CHAPTER 45:THIRD WHEEL

"big sister are you ready?" Lucy asked excitedly as she opened the door to Mia's room who was just about to out in her jacket. She smiled at Lucy who admired her. She felt lucky to have her around. Lucy was used to having her brothers around and always wanted a sister-in-law in the house

They both left Mia's room while making their way downstairs,Mia had packed her hair in a pony tail and she noticed how much lived to go shopping mostly to try new things. Usually she would always go out with Hannah,but being Ryan's girlfriend and also working under him including spending time with Lucy made less time for her to spend with Hannah and she knew the latter doesn't mind as they would chat for a long time before going to sleep.

The driver had been prepared for both of them and it was quiet evident that Lucy had arranged for the driver herself. They both got in the car as the driver drove straight to the mall. They soon arrived in front of a huge building

Mia was starting to get use to going to high class malls and other places.

Lucy pulled her in as if in a hurry when she isn't at all. As they entered neither if them new where to start. It wasn't the first time Lucy had been there. They had just come there without knowing what to buy but then it was Lucy's plan to go shopping so Mia didn't feel like she needed anything since she wasn't done with the ones Ryan had got her.

Mia looked around to find some people's eyes in them and couldn't understand why.

"don't worry it has to do with yesterday's party and what happened"Lucy explained

It was only yesterday and she felt like all attention was on her. Well it won't be surprising since reporters are present there. Mia felt someone pull her and Lucy lead her to another place where she picked out a few clothes asking Mia the one that suits her the most.

"are you not buying anything?"Lucy asked noticing that Mia hadn't chosen anything since they arrived

"I didn't have much to buy"

"but you can at least shop a few" Lucy pouted her lips

Mia didn't want to do nothing since she had accompany her so she took her time in choosing things she needed.

They soon finish shopping before making way to the car "to the office"Mia was the one who spoke. They had both decided to go to the office after shopping.

It didn't take long for them to arrive and they walked towards the elevator that lead them to the top floor where Ryan was.

Mia pushed the door to the office when she noticed that Ryan was not alone. She saw Alex there standing beside him. The latter was also surprised to see her there as they haven't seen each other for a long time. Mia had a hunch about Alex and Ryan knowing each other with the way Alexa and Lucy acted familiar the other day .

She felt delighted to see him there and Lucy was also not expecting Alex to be there.

"hey Mia what you doing here?"Alex asked with a smile on his face

"I-i"Mia started not knowing what to say of course what was she doing in a CEOs office,she didn't know what to say especially with Ryan watching her.

"she is my girlfriend,why else would she be here?"Ryan spoke and Alex almost choked on his own saliva. He felt Ryan he heard the wrong thing

"was he dreaming?"

"huh"

"you heard me"Ryan said .

Alex looked between Ryan and Mia and the latter didn't seem to deny it.

"you didn't tell me you were dating"

"I'm sorry" Mia said

"wait have you told him about me before?"he asked to Mia

"if course not I saw her with Alexa a few days ago so of course she would know you"Ryan said and Alex scratched the back if his neck

"but seriously you two are dating"he still couldn't believe,it felt like dream come true. Two off his friends are in a relationship .Lucy in the other hand was very happy to see alex,she had always had a crush him for along time and she wondered if it had grown to become love.

Mia noticed Lucy's expression as she watched Alex and had a hint if what was going on.

"how long have you guys been together?' Mia heard Alex say to Ryan who simply said"can we do what you came here for"Ryan tried changing the topic

"ok but tell me if you've kissed please"he begged since he was beyond happy.

Hearing that,Mia felt her heart skipped a beat as what happened the other night flashed in her memory,she felt a wave if emotions in her that she couldn't describe. Now thinking about it made her remember the texture of Ryan's s lips on hers. She shook her head realising what she was thinking"no one should know what she was thinking about"

Alex received a glare as an answer to the question he asked and he suddenly got serious. Mia wasn't use Alex being serious since he was mostly cheerful most if the time but then it's about business. Lucy and Mia spent a few hours at Ryan's office with Alex still there, soon Lucy fell asleep on Mia's shoulder.

Mia would pay attention to both Ryan and Alex as they discuss. Her eyes would move to look at Ryan possibly to admire him but she ended up getting caught but he only smiled sweetly at her and Alex felt like the third wheel who was getting in the way.

Soon it was evening,Ryan had Alex drop Lucy off at home,the latter was tired and wanted to sleep more.

"aren't we going home"Mia asked noticing that Ryan was all done with his work.

"we are having dinner together but not at home"he explained"I'm sure it won't be a problem"he added

"no it won't"
