7. Introducing Themselves

The two, Wu Tian and Johan arrived at a two-story house with a modern minimalist design. The house is not too big but has a yard that is about the size of the house. When viewed from the outside, the house gives the impression of an anti-social house where the owner of the house doesn't want to socialize with other people as the house is surrounded by fairly high metal fences.

When they landed, Johan immediately fell to the ground. He was seen covering his mouth with a slightly pale face as if he was about to throw up.

As for why he ended up like this, it was because Wu Tian didn't like flying for so long. So he used his flying sword spinning technique to increase his speed.

Just as the name suggests, the flying sword spinning technique makes the flying sword soar faster by spinning. This causes anyone who is not used to it to be nauseous.

Wu Tian ignored Johan and walked toward the front door. He stretched his hand forward to touch something in front of him, not touching the doorknob but touching the transparent barrier.

"Oh, the formation is well made." Wu Tian murmured. He unleashed his qi to a certain point of the formation. In an instant, the formation disappeared.

"Hey little fellow, how long are you going to pretend to be nauseous?"

Johan, who was still crawling, tried to hold back his nausea so he wouldn't throw up. He raised his head and said,

"Mr. Wu, I'm about to throw…blergh…"

All the food that was still in his digestion came out because he couldn't hold it in anymore. It can't be helped, the trip just now made Johan's stomach churn.

"Ah, that's disgusting. Can't you throw up somewhere else?"

"If you didn't want me to vomit, you shouldn't have brought me here using a flying sword that spins at high speed." Johan protested inwardly.

Moments later, others came one after another with their flying swords.

Seeing Johan's poor condition, Liu Mei complained.

"Senior Wu. Do you want to give him aerophobia? How could you bring him with that kind of speed? You even used your flying sword technique."

"Can't I? Don't modern kids love that kind of adrenaline? Happy Valley Beijing, Happy Valley Chengdu, and Chimelong Water Park. Don't those amusement parks have tons of adrenaline rides?"

"But your flying sword technique is 50 times more heart-wrenching than the adrenaline ride!"

Liu Mei felt sorry for Johan. Because Liu Mei had also felt the same way. Even she who was a cultivator couldn't stand it, let alone Johan who wasn't.

"Don't worry. He'll get used to it later."

Johan, who heard their conversation, could only cry.

A few minutes later when everyone had entered Lu Feng's house.

Johan felt that all of them had no malicious intent, so he attempted to start a conversation. His right fist clenched and his left fist held his right fist. He saluted all of them.

"Misters, bros, sis, and a mister monk. My name is Johan Juansyah, no first name or surname. In Chinese, you can call me Yuehan Huanxia or just Yue Han. Truth to be told, it's kinda unbelievable that all of you have such superpowers. If this is a dream, it's understandable. However, I was wrong. This isn't a dream at all. Who exactly are you?"

He had started to accept the fact that superpowers were real and not just fiction.

After Johan said that, everyone saluted him back.

A man in his 30s with a thin mustache, Deadly Note, who had been attracted to Johan from the start answered.

"As you said earlier, we do have superpowers. We are called Xiulian ren."

From the start, Deadly Note already felt something weird about him. Moreover, Johan can keep himself alive as a mortal when he is inflicted with a curse that even a senior like Wu Tian who is knowledgeable about curses didn't know how to lift his curse. And some time ago, he witnessed with his own eyes that Johan was able to see through an illusion using his eyes. This made Deadly Note think that there was nothing wrong with introducing Johan to the world of cultivation because he already had an amazing ability that was probably innate from birth.

"Xiulian ren?"

Johan felt confused by those words. Maybe he was not well-versed in Chinese, so it confused him. He pondered.

"Wait wait, xiulian is practice, ren is people. The meaning of xiulian ren should be a trainer, right? Can a trainer in Chinese have such power? Or am I the one who doesn't understand the meaning of his words?"

He didn't understand because the words didn't fit the sentence. So, he asked.

"Mister, can you translate the "Xiulian ren" to English? Maybe my Chinese isn't that perfect, so I somehow don't understand what it means."

Deadly Note finally understood why Johan was silent. Maybe he didn't understand what xiulian ren meant.

"Oh, so that's what you're confused about? If I change it to English…Hmm, let's see… That means cultivator."

"Cultivator? It's not agriculturist or farmer, isn't it?"

