Chapter 202 Snake

~Pov ?~ (Third person)

The peak celestial observed the world through its vision. Almost nothing could escape its nigh infinite sight, yet somehow the wall in front of him was indifferent to it. Frustrated by the walls disrespect, it intended to end its long lived life.

Sadly the celestial was not alone and could not act upon its whims. Not that it ever could. Not once had it been allowed to rejoice its powers. For all around it were the same. All of them trained to be killers, tools for a war they had nothing to do with. Yet all were but angry. They joyfully prepared for the war that's been propagated to then since he beginning.

Now, millions of years after being brought to the pantheon realm and forced to take on the trial, were they in front of the enemy. Just a meager wall separating them from Asgard.

"Listen well! This is not the last wall, there will be many more, each protected by enemies. They will not hesitate to kill and destroy your soul, so neither should you. Once you destroy their physical form, do the same to their soul.

"Today the war will begin, lord Fenrir and lord Ragnar have conquered Svartalfheim as promised. All that's left now is to begin the war. We might just seem like disposable pawns that they send first, so they don't risk their lives. But don't be fooled, we are just as important in this war.

"Soon Unity will destroy the wall and kickstart the war. Say your goodbyes to your friends, as this might be their, or your final moment!"

A general told the celestials.

The peak celestial stilled its beating soul and waited for the order. Just like all its friends and allies. Soon the call came and Unity arrived. Within the time it took for the peak celestial to gather its thoughts the wall was down and the war was upon them. Furious screams came from its allies as they for the first time met the opposition.

When the first wall fell they were met with the army of Norse Mythology. None of them were any weaker than peak fifth dimensional.

The celestial known as Fig was one of the first to charge forward. Its power over Friction started working on overdrive. The ten closest celestials of Norse were slowed down considerably and it was enough time for others to kill them.

When in their soul state Fig used his powers over friction to slow them down even more and kill the ten of them. All happened so fast that it didn't even take 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 nanosecond.

Once more using his powers the celestial jumped in the air and took on a shapeless form for some seconds. Becoming a radioactive ray of friction that hit the closest enemies. Then he retreated and waited for them to be overwhelmed by the others. To the. Finish the job by himself.

After the battle had gone on for a full second Unity made its first move. A giant mass rose to the air and rose its limbs high into the air. Then it brought its wing, like arm down and a shining light blinded the realm. Despite the lack of eyes, the light itself hurt the Norse and all its concentrated mass hit got obliterated by the light, souls and all.

Fig watched in revere, Unity was a beast. A monster beyond words. Cheers echoed throughout the battleground. While the Norse used the moment of unawareness to launch a counterstrike. Fig git his hands full instantly, when he had to use his friction to slow down the nearest enemies.

Fig watched in horror as many of its friends were overwhelmed by the enemies attack. He cursed in his head, weren't they battle hardened. Why did they lose focus. It must be because of their new allies.

Fig's attempt to stop the closest celestials bore result and he managed to save his closest allies. They quickly killed the slowed celestials and made their way forward. Fig didn't let his guard down for a nanosecond. For everything could change quickly.

Right now his team were moving quickly, too quickly. Due ti their quick charge they left the others behind. Not everyone had a supportive character like Fig and that meant they had to slow down and wait for reinforcement. For right now they were surrounded from all sides.

But to begin with that was the plan.

"You got the balls?" Fig yelled to its ally.

"Of course we got the balls, lets throw them at the enemy!" they answered. Taking out blackish balls they threw them as far as they could and all hell broke lose. A black vortex connecting to chaos was created and many nightmarish creatures appeared. They started killing all the enemies they could find and stopped at nothing less than death.

Slightly retreating, as to not get caught in the chaos Fig and its friends awaited backup. Fighting of all the enemies close to them. But it didn't take long for the first of Fig's allies to fall and with it more and more. It was left with three celestials when they returned to safety. Seventeen if the bomb squad had died.

Several others returned from the same expedition. Fig was given a new team and the old one was disbanded into the rest of the army. It was time to do it all over again.

Norse wasn't completely overwhelmed however. They easily dealt with the enemies and fought with great vigor. They managed to push back Ragthor to the wall again after reforming their frontline. The bombs only managed to shock them in the beginning and they quickly found a way to deal with the problem.

Unity noticing what happened intervened once more. Raising its wings high into the hair they started rotating around it. Light started to come out of its eyes and "boom" the world shattered.

