CHAPTER 57:

Her yes snapped open but she didn't move ,only staring at the window that was far aside. The place looked messy but she didn't seem to care,it's confusing, something is wrong here but what's that,no telling. She exhaled aloud breath,to turn her head to the other side. Her mind threatening to go back to dream to dream Land when she suddenly sprang up. The desk making a screeching sound with a few papers flying around.

Papers were on the desk disorganization,with few lying around on the floor. Scratching the back of her neck she let out another breath. Lazily putting the papers in place to reduce the mess. She went towards the waste bin,balls of papers were dumped it before adding another bunch. Hands on her waist,eyes scanning the room ,it was better now, nothin was out of place the desk was properly arranged. She left the room with a satisfying smile ,her trouser touching the floor that could make one fall if not careful. She opened another door before taking the towel that was neatly placed on the bed Which was well neat since no one slept on it the previous night.

A while later,she came out of the bathroom with a robe around her body. She moved to the walk-in closet where sets of closed laid. Her eyes scanned the the clothes before taking a casual jeans and top and putting it on before skipping out of the room. Her bare feet against the cold floor as she walks down the stairs.

She looked around with every step she took before spotting someone on the couch.

With relief she skipped towards the couch before she lazily slumped on it with her head on the person's lap Her soft hands moved across Mia's hair,her gaze focused on the tv in front of her. Mia had ear buds on so she couldn't hear anything but her eyes was owed whilst enjoying the soft touch of her mum. Her hands moved to remove the ear buds .

She looked up at her mum to see the woman being focused on the tv. With one brow raised,her eyes traced towards the tv that was displaying a journalist,her mouth seems to be moving, of course she's a journalist so definitely saying the news. Curious she sat up paying close attention to the news.

"The hottest topic that every body is talking about as we all know is the TLM DESIGN . They have only been up for a month and they are almost on top of the business world but of course we all know the number one company the GARCIA'S but there are also question that TLM might surpass the GARCIA'S well let's wait and see .

"Ryan Ryan Ryan" Matt said panting "what , speak slowly " Ryan replied still focused on the documents " o.. on the tele..tele..vision " Ryan picked up the remote that was on the left side ending of his table and put on the television " there are also questions that TLM might surpass the GARCIA'S so let's wait and see well for now the ceo of TLM is still anonymous for now I guess "

"is this what you wanted to show me?"he asked Matt who nodded like a child at the same time puzzled. He smiled ,his eyes going through the files again. He couldn't believe this was why Matt kept calling him. Matt was close to him, though he never expressed it or show it even when Mia was still around. He acted like a through assistant and not a friend.

He confusedly look at Ryan who didn't look concern of anything. "you know that lad has developed in such a short while, what if she...? he paused as he glanced at Ryan

Of course that wasn't going to happen,he wouldn't let anyone surpass him not even the little lad.He shouldn't be worried as Ryan has always handled everything. it's been a month,and they haven't come across Mia at all. Now she's growing fast ,being independent. Even though there was nothing connecting them, deep down he felt proud of her. Not everyone could single handedly grow a business in such a short time.

She had before called to thank him the day she left his mansion. He had felt her absence,it wasn't the same when she was still living with him. He was glad she was fine and living happily with her mum.

A month ago he had sent Lucy back to her parents,he didn't want her to know about the kind of relationship he shared with Mia. Her parents had been keeping her with them all the while Jason found out about the contract and so did his grandfather. Bother surprised at the revelation,Jason has already considered Mia has a true girlfriend regardless of the contract,she was still the first girl Ryan got this close too .

Grandpa on the other hand couldn't tolerate what was going on. He was starting to fall for Ryan's little tricks when he found out

The glare could kill anyone at the moment,his intelligent eyes staring down at his grandson as he sat down. Ryan stared back, neither mentioning a single word or making a single sound. His fist tightened, venting his anger.

"you should calm down"Ryan spoke looking at his grandfather who was raging mad.

"you should have thought of that before playing games with me"the old man said,no response came from Ryan who stood with a clam expression. The old man looked like he was interogating him for a crime. He had developed a sift spot for Mia even fully considering her as his grandson's girlfriend.

"regardless ,I still proved that I can get close to a woman,Mia and I might have done nothing but I'm sure I proved a point,you can see it as simply returning a favor"he paused for a while

"you should rest"Ryan added before exiting the room.

He was in deep thought,he hadn't been in touch with Mia for the past one month,he wondered how she is now

"she may be a little different" He wanted to see her ,her cheerful face and everything. He sighed.
