Chapter 206 Yatagarasu

The distant lands faded away. The black hair of the personification of the night, flowed uncontrollably, expanding into the distance. A wave of darkness enveloped the world behind her, as the night became omnipresent. An abyss surrounded Asgard, the only viable thing in the darkness was a lone figure of a women. Her pure black eyes and sinister expression sent shivers down the spines of the onlookers, as they thought, 'monster'.

Odin stood his ground, becoming the only barricade, protecting Asgard from the endless night. The feather armor only grew more, slowly consuming his body, until only his one eye was visible. It carried rage, an unbound rage kept for trillions of years. His spear got corrupted by the ravens and became pure black, not even leaving a spec of its former self.

"Yatagarasu, I accept the accord!" Odin said and the realm shock, literally all of Norse Mythology started to shake.

(Flashback) ~Pov Odin~ (Third person)

"Damn them, I did everything they wanted me to do!" Odin screamed and slammed the cup of mead against the table. He was alone in the throne chamber. Yet again, Odin did the bidding of the all knowing. He was forced to slaughter a bunch of lesser pantheons again, they were filled with heretics, apparently.

"How long is this going to continue?" he asked himself and chugged another mug of mead, created by he blood of their enemies.

Odin had long since reached his limits and now needed to ascend, but due to the contract with the all knowing, he could not become one of them and was trapped as a foot soldier forever.

"Odin, we need you to take care of a family of dragons, send your son to kill them and make sure the father of them is dead! You are to kill him personally, I don't care if you're friends or not." Odin was ordered once more and without further ado, he got to work.

Ordering his son to go kill them, he left to do the rest himself.

The roars of agony echoed around them, in front of Odin laid Sigurd and Fafnir, both had holes all over their bodies and were bleeding profusely.

"Why?" the dragon asked, in between its dying breaths. Odin's one working eye was working overtime, crying enough for both his eyes. Replacing the one he lost long ago.

"Fafnir…" Odin said and walked forward, his hands shock, vibrating at such speed he was hurting himself, as he touched the face if his dying friend. Sigurd fought to stand up and cut Odin to pieces with his sword, but he had no strength and laid helplessly on the ground, watching he events take place.

"I'm so sorry!" Odin said and clenched his hand around the dragon's head, making it explode. Odin kept crying, as his mouth closed and opened uncontrollably. He turned to Sigurd, who glared at him in anger.

"At least spare Paarthlora and Paarthadox, they don't deserve this!" Sigurd begged and Odin walked towards him slowly.

"I really wish I could!" Odin said, slowly approaching his old friend, a person he's known since he was born, a sworn brother.

"Damn you, you monster, I'll kill you!" Sigurd yelled and stood up, using his last remaining energy to sacrifice his life-force, for a final act. "If you won't spare them, then I just have to make sure you can't reach them in time!" Sigurd said and exploded into a puddle of blood, that engulfed Odin, sealing him for a full minute.

Enough time for Thor to finish. "I killed the girl, father!" Thor said, proud of his accomplishments.

"Good, what about the boy, Paarthadox?" Odin asked.

"Wait, I was supposed to kill him too? So, well, uhm, he's alive!" Thor said, while scratching his beard, embarrassed.

Odin smiled, his tears coming to a stop. "I see" he said relieved "find him, now!" Odin ordered Thor, while staying behind. 'They never said that I was to hunt anyone other than Fafnir and Sigurd, those bastards!' Odin thought and walked up to the puddle of blood and the dragon corpse. Bending down Odin made them a grave and left afterwards, returning home.

This was the first time Odin felt true hatred towards the all knowing.

(Many years later.)

"Loki left, father, what should we do, follow?" Thor asked. Loki just left on his journey, after having lost what was most important to him. Ever since the beginning, Odin never did what was best for his people, or others, only what the all knowing wanted. Yet Thor, Heimdall and everyone stayed loyal.

"Let him be!" Odin ordered, if Loki wished to rebel against him and end his misery he wouldn't complain.

(Many years later)

"Balder, my cute boy!" Freya said, carrying her sweet baby child. Odin watched the kid with pride, all hatred and self blame was set aside, as he for once felt like being a father. He Norns said he'd die soon, but I refuse, if it's okey I'll make sure nothing can harm him!" Freya said to Odin and with his permission she left.

"Loki, have you seen Balder, isn't he cute?" Thor said excitedly. Loki had returned long ago, reuniting with his "family" and the plans were set in order. That was until he saw Odin.

A smile of pure joy, his eyes reflecting his happiness, as he held his new born son. Loki struggled to keep himself in check. 'What right do you have to be happy?' he thought, while staying behind. Letting Thor meet his brother.

Years passed and Freya returned with good news, the kid couldn't be killed by anything. But Loki refused to believe that and sought the answer himself. After thousands of years he found the answer, a mistletoe, if he had a mistletoe, he could kill Balder.

