Chapter 10
Jackson's POV
I walked into school for the first time in a while because I was stuck doing alpha business which needed attending to, plus if/well when I needed my homework I would get one of the guys either Jake, Edward or Chris to get my homework or assignments. Also the school is basically all werewolves and the few that aren't werewolves either know of them or don't. The ones that do know about us only do because they are mated to one and then their families tend to end up finding about us.
When I walked into school I could sense that something was off with my wolf. He has been anxious for a few weeks but today he was extra nervous and I had no idea why as he wont tell me.
When I was walking to my first class which was AP Science I walked passed one of the AP History classes where I noticed that there was a very pretty long black haired girl with pale skin and red lipstick in the back corner trying to keep to herself but with her clothing and just her looks its hard not to notice her. To me it looks like she is getting all her stuff ready for the class. The next thing I know is that the bell for first class goes off and I head to class with the black haired beauty in mind.

Time Skip-Lunch

My class before lunch has ended and I walked to the cafeteria with Jake, Chris, and Edward towards our table at the back corner after we got our food. I see in the corner of my eye that Jake looks up towards the line where you get your food and has an annoyed look in his eye.
"Hey what's up with you?" I ask Jake who, at the sound of my voice, looked up to me and sighed.
"I just noticed the girl Violet I think her name is getting lunch and was thinking about our race yesterday. She really shouldn't have won since she smells like human and no human can out run a werewolf let alone a beta. And even if a human can out run a werewolf the human would be really out of breath and what not. But Violet didn't seem to be out of breath or tiered at all. It looked as if she could go on all day and possibly run faster. I don't know but she both amazes me and, makes me weary of her." Jake said to me reminding me of our conversation yesterday in my office.
"Are we sure that she is human if she can out run Jake and is super protective of her sister if this is the same Violet we are talking about?" Edward says to both Jake and Chris, as they are the ones at school yesterday since both Edward and I were busy.
"Yeah at least I am sure because she doesn't smell like werewolf like at all and she does smell like she is human." Jake said to us.
Whilst they were all talking I was listening but something caught my eye again. It was that girl from earlier in the AP History class.
"Hey Jake who is that?" I asked Jake and pointed her out.
"That is the girl we were just talking about, Violet"
"Shit that's the person that knew that I was a warrior and had that wolf with her" Edward said gaining my attention even more.
"So she knows about us werewolves and somehow knew that you, Edward are a warrior so that means that she probably knows that Jake, you're a beta and Chris, that you're a third in command. This also means that she has some control over the wolf. We need to get more information from her. Lets go and see her. Do you guys know where she sits?" I ask the group.
"No but Zane does because he found them yesterday to apologise to Summer. I will mind-link him and ask where they sit." Chris says
"The tree outside apparently they where the only ones out side there yesterday so hopefully they are there again today." Chris says
"Okay lets go and see if they are there then. If they are we can try and talk to them." I said.
We walked outside and I instantly found Violet. It is like I am drawn to her. I feel like there is supposed to be a mate like connection to Violet but her scent isn't drawing me in like it is supposed to if she is my mate. My wolf is now a bit calmer in Violets presence then before when he was anxious and on edge.
I noticed that Violet was sitting with a girl around Zane's age who looked up towards us then down but instantly looked up wide-eyed and looked at Violet shaking her head nearly un-noticeable as if saying no. If I wasn't so caught up on looking at Violet and the girl that is with her I don't think even I would have noticed the small intake of breath that was followed by both the girl that Violet was with and Violet's body stiffening.
"Hmmm that was interesting." I said to the boys in mind-link when I noticed the girl's almost invisible shake of her head to Violet and, the body stiffening of both girls. Violets body stiffening more prominent then the girl that was with her.
"Hi! You girls seemed lonely so we decided to come over to join you." Jake said since he does at least know Violet. I noticed Violet's body stiffening more then it was before at his voice. Violet turns around and I noticed that she is not looking at me at all. She is completely avoiding eye contact with any of us except Jake. Violet is glaring at him for some reason.
"Jake I would say it is nice to see you but that would be a lie. What can I help you with and who are your friends?" Violet said to Jake but when she finished the first part the girl she was with nudged her and Violet rolled her eyes at the girl.
"Well Violet this is Jackson, Chris and Edward. Who is this with you?" Jake asked which made the girl next to Violet stiffen and move closer to Violet. Jake's question also seemed to make Violet get protective and also a bit aggressive. The girl next to Violet puts her hand on Violet and Violet seems to relax a bit at the younger girls touch. Again that was weird.
"Jake if you have to know this is my younger sister." Violet says to Jake.
"Not going to tell me her name or introduce me to her?" He asked laughing slightly but instantly stoped when he noticed the deathly glare Violet sent him. The boys and I laughed at that.
"No I am not goi..."
"I am Summer, Violets younger sister. Please ignore my sister's behaviour she woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and got little to no sleep last night so that isn't helping either." Summer instantly cut her older sister off and introduced herself to us. Summer seemed to be the quieter one as, when she spoke it was quiet and soft, Summer was quick too cut her older sister off for being rude to us though.
"Any way I got told that you, Violet beat Jake in a running race." I said to her. Summer got a surprised look in her eye and looked at Violet. Violet I'm guessing forgot to mention that to her sister.
"I am guessing Violet here forgot to mention this to you yesterday?" Jake says to Summer.
"Yeah I forgot to mention this to my sister because it just slipped my mind plus it was just a fluke that I beat you yesterday." Violet said to Jake.
"Yeah sure it did also do you rememb.." Jake started but got cut off
"Dude seriously not now." I said to Jake already knowing where this was going.
"Fine but you owe me later"
"No I don't and just shut up you are giving me a headache"
"That makes two of us does he ever shut up?" Violet says to me. This is the first time she has actually said anything to me.
"Sadly no he is more annoying then anything." I said
"Hey I am still here you know"
"Jake shut up and go away already you are making me feel sick" Violet says to him which makes all of us except Jake and Summer who has been quiet the whole time except when she practically told her sister off.
"Fine you guys are no fun anyway"
"Awe poor Jakey did Violet hurt your feelings?" Chris said to him.
"Yeah man I haven't seen you this worked up in a while" Edward said to Jake laughing.
"We better go to class" Summer said to Violet who had frozen for a second, it was almost un-noticeable.
"Yeah we should..." Violet said becoming slightly distant for a minute then snapped out of it and stood up from the grass and went to class whilst Summer followed, both girls didn't finish there lunch nor did they touch it since we had gotten there.
"Ahh what just happened?" Chris asked.
"No idea" I said
