Chapter 41

Next day as I wake up, I feel this stupid heavy pain in my head and why should not I feel it because my mind keep on working in my sleep too, what all it thinks about is Ani, Vicz, their stupidity and the mistakes they have done in the name of love. This time I don't have any nightmare or dreams about it, I guess one of the main reason for is this that, I never fall in deep sleep for the entire night though I took some short naps.

However, ignoring all this I got up from the bed and perform my daily routine, once I got ready I leave for my morning practice like usual. After reaching there, practice started, we all doing it though it seems like all of them are not in the mood to keep the practice going on and to be honest I am also not in the mood to do it because all I want to do is to hide in a corner or sit close to the nature.

Soon practice got over I go inside the changing room to change the dirty clothes, get myself fresh and while doing so one of the team mate come inside, told me that Erik is waiting for me. After listening to it I just nod my head in affirmation, in hope that she must have understood it. However after getting fresh I move out of the room, walk where Erik is standing and as soon as we have the the eye contact he smiled and I smiled back too, though I know this smile is faked or my the closed lip smile.

After this nonverbal greeting of us we both start walking in the direction of the school canteen, while walking as usual he hold my hand and I hold it back, I guess now I am getting used to his touch, though its only limited to just hugs and hand holdings but I guess its fine like this way only. In some time we reach in front of the school canteen but before I could step in the canteen, my phone ring out and without seeing who is calling, I answer the call,

Siya: Hello

Vicz: Hey, can you come at the school garden now?

Siya: Yeah, is everything alright?

Vicz: Yeah, everything is fine but you just come here then we will talk about it and yeah don't worry about your breakfast because mother packed it for you too.

Siya: Cool, I am coming.

As soon as the call ended I looked at Erik, with one eyebrow raised he is looking at me and his eyes as well as has those expressions which is full of curiosity plus confusion as if he wants to know what suddenly happened that I have to go and where I have to go. So, I start speaking,

Siya: Hey, I am sorry but I have to leave because one of my friend want to meet me know.

Erik: But what about your breakfast?

Siya: Umm friend has actually planned up for that too, see you in the class.

Erik: Okay.

After saying I start walking in the direction of the park but not before looking at his face and eyes, which got a bit dull when I told him about leaving, though he covered it with a closed lip smile quickly. I feel upset because, I like to make happy but seeing them dull because of me, this makes me feel upset. However, for now I am going to ignore all of this because I am going to focus on Vicz only because she is like a sister to me and I am going to just be with her.

As soon as I reach at the park, I found Vicz sitting on the grass under the tree and looking at ducks roaming here and there, though this scene in front of my eyes look peaceful but don't know why seeing her increased my anger, frustration and irritation too. All I am remembering is, how she told me about her deeds, that electrocuted thing and right know I don't need any of these negative emotions because I am here to be with her so, thinking of all this I took a deep breath and move towards her with a small smile on my face.

Once I am beside her, I sit down then only she look at me and we both smiled at each other, then we both start looking at those ducks. After some minutes, I feel her nudging her elbow at the side my stomach so, I look at her and there she passed me my packed breakfast, which I gladly accepted with a grin on my face. While I start eating it happily, Vicz let out a light chuckle at me and initiated the conversation,

Vicz: (Smiling) you know I have never seen someone who eats with so much of happiness.

Siya: (Gulping my morsel and with smile) Umm I just love to eat, especially when its my favorite food and now one more reason that added, is that your mother cooked and send it for me.

Vicz: (while nodding her head and smiling) Yeah yeah and my mother also adore you so much, sometimes I really feel she love you more than me also.

Siya: (After gulping the last bite of my food) O common don't be jealous, it just that I am too good at wining people hearts.

Vicz: You (She start hitting me playfully)

Soon this turn into playful hitting plus tickling too, I fall on the grass she is literally over me hitting and tickling me. While doing so, we two are laughing out whole heartedly. After some time we both are laying in the garden, looking at sky and lightly chuckling, moreover Vicz is looking at sky but I start looking at her. And believe me this smiling face of her right now, is looking so much peaceful that I keep admiring her, though her voice break my trance,

Vicz: Thank you for making laugh and smile, I needed it.