On a sunny day, everyone was playing with Balder while eating food. They played different games and attacked him with different weapons. Loki joined that very party, concealing a very dangerous weapon, an arrow, made out of a mistletoe.

Loki handed Hother the Mistletoe and directed him to Balder, telling him to partake in the games. Hother, being a good friend of Loki trusted him and threw the arrow.

Freya, grew pale, seeing the green glimmer and stood up, panic struck her, as she ran to stop the arrow, but she was to late. The arrow planted itself in Balder's chest, as he felt pain for the first time in his life. Blood flowed down his chest, as he coughed violently. He stood up and looked around him, trying to see who harmed him, that's when he saw him, Loki. The brother that never acknowledged him, always seemed indifferent to him and his father. He was smiling, a sadistic smile, full of joy and hatred. He watched Balder fall to the ground and take his last breath.

"Loki!" Odin screamed, standing up. He launched at his new worst enemy, but Loki escaped. A royal decree was released, Loki was to be captured and tortured for all eternity.

(Many years later)

Loki was finally caught, making his rule come to an end and Odin visited his prison in secret.

"Loki, you bastard!" Odin yelled at Loki when he saw the smug Mischief guru.

"Haha, look at you, what git you so worked up? Aren't you the indifferent slave that kills everyone at a whim. Why are you pretending that you care about Balder, if that was the case, you would've killed, or stopped me long ago. You just tell yourself that things are different, but we know the truth, you will never change. You're just a monster, acting like a leader and now a father. Where was that love for me and Thor, hahaha, admit it, you're just a selfish fool!" Loki said, making Odin clench his fist. But he said nothing more, simply leaving Loki.

"I should have killed you back then, I just thought, maybe things could get better, or you'd kill me, not involve the others in our quarrel, seems I was wrong!"

(Many years later)

"I've had enough, kill me already!" Odin yelled, he stabbed the spear through his stomach, but he couldn't hurt himself, simply making the spear appear on the other side, with no injury.

Around him was another pantheon, they called themselves Ragthor, he and Thor killed them, after they were ordered to execute them. Apparently they were hiding a heretic. Like many times before they did as told, so they could return home and act like nothing was wrong, be a family. But Ragthor, they were just like them, they reminded Odin of his own pantheon, if he wasn't there, maybe they could be like them, a happy family.

A blue haired man stood in front of him, a god, a weak little god of water. He had no way to win, yet he stood his ground, protecting his people.

"What's your name?" Odin asked the man. He stood there, a spear in hand. Blue hair, blue eyes and even blue skin. He was the very incarnation of water and the very incarnation of bravery. Standing tall in front if a being of true power.

"RAGNAR!" the man answered, bloodlust leaking from his voice, behind him was a small girl, she had curly black hair and was a beauty in celestial standards. Perhaps because she was one, she was the celestial of darkness. One of the eight supreme celestials. Around them laid omni-trillions of dead celestials and gods, all killed by Odin.

"Listen kid, the girl behind you is hiding a heretic, if you comply and hand her to me, I will spare your life, how about it. Would be a shame if all of you were wiped out!" Odin offered the man, but he refused.

He sighed and took out he spear from his stomach and said, suit yourself. The next second he made the entire realm collapse and used it to seal the kid.

"Ragnar!" the celestial yelled, seeing the young man's fate.

"How could you, you killed everyone, why, we did nothing to you, out of nowhere you attack us and then annihilate everyone, for what? Why would you do this, we haven't done anything!" she screamed at Odin and he scuffed.

"Hell if I know, the all knowing called you a heretic, blame yourself for saving someone you shouldn't. Even if I don't know who, or what you saved, but you weren't supposed to, that's why you have to die, I'm sorry!" Odin said, a cleanly slashed her head of.

"Capture her soul and bring her in fir interrogation!" Odin ordered his men, staying behind to watch the blood shed.

"Have you considered our proposal yet, Odin? Yatagarasu is still waiting fir your choice!" a raven asked.

"I don't know yet, if I'm ready to go that far, I'll lose myself and my family if I do!" Odin answered truthfully.

"Well, we'll always be here, me and Hugin are patiently waiting fir your response, but until than, you can only use a fraction of our power!"

(Back to present)

Odin's eye went blank, as his consciousness left his body.

"Welcome, my child, I have awaited you!" A giant black feathered raven, with three legs said, its pure black eyes sending shivers through Odin.

"Greeting Yatagarasu, Raven Of The Sun, it's a pleasure meeting an esteemed Sun Dinosaur like yourself!" Odin said and Yatagarasu cackled.

"Bahaha, no need to flatter me, are you ready, you know the price! You will no longer be able to gain your own element and will become a Sun Dinosaur under me, of my element. Not an incarnation like true Sun Dinosaurs, but a servant!"

"I'm aware, but if things go on like this, my one worry will disappear, replaced by something worse!" Odin said.

"Very well, I can only give you five minutes, than you will be forcefully ascended into a seventh dimensional being!" the three legged raven said and Odin returned to reality.