Johan became even more confused. He couldn't connect a cultivator with superpowers. What he knew about a cultivator was a person with farming knowledge or an agriculturist.

"The hell with the agriculturist. Do we look like that? It's a cultivator in a different meaning, a practitioner! Not agriculturist!"

"Hahahaha."

"Pfftt, agriculturist…"

"You're so funny, little fellow."

The others laughed out loud and made Johan blush. But he complained in his heart. "You should just explain to me what a cultivator is, mister!? Don't hang me up like that! It's embarrassing, you know!"

Deadly Note sighed.

"Well, I thought you would understand. Then, let me explain. A cultivator is a person who trains in martial and mystical arts, generally in order to become powerful and increase their longevity to attain godhood or become immortal. We are called cultivators because we cultivate the Qi within our bodies which is a common practice among cultivators. Usually, cultivators like us tend to conceal ourselves from ordinary people, so we won't affect their life. Well, you're an exception though."

The explanation is really easy to understand. It also sounds similar to what's in the Dragon Ball anime which trains Qi to become stronger.

"Martial artist, huh?"

Johan knew some martial arts, such as karate, taekwondo, kendo, pencak silat, and kungfu. He just didn't think someone who trained martial arts could be 100 times stronger or maybe more than 100 times stronger than an ordinary person.

"That's right. We are martial artists. Oh right, We haven't introduced ourselves, have we? For my name, just call me Deadly Note!"

"Deadly Note? That's kinda weird, mister."

"You can say that's my title or nickname. We call it a Daoist name. My real name is Wang Zhiming."

"Wang Zhiming? Deadly King? What a domineering name."

Johan felt that name was so cool. Then he looked at a middle-aged man who said afterward.

"You might hear the other called me senior Wu. Let me introduce myself properly. My name is Wu Tian."

Johan nodded.

After that, a monk approached him. He put his palms together to greet Johan.

"This monk is Great Master Profound Nirvana."

"?? Is that mister monk's Daoist name?"

Great Master Profound Nirvana shook his head.

"It's not a Daoist name. Rather, it's my Dharma name."

Johan slightly understood what a Dharma name was.

"Oh, the kind of title when a monk ranked up?"

The monk nodded at Johan's questions.

Then, the others introduced themselves to Johan one after another. Such as Qitian Dasheng, Southern Vermillion, Liu Mei, Xiao Lin, Alchemy Great Master, Xing Zhe, Xiong Fei, and Lu Feng.

Qitian Dasheng was commonly known as a genius cultivator with rare time and space abilities. South Vermillion was a monster cultivator with unique red hair and it could transform into a human form. Liu Mei was a beautiful woman with an appearance in her late 20s. Xiao Lin was also a beautiful woman, but she had unique blue hair and an affinity for the ice element. As for the Alchemy Great Master, he was a short-haired man who could concoct magic pills and liquids for cultivators. Xing Zhe was a long-haired man who had a straight face and aloof demeanor. He excels in poison and daggers. His thin presence made him one of the most dangerous cultivators. Xiong Fei was a young man the same age as Lu Feng, while Xiong Fei excelled in a saber, Lu Feng excelled in a sword. Both were people who didn't get along because of these differences.

After they introduced themselves, Wu Tian said to Johan.

"You don't need to be formal with us, little Yue Han! We can call each other's names."

"Is it alright? It's kinda rude to call all of you by your first names. Moreover, it seems I'm the youngest here."

Suddenly someone grabbed his shoulder from behind. He was Lu Feng.

"You don't need to worry. You can call him old Wu or old Tian. Isn't that right, senior?"

"But, you called him "senior", why?"

"Oh, it's my habit."

Johan grumbled that he had been deemed as a gullible kid.

"Who would believe you if it was your habit? You just don't want to piss him off!" Johan said inwardly.

But, he heard Wu Tian speak.

"It's alright, you can call me old Wu or old Tian!"

Since Wu Tian himself had confirmed it, Johan nodded. But he still felt uncomfortable if he directly called him like that.

At that moment, he remembered something.

"By the way, Mister Wu Tian. You said you're going to talk about my future. What does that mean?"

Wu Tian did not immediately answer. He turned to the others who both nodded. Then Wu Tian's gaze returned to Johan with a serious expression. He then explained slowly…