Siya: (Smirking) O common now you are going to thank me?

Vicz: (Irritated) Huhh common stop doing this.

Siya: (Raised both of my hands in air) Okay.

Vicz: (Sitting up and getting serious again) Look, I know hearing me doing such a horrible thing plus you have seen injuries on my body too, might have upset you and because it brings backs the memory of Ani too.

Siya: (Sitting up too, getting serious but not looking at her especially directly in her eyes) Umm see what ever happened with Ani hurt and disturbed me a lot, because I have lost her friendship, her company and her as a person who is supposed to be too much dear to me. However when I listen to you doing such a horrible thing infuriated me a lot.

(I took a deep breathe and start speaking again) Look I care for you but seeing your hurt, sad and injured this frustrated me and I reacted in a cold way. I am sorry if this hurt you.

Vicz: (With a deep sigh) Okay. Now I can see why Ani used to say you have difficult in expressing your feeling because your face look emotionless, heart beating like a wild drum and not even for once you look at me, directly in my eyes.

Siya: (Still not looking at her but somewhat embarrassed) Umm okay.

As soon as I said all those things, tried to run away from this situation and for this I stand up in hurry, pick up my bag but before I could move away or take any step further away from, she hold my wrist and initiated the conversation.

Vicz: Hey hey, I am not making fun of you or teasing you, I like you for who you are and I respect you that way only. Please, don't feel embarrass or do overthinking on this.

Siya: (Though internally, I am start feeling frustration or anger in me, happiness, glad and overall I am feeling embarrassed to for saying some of my feelings. My eyes getting a bit watery, lips trembling, shit I am just fed up of these jumble up emotions because it makes me cry) Okay.

Listening to this Vicz released my wrist, she also get up, together we start moving for our classes and thankfully neither she speak anything nor I, we just move towards our destination in silence. Once I reach to my class which is with Ketty and Zoe, I am a bit relaxed because they will make me smile, though today also I sit between them but my head is headed down only and I am pretending to focus in studying only.

However, when the class got over neither Ketty nor Zoe stood up and because of them I remain seated too. I look up at them, give them my best innocent look with those puppy dog eyes and smile, but they both keep looking at me with their hands folded on their chest, their eyes have those curious plus confusion look. However, soon Ketty tried to say something but one look from Zoe, force her to shut her mouth.

Zoe: Shut it Ketty, let her be and whenever she will feel ready to share, then se will be speak up. Till then you are not going to force or say anything to her.

Ketty: (With teasing look in her eyes and smirking) Some one is being a mumma bear.

At this statement me and Ketty start laughing but what surprised plus make us laugh more is the expressions of her face, her jaw open wide, eyes wide in shock and the most cutest thing is that, her ear turned in to a shade of red color. To this I initiated the conversation,

Siya: (Tilting my head a bit left side and with admiring expressions) Awww someone is shocked as well as blushing.

To this together we both (as in Ketty and me) make a verbal sound of "Awwww" and Zoe hung her head in low but to this Ketty get from the seat and just hug her tight, I smiled looking at them admiringly. While doing so, a thought pop up in my mind,

Siya: (Inside of my mind, Is it so easy to hug anyone? Is it okay to hug someone or touch someone, I mean won't other person will feel angry or sad, I remember my granny and aunt reaction on this. Would I ever be able to initiate a hug or hug someone when they hug me, I wish I could have Ani near me then may be she could teach me all these things).

However, my internal conversation get a full stop, when Ketty directly speak to me,

Ketty: Hey Siya! are you okay? You seems to be lost somewhere, what happened?

Siya: Nothings just thinking about hot chocolate. Come lets go to canteen, we will pick it up our drinks then go for our class okay?

They two nodded their head in affirmation, with this we trio start moving in the direction of the canteen. Soon, we reach at the canteen then order our drinks and lastly we pick up them then, move towards for our next classes and unfortunately, I have this class with Erik. When I am just a step or two away from the class to enter in it, I found teacher is some more step away from the class as well as me so, I hurriedly enter in the class and sit at my seat which is beside Erik as usual.

