Episode 24 - Fast Enough

Everyone was in the Cortex and Barry was looking at his suit. He then turns and leaves and takes the elevator down to the pipeline. It was time he confronted the man that killed his mother. It was time to have a little chat with the Reverse Flash. "What? No Big Belly Burger? It's one of the few perks of living in this time. We're out of cows where I come from. You don't care about that. You have questions. Go ahead." Eobard said.

"Not sure where to start... Thawne. That is your real name... Eobard Thawne." Barry replied.

"Since the day I was born." Eobard smiles.

"And when was that?" Barry asked.

"136 years from now. That's not what you want to know. Go ahead, Barry. Ask it." Eobard answered.

"Why did you kill my mother?" Barry questioned.

"Because I hate you. Not you now. You years from now." Eobard told him.

"In the future." Barry said.

"In a future. Yes." Eobard agrees. "We're enemies, rivals, opposites, reverses of one another."

"Why? Wh-why were we enemies?" Barry asked.

"Because, my goddess chose you over me." Eobard growls.

"Your goddess. You mean Atchaco." Barry realises.

"Yes, Macanese." Eobard agreed. "I am way faster than you, better than you. Better for Lady Macanese, I should be her successor. But she chose you to be her Lord. She always chooses you. But it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter anymore. What matters is that neither of us was strong enough to defeat the other. Until I learned your secrets. I learned your names. Barry Allen. Atchaco Cornwall. And finally, I knew how to defeat you Barry once and for all. Travel back in time, kill you as a child. Wipe you from the face of the earth. But then you, future you, that is, followed me back, and we fought. We both landed some pretty solid shots. And then Macanese, future Macanese showed up, got your younger self out of there. I was so mad. But then I thought... What if you were to suffer a tragedy? What if you were to suffer something so horrible, so traumatic that your child self could never recover? Then you would not become The Flash. And so I stabbed your mother in the heart, and I was free. Finally able to return to a future without The Flash, only to realise that in travelling back I'd lost my way home. Lost my ability to harness the speed force. And without it, I was stuck here. Stranded in this time, unable to return to my own. And the only way back was The Flash. But The Flash was gone, and so I created him. And as a bonus, I made my own god Thunder as well."

"Why do you always call Atchaco, Macanese?" Barry wondered.

"I am part of the religion that follows her, the cyberzorinan religion. We all call her by her title." Eobard said.

"Okay. But why train us? Why help us save so many people?" Barry asked.

"Because I needed one of you to get fast. Fast enough to rupture the space-time barrier and create a stable wormhole through which I could return home." Eobard told him.

"Why would I ever do that?" Barry questioned.

"Because... Barry Allen, if you give me what I want, I'm gonna give you what you want. You can go back and save your mother. You can prevent your father from going to prison. You can reunite the Allen family." Eobard explained.

"No." Barry shakes his head. "No, I don't believe you." Barry then slams his fist on the glass of Eobard's cell. "I want to kill you right now."

"I know that rage. I used to feel that rage every time I looked upon you. And now, somehow, I know what Joe and Henry feel when they look on you with pride. With love." Eobard admits.

"No. No. Don't you ever say that to me!" Barry yelled.

"I know you're upset, but I'm giving you a chance. I'm giving you a chance to undo all the evil I've done. Don't you want that chance?" Eobard wonders. Barry glares at Eobard before he turns and closes the door, leaving the pipeline.

Minutes later in the Cortex, Barry has told everyone what Eobard had told him. "The rare opportunity to go back in time and right a wrong and save your mother's life... quite the paradox Harrison has presented you with, Mr. Allen." Stein said.

"The chance to be with someone you love? Seems pretty cut and dry to me." Caitlin replied.

"At first blush, Dr. Snow, it would appear so, but this gift has unparalleled risk. Barry, the night your mother died, the night future Atchaco saved yourself from being killed, that event altered the timeline you were already on and changed the course of history." Stein reminds him.

"So what you're saying is we're living in a parallel universe?" Cisco questions.

"Just like when I time travelled before." Barry admitted.

"But he... he only changed one day that time." Joe reminds them.

"Exactly." Stein agreed. "Now imagine 15 years of compounded experiences. One different decision, no matter how big or small, impacts everything that follows. Moments upon moments, choices upon choices. No relationships, nothing would be as it is today, and you'd never know the difference because you'd never remember any of it."

