" A soulmate is a person who knows you inside out, is aware of your insecurities, fear, and shortcomings and still stays with you. Who loves your soul and knows your soul like the palm of a hand. Whom you like not for their beautiful body but their beautiful soul."
She did not know one thing though...that life takes your exam before it gives you a lesson.
( a girl in her teens wearing a pink hoodie living somewhere in Asia)
"I'm gonna tell him that I like him, I know he likes me too. ", these were the thoughts of that 19-year-old girl who didn't confess her feelings to anyone, decided to share her heart with her soul mate, or maybe the one she thought was her soul mate. And her diary knows everything, it will walk you through the life of a libra ♎ girl who fell in love with a Virgo ♍ boy.
The day she opened up about her feelings was the day she saw them shattering in front of her like glass.
She couldn't believe the fact that he didn't feel the same about her.
Moreover, he was already in a relationship with her childhood friend. She didn't know what to do. Laugh or cry? Life sometimes leaves you speechless.
She didn't blame him. She blamed herself. She blamed herself for collecting the courage and opening her heart out to someone who didn't even think about her once. They say don't fall for someone who isn't there to catch you. And they're not wrong, aren't they?
" I did the stupidest thing in the world. I let myself become a toy in a man's hand and he played with me and then broke me in the end just to feed his ego. Why did I do that? " she asked herself.
" He was my first love, my childhood crush, an infatuation, an attraction that overcame my sense and sensibility and left me nonsense. "
"We have been childhood friends. You moved to another city and stopped visiting. I didn't know what you have been doing there all that time. But I always thought you were lonely, and I wanted to lessen that loneliness. I tried but couldn't. And you know what the worst part is?
In the process of making you less lonely, I made myself more lonely. You were with me but you weren't there with me. You never really opened yourself to me. And I opened myself too early on you. You read me. You read every page of me. Then you tore that pages off me. You crumpled them in your hands. And you left me saying I was the one who hurt you even when it was crystal clear who was hurting who.
That's who you were. You never took the responsibility for your actions. You blame the other person. You lacked honesty and reliability. You were not brave enough to hold yourself accountable for the action you did to others. I trusted you blindly and you proved I was blind. I gave my heart to you, you sucked the blood out of it, ripped it into pieces more than a glass could shatter into, and left without feeling any guilt at all. You were a narcissist, a snob who is egomaniacal, who manipulates people into doing favors to him and then puts the blame on them when he gets caught and can't get himself to apologize. ", she wrote in her diary crying while lying in the dark room.
It's pretty short isn't it, but it isn't actually.
( present scene outside Church )
" So, what can we eat at this hour? " she inquired.
" We have a lot of options," he answered.
" Can we have pasta? " she asked adorably, opening her big eyes and looking like a baby.
" Yes we can," he replied biting a smile.
" Ok, cool, where are we going then? "
" To my apartment. "
" What? "
" Bcoz the best pasta place is near my apartment. "
" Oh, " she looked at his handsome face and resisted the urge to say something stupid in front of a person who she didn't wanna create a conflict with.
" Shall we ?"
" Yes, sure." she followed him. He brought the bike, started it, and gestured for her to ride on it carefully. She sat on the bike, behind him and felt a little unstable, so she put one hand on his shoulder gently, not to touch him a lot but to make sure she was not gonna fall off the bike.
He started and drove off smoothly. The cool refreshing breeze was welcoming them at that hour of the night. Road lights were lighting up the way, and people who loved going on long drives were out there enjoying life.
" It's such a simple pleasure. Just to ride on a bike, move with the air, rise, glide, fly and live like you are never gonna experience this freedom again," she said.
" I have never thought about that in that way, you have a way with words. You play with words like a pianist plays piano. Incredible is all that people can say after hearing it. " he said.
She felt a sense of encouragement while taking that compliment from him.
" Here's our stop", he stopped the bike and they both got off. Standing in front of a medium-sized restaurant, he gestured for her to come.
And he took every step cautiously, to walk with her, and not to walk dominantly but like two people who are equal to each other.
Inside the interior was given a traditional Chinese place vibe. Delicious odors filled the restaurant and compelled them to order everything they could find in Chinese cuisine.
A waiter spot them and led them to a table for two. Handed them the menu. And after taking one look at the menu in front of her. She knew what she wanted to eat.
" Chowmein. Fried rice. And spicy chicken with cashew nuts." she announced.
" What about you? " she asked.
"I think I'll just have corn soup," he replied reluctantly, admiring the appetite of the girl in front of her.
Their order arrived and they ate in silence. What could be more important than food at that moment?
" I can never eat a lot like this. She sure has a big appetite. " he thought after having done with his soup and now looking at her who was finishing her chowmein and then started eating fried rice with gravy on top.
"The food here is amazing I didn't know any food could be this delicious," she said with an upbeat voice.
" Yeah it is," he replied.
" Do you wanna order something else? " he asked politely.
" Something sweet maybe. Can we have ice cream? " she asked adorably.
" Yeah sure, which flavor do you wanna have? "
" Strawberry? "
" Ok, I'll order it then."
He ordered one cup of ice cream for her and one smoothie for him.
She absolutely loved ice cream. Savoring every spoon, she finished it in minutes.
He paid the bill and they got up to return home.
