“But, for now, since the Alpha wishes you here and has declared you to be the new Luna of this pack, I feel it is only right to lend you the benefit of my experience,” Fya quickly changed the subject and looked me over.

“Once everything is sorted out with the betrayal, and preferably before my grandchild is born, you and my son need to establish a full formal court. The pack has limped by without one since my husband’s death and my return to my original pack.”

“What is a formal court?” I asked.

“Your court will be your representatives in town on everyday affairs and problems the Alpha can not address as they arise. I had five such representatives. They each handled clusters of the Town that included two to three hundred people.”

I looked at Leena and Lilith who both shook their heads to indicate they were not interested.

“Shifters would be better in this case,” Fya suggested.

“Oh. Okay,” I answered.