The wall, the ground and everything became distorted. Floating rocks, where celestial stood spanned in all directions, up, down, right left, forward, backward. The titans were put in a tight spot, but they managed to overwhelm their odds. They themselves became a platform for their ally celestials as they started to walk forward. The frontline that once existed was thrown into oblivion. As celestials struggled to stay alive in the chaotic environment.

Ragthor quickly used all their chaos bombs to further capitalize on the moment of shock. Within a second the tide of the battle which was in norse favor had turned and become one sided to Ragthor.

Fig was in the middle of the mess, it used friction to slow down every celestial around the titan it rode with its allies. Thousands of celestials rode on one titan. They marched forward and Fig did everything in its power to prevent their titan from being hurt. Its greenish energy hit all celestials it saw.

Fig and its allies protected the titan with all their might, but it was just to big of a target and after a while it fell. They couldn't even prevent the slaughter that happened next. Hundreds of celestials died and the titans souls together with the unlucky celestials were destroyed.

Fig used its power over friction to slow down everything around it to the greatest of it capabilities and started using it offensive at the same time. Using friction to its fullest capabilities it scraped the celestials apart. Slowly with a few allies Fig made its way to another titan. Just like the titan before it would die soon. But with Fig and its allies it got enough time to recover and march forward once more.

They joined the others who rode the titan and started protecting the new titan. Unity's figure shone like a star in space, filling them with hope. Perhaps its next move would bring them even more of an advantage. What they didn't know was that something was approaching and quickly.

Thousands of islands were blown apart and titan after titan fell in his wake. A brown haired man, wearing an iron helmet shot forward. His very presence made the norse cheer. Within the small time he was here Unity was thrown into oblivion. A sharp, monstrous sword appeared in the mans had and slashed Unity in two.

Not dead yet Unity did its best to kill as many Norse as possible. Than the man's judging sword fell and killed Unity. Or so they thought, just as unity was about to die a man appeared with a spear in his hand. A wild smile plastered his face and rage burned in his eyes.

"HEIMDALL!" the man screamed. His black hair swayed back and forth, his green eyes glowed menacingly.

In his hand was a golden black spear that made the realm tremble.

"Loki!" Heimdall said, equally angry.

Loki's spear shot out, attempting to skewer Heimdall. But Heimdall blocked his attacks and slashed back.

Both of them ignored their surroundings and many casualties resulted from both sides. Fig watched in horror as the two fought, while Unity acted quickly. Using its weird light it made a giant dome for the two too fight and joined Fig and the others.

The two powerhouses stopped at nothing to cause harm to one another and their energy started to break through Unity's barrier with ease. But Unity was nowhere near done, it started chanting some weird words, while light shined once more. Then all of a sudden space around them distorted and they were moved.

They appeared far far away from the two entities battling and could restart their own. Fig was the first of his allies on the titan to start attacking again. He used friction all around the titan to slow down the projectiles of the enemy and gained them just enough time to defend and attack. In the distance they could still hear the two beings fight and weird lights shine.

From time to time a powerful gust of energy would pass by and send them flying here and there. The Norse weren't faring any better. Unity made it its purpose to antagonize the enemy.

Fig found itself injured, without time to recover. Its strength started to dismiss and it wasn't the only. Injuries from both the two entities and the battle made them tired and hurt.

Loki parried Heimdall's sword and stab his spear into Heimdall's shoulder. The man laughed and slashed his sword vertically down on Loki. Loki slithered like a snake away from the attack and made hundreds of copies of himself. All started creating runes and casting different spells. Each serving to strengthen the original. Then they attacked together to deal a killing blow on Heimdall. But he causally destroyed all the copies and looked at Loki.

"Is this all?" he asked mockingly and raised his blade. Next second he was in front of Loki, his sword already plunging towards the mischievous bastard's neck. Before it hit Loki blocked once more and let go of his spear and launched forward. Grabbing Heimdall by his waist he suplexed him and summoned his spear again.

Heimdall somehow made his leg act independent from his body and kicked Loki. Then he stood up again and slammed his sword against the incoming spear. A shield appeared in his hand and he smacked it against Loki's head. Then he slashed his sword over Loki's chest and head-butted him.

Loki stabbed his spear into Heimdall and created a new one. A green light suddenly shone and a gigantic serpent appeared out of nowhere.

It's body was so big it covered the whole realm, no place was untouched. The fighting came to an end with its presence as Loki laughed.

"Hahaha, today you die!" he said to Heimdall.

The next second the snake spit its venom on Loki's spear. The spear was specifically crafted to hold the venom. So when the day came he could use it in battle. Then the two attacked Heimdall together.
