Reincarnation

The tires of the car screeched while trying to apply the brake but didn't do it on time. And the car hit Violet leaving her unconscious on the floor blood flowing out of her head. Laying there unconscious she saw an orange color floating in front of her eyes. And someone's warm hand touched her cold body, that's the last thing she remembered until she fainted.

She felt like she was floating in the air. There was no ground beneath her. And no sky up on her head. She was in a place above the clouds. Everywhere around her, the clouds were on display. Soft, cushy, and white clouds, she touched them with her bare hands and they felt like cotton. She was stunned. She was puzzled. And she was scared to death.

" Where am I? ", was the first thing that came into her mind.

" Am I in heaven?" she pondered for a moment. "Does that mean I died? " she asked herself.

" You did not die but you are going to" a voice coming from behind confirmed her. And she looked at that person who spoke to her just now. A man in his fifties with elegant grey hair and a book in his hand was standing in front of him gracefully.

" You can not live anymore." Violet's jaw dropped. " This life has ended for you." Violet's eyes went wide with shock.

" This life doesn't serve any purpose to you. You lived a worthless life. Do you want to live this life again?" he inquired strictly.

" What do you mean?" Violet asked him.

" I have a proposal for you. If you want to live you have to sign an agreement with me. In this agreement, it is described that you will live your next life with a high purpose for the greater good, you will be granted the powers, strengths, and energies to protect the good and fight the evil. And you will be given immortality to enjoy the joys of life, live to the fullest and do what you couldn't do in your past life." he graciously clarified to Violet. Violet still looked at him with big eyes and mouth hanging open. He cleared his throat loudly to get her attention. It did not help so he hit her on the head with his pen and she snapped out of it suddenly. Handing her a document he told her that she has to decide.

She has to decide what she wants. What she wants she can have it. She can have a brand new life with a clean slate. And there is nothing to lose. Or was there?

" You have 60 seconds to choose. Your time is running out.

Think about it.

What do you want your future self to have?

What would you give yourself?

Don't you want to give yourself a chance?

Or Do you want to give up on your life?

Living a life with high self-esteem, taking back the power of your own life, standing up for your self and appreciating every moment is the true essence of life. Do you want to live a life worth living?

Choose it, decide it, and have it. It's all yours.

And if you don't choose now. You will die.

And then, in the tenth second with a determined face, Violet decided what she wanted to do.

Why is my hair sticky and wet? What are these people doing? Where are they taking me?

Violet thought while slightly opening her eyes and looking at the staff surrounding her and taking her.

" The patient is in a critical situation, she has lost a lot of blood." a nurse explained to the doctor while pushing the stretcher on Violet.

" Check her vitals and prepare the Operation Theatre. " Doctor ordered the nurse.

" Doctors! Please save my daughter, she is bleeding a lot please save her. " Violet's mother said crying.

" You can take my blood, but please save her." She held back her tears forcefully and said.

They took Violet to the OT. Operation started. Doctors were tense. Nurses were worried. This case was not easy. This was way too complicated than they expected. " What's left there in my life? " Violet thought in those critical moments. " If I die right here what would happen? , Would I be missed? Am I worthy enough to be cherished if I survived? ", she knew the answers to all the questions. Her heartbeat went faster and her blood pressure started dropping.

"The blood is not sufficient." nurses said.

Her eyes flickered.

"She is not gonna make it." the doctor said.

They struggled to put some life into her lifeless body. The doctor did everything they can. And then her hand dropped to her side declaring her death. They couldn't save her.

" I'm sorry, she is no more. " the doctor informed Violet's mother with his head down.

" No", her mother yelled at the doctor. " How could you not save her? You are a doctor. You have to save people. " Violet's mother said crying. " I'm a doctor but I'm not God, Ma'am. God had written that all ready for her. No one wants to die young. But you can't fight fate. You just have to accept it. " the Doctor sympathized with Violet's mother and left. She collapsed on the bench and stared at the wall in front of her. " How could she die like that? , She was too young and healthy and lively. How could she leave like this?", she whispered to herself.

" What happened where is Violet?", Violet's dad came and asked her.

" Why are you not answering me? , Did she....", Violet's dad left the sentence hanging, he wasn't ready to complete it.

They both knew but couldn't say it out loud. Some facts are less painful when not uttered. Life isn't fair.

It never was.

And never will be.

But that's what life is.

Nevertheless, life doesn't happen to us the way we want it to. So when life gives you something make the most out of it. And when life takes something from you, accept that it was written in fate.

( Somewhere in Asia inside a church )

She couldn't breathe, it was suffocating, and then suddenly she felt a heavy weight lifted from her body, she inhaled a sharp breath and deliberately opened her eyes.

The ceiling was white, the light was coming from the right side through a glass window and the sunlight radiates the entire room. There was a painting in front of her, a painting of a sunset. The color orange, yellow, pink, purple, blue, and white were gorgeously painted on that canvas. It was mesmerizing.

" How could something be so attractive yet melancholic at the same time? " she mulled.

" Dusk till dawn" someone came and said to her in a rich voice.

" Huh? " she confusingly looked at the man in front of her who was truly handsome with grey eyes.

" The name of the painting you were looking at," he told her simply.

" Oh. " she made an evident O with her mouth.

" By the way who are you? well, that's not the important question right now, important question is who am I? Where am I? How do you know me? and how did I get here? " she asked those questions in one breath.

" As for your first question, the answer is that I'm a physician who comes here every month to check on some patients. And as for your second question, you are an angelic spirit sent here. As for the other questions you are in a church, and I don't know you either and you were found by the father of our church and he took you here and let you stay here to get your treatment."

" I don't understand a thing you said "She got up from bed and stood.

" Why can't I remember anything? " she talked out loud to herself.

" But what do you mean I was sent here? " she looked at him and came closer to analyze anything in his expression but there was nothing. His expressions were flat.

" I'm forgetting something important. Who am I? When did I lose my memories? "she started pacing in the room hurriedly.

" How did I lose my memories? " she looked at him with pleading eyes.

"What's happening here? " she felt a rush of blood in her head, her heart beating rapidly and the room went dark in front of her eyes. She fell like a broken tree branch nevertheless some strong hands held her and caught her in time. Carrying her to the bed and slowly put her head on the pillow. Her eyes were surrounded by dark circles and her pale skin was lacking energy.

" She couldn't hold it in this situation. Her body is still not ready for it," he whispered to himself. Touching her delicate skin and tracing her cheekbones he left a warmth on her body and left the room without looking back.