Once I got settled I hid my hot chocolate drink under the desk, here I just notice Erik is doing the same but I can see he is drinking alcohol because of the smell coming from the drink as well as from near him. I look up at him, he smiled at me and I do same to him too, soon he cheers his drink with me and I simply nodded my head in recognition at him. As teacher entered in the class, she start teaching but here I guess neither he nor me concentrated on studying we just enjoying our drinks, somewhere lost in our own thought and sometimes this silence really feels very peaceful.

Once the class got over, students start leaving the room, we remain seated and when we have almost whole the room empty, Erik initiated the conversation,

Erik: (Drunk voice) Is it not easy to get a good girl friend, in today's time? Can loving someone dearly is that much difficult? Why my parents never loved each other?

Siya: (Thinking for sometime with emotion less face) I guess love too comes with limitations.

Erik: I hope one day I would find someone who will love me unconditionally.

Siya: Hope so. Come lets go to our next class.

After saying this I stand up, start walking in the direction of the door and I can feel him walking just behind me. We walked for our different classes, just like this the school timing got over, without any further problems and serious discussions. However, once I walked out of the school, rather than taking cab from the gate only I choose to walk for some distance, in the direction of my house.

When I am near the bus stop which is just a kilometer away from the school, I saw Anji sitting there on one of the bench her face look so pale, her eyes hold fear and confusion. Seeing this I couldn't stop my self from going close to her, sit beside her and I pretended like as if I am waiting for bus too, because initiating a conversation is something which I rarely do and I also know she will notice my presence soon. Like I said, it takes her almost ten minutes to notice my presence, she then initiated the conversation,

Anji: (Low voice) Hey

Siya: (Pretending to be surprise) O hii hey, are you waiting for bus too?

Anji: (Shaking her head in denial) No.

Siya: Ohh, Umm are you okay? From face its looking like you are going to pass away soon.

Anji: (Almost crying voice) No I am not okay, it just.... (she trailed off...)

Siya: (Concern and understanding voice) Hey, its okay if you don't want to talk, just relax your self and take a deep breath.

Anji (Took few deep breaths, then start looking straight) Umm a guy is calling me repeatedly even though I told him not too, he is also forcing me to say I love you but I refused to say it because I don't love him. I don't know what to do.

Siya: Hmm okay

After this we both get silent for I guess five to seven minutes, then an idea pop up in my mind so, I speak up,

Siya: I got an idea, you just have to trust me, follow and support me okay? And yeah just give your phone to me. Come lets go.

With this she give her phone to me then we start walking ahead of the bus stop, we walked for fifteen minutes then reach to our destination this police station. Seeing a police station Anji got nervous and shocked too, she interlaced her arm with mine and I let her to do it,

Siya: (Whispering to her) Hey just trust me, I am here for you and nothing will happen to you okay?

She nodded her head in affirmation, then I go to their help desk and their a male police officer is sitting. Once I go stand and stand in front of the table, he looked at me and Anji with a warm smile and initiated the conversation,

Police Officer (PO): Tell me girls what happened?

Siya: (Confidently) Sir I want to file a complaint against a phone number, the guy is harassing me by calling me repeatedly from two months.

PO: Okay, tell me the number and you don't have to worry neither your name nor your friends name will be used in this problem.

And we give that guys number to the police officer, here he put the complaint under the women helpline and with the final words that our name, phone numbers and house address will not be leaked plus we won't be getting any future calls from that number. Saying this we come back to bus stop, Anji start waiting for the bus and I book my cab, while waiting Anji started speaking,

Anji: Siya thank you because of you I am feeling relaxed and safe but how do you know this will work?

Siya: You are welcome, helping you is my pleasure and I guess I keep reading different kinds of books so, that idea come from there.

Anji: That's great.

Before, anyone of us could speak anything else, the bus come plus cab come too so, we bid our good byes to each other and leave for our respective homes. Once I reached home, nothing eventful happened so, I studied something related to my course, then after dinner I got tired and called it a night.
