don't you?" Ragnar asked all of a sudden.

"Yes, how did you know?" the man asked.

"Hmm, if you want to be one of the hundred of either titan or celestial than it's impossible. But if you want to be another kind of sixth dimensional then it's possible. Though they are called vermin!" Ragnar said.

"If it's for power than sure. I'll become a vermin." the man said.

"Hey system, you heard him! Ask your master to take him in!" Ragnar said. He knew that the System of all systems. One of the strongest seventh dimensional beings of all time would listen to his request. As they were good friends. Even if they haven't met.

[System is going under maintenance. Please stand aside Original Timeline, I will handle the rest.] the system sounded out. But it wasn't the system of the man. It was System itself.

"Who the hell are you?" the man managed to ask before blacking out.

(Author here: omg chapter, yes, yes. This time I'm actually going back to five two thousand chapters a week. I just really needed to rest, without going on hiatus. Anyways drop a power stone, write a review and enjoy. Author out :) )
