CHAPTER 46: HERE

On their way out Mia noticed savannah who was just about to leave,she could seé that the latter noticed them but continued to go her way.Somewhere she knew savannah didn't like her , perhaps because of her relationship with Ryan . Mia assumed that she had feelings for Ryan. Being Ryan's only female friend and from high school at that,Ryan was never close with her.

Mia hoped to avoid any misunderstanding in the future. Savannah had not displayed her dislikes towards Mia and the latter was somewhat relieved about that. She wasn't sure if savannah had feelings for Ryan but she was sure that savannah was surprised when Ryan announced her as his girlfriend. She couldn't blame her for that kind of reaction

Somewhere Mia noticed savannah not looking jealous or envy but she couldn't describe the feeling that was in her eye each them savannah sees them together but it wasn't pain.

Ryan opened the door for Mia as they both sat at the backseat while the driver drove to their destination.

"why can't we have dinner at home?"Mia asked her eyes filled with curiosity.

"you've been spending most of your time staying inside" he said

"a little fresh air shouldn't be bad, so I want you to have dinner first"he added

", does that mean we are going somewhere else?"Mia asked again to see him nod in confirmation.

They soon arrived in front of a huge restaurant. Ryan held her hand as they both went in. They had both gotten closer over the time and the more they spent more time together,she saw more sides of Ryan. Ryan had booked the entire restaurant but unlike the first time ,this one was more decorated and outstanding and Mia felt she was having a candlelight dinner with Ryan. He pulled out the chair for Mia as he went around to seat opposite her. The dishes were soon served neatly on the table with Mia constantly looking at Ryan who smiled at her

Once the food was served,it felt silent Mia looked around to see the waiters are not even close by. No noise see coming from the others side of the room"let's eat" she heard Ryan say and she took her fork and chewed slowly. She felt someone looking at her but when she looked up ,Ryan was focused on his food.

"maybe she was imagining things"she thought to her self.

After a while and Mia felt somewhat full,she felt something move on the table and noticed Ryan had pushed a file on towards her. She starightend up , looking at him in confusion"this couldn't be another contract"

Putting aside the fork she looked at the file and reading through it,she saw him put a few more files on the table and decided to read them one after the other. The one on her hands contained all the information there is about her father's company,it was a successful business one among the top

She remembered going to various business party along with her mom and dad. Not many knows about the company now as it was regarded as old news. She picked another one of the files and saw it was a will.

"her dad had a will" she couldn't believe it,all the years she has thought they had stolen everything that belonged to her and there was nothing left for her and her mum. However,her dad transferred all his fortune in her own name,she never knew her dad had this much. Everything including the company belongs to her."but why do the Smith's have access to it.

As if reading her mind Ryan said"they couldn't get their hands on the will don't your dad's lawyer refused to give it but somehow,your dad got tricked in to transferring the company in to the Smith's but they couldn't get their hands in the rest before he passed away. To make things more convincing for others they made a fake will stating that everything your dad ever owned belongs to them"he carefully explained . He was wondering if he had revealed it to her at the wrong time but Mia didn't break down her expression remained normal and she looked more determined than ever.

"what's this?"she asked taking the last file.

"your mum's medical reports, she's doing better now"he said and noticed her smile.

He found her even more beautiful with a smile on her face. They both left the restaurant and went towards the car as the car drove to another destination that Mia wondered where.

Ryan suddenly asked the driver to stop"is anything wrong?"Mia asked

"nothing"Ryan replied and went around to open the door for her. They walked to a particular direction,it was breezy and cool ,she saw candles arranged in a particular order as they walked along the path..

Ryan felt like the perfect boyfriend that anyone could wish for. They arrived at meadow was decorated neatly above the night sky,the light wasn't bright but perfect for seeing. Ahead was a display of multiple colors and fire works. Mia smiled excitedly as she breath in the air while closing her eyes. At the moment she was acting like a child and she ran ahead spinning around. It's been a long time since she enjoyed this kind of view and it was all thanks to Ryan.

He could hear her childish giggle

They both sat down with drinks in their hand ,Mia looked up at the sky with a smile on her face when all of a sudden her expression changed and she turned to face Ryan."what is it?"he asked

Mia looked hesitant at first but soon said"do you think my father's death have something to do with them?"

Ryan wasn't expecting her to ask that question. Mia had been thinking about it for a while,her mum could have died thanks go them and it could also been them who was behind her father's death

"you never know"Ryan simply said with Mia nodding

"it's not nice keeping your past inside you alone,you can share it with me"

Mia knew that this was Ryan's way of saying that he was here for her and she appreciates that. She felt her self being drawn towards Ryan and gave him a sweet smile while taking a sip of the drink in her hand.

"let's go,it's getting late"Ryan said and Mia tried getting up but felt her leg was numb,she had been seating in that position for a long time and if not for Ryan helping her up she would have most likely fallen down. She looked at his lips , remembering what happened the previous night. For some reason she still couldn't get it out of her head and part if her wanted it to happen again