"So if I go back and save my mum, my dad doesn't go to prison. I never live with Joe and Iris." Barry realises.

"I may have become Lady Macanese but I might have not become Thunder, maybe I would never even meet you." Atchaco said.

"You might never meet me. Or Caitlin or Ronnie." Cisco continued.

"Truth is, there's no real way of knowing what your life will be." Stein tells him.

"There's no choice here, Barry. You have to do this. You gotta change the past." Joe said, grabbing his jacket and walking out.

Seconds later, Barry runs up to Joe in the hallway. "Joe? So what... What, that's it? You think I should just do it?" Barry pondered.

"Yeah, I do." Joe said.

"Which means I will never come to live with you, and... you're okay with that?" Barry wondered.

"Barry, you get the chance to grow up with both parents. You don't have to grow up without a mother." Joe answered.

"What about growing up without a father?" Barry asked.

"You will have a father... your real father." Joe reminds him. "Wells has messed with our lives long enough. This is why you became The Flash and Atchaco became Thunder. To put things right. You both saved a lot of people's lives this past year. Now it's time to save yours."

Later, Barry goes to see his dad at Iron Heights and he tells him everything. "Dad, look. I know this sounds crazy." Barry said.

"I think we're way past crazy, slugger. Look, you're fast, I get it. But turning back time…" Henry tries to say.

"No, I wouldn't be turning time back. I would be... going back to that night to save her." Barry corrects him.

"And what does Joe think about all this?" Henry asked.

"He thinks I should do it." Barry chuckles softly.

"No. You can't." Henry said.

"Dad... I can make it so that night will never have happened. We'll be a family again." Barry reminds him.

"We are a family." Henry replies.

"Not like this. Not without Mum." Barry said.

"Barry, there's a natural order to things, okay? Things happen the way they do. We may not know why at the time, but there must always be a reason. Now, I believe that. I've had to believe it." Henry told him.

"I... I can save Mom." Barry cried.

"At what cost? You said time would change. What if it changes you?" Henry questions him.

"I don't care." Barry admitted.

"I do." Henry replied. "I am in awe of the remarkable man that you are becoming... all the things you've achieved, and not just as The Flash, but you, Barry. Your honesty. Your heart. You were always a hero. And your mom would be just as proud. And if she had a say in this, if she thought for one second that you going back to save her would mean you losing what makes you so special, she would never want that." Barry cries. "Barry, what I hope for you, maybe the greatest thing that a father can hope for his son is that one day, you will become a father yourself. And then you will know... How much I truly love you."

Back at STAR Labs, Caitlin was checking on Ronnie. The thermometer beeps and she takes it out of his ear. "98.6. Normal." Caitlin said.

"I don't even know what that word means anymore." Ronnie admits.

"Me neither. I know Barry and Atchcaco really appreciate you coming back to help them stop Wells." Caitlin told him.

"That's not the only reason I'm back, Cait. I'm here now. For good." Ronnie reassures her.

"But I thought…" Caitlin tried to say.

"I thought too... I thought too much about what might happen if the government tracked us down. If we couldn't control our powers and we hurt someone. If we hurt you. But I realised that although sometimes I'm more than one man, I'm not whole unless I'm with you. I love you, Cait." Ronnie told her and they gave each other a quick kiss.

"Are you sure?" Caitlin asked.

"I am. Once upon a time and a Particle Accelerator or so ago, you agreed to marry me." Ronnie reminded her.

"Yes, I did." Caitlin smiled.

"What do you say we do that?" Ronnie wonders. Caitlin nods as they kiss again.

Late at night, Barry was on the rooftop of Jitters. "Thought I might find you here." Atchaco said.

Barry turns around and looks at Atchaco. "I needed to get out of the lab. I thought this would be a good place to think." Barry admits.

"Oh, it is. Trust me." Atchaco smiles. "I've done a lot of thinking up here. When you and Iris weren't having clandestine meetings with the mysterious 'streak.'" They both chuckle.

"Yeah, not mad we lost that name." Barry said.

"Hey, in Iris's defence, she thought that had pzazz." Atchaco replied.

"No. Uh-uh." Barry humed.

"So are you gonna do it?" Atchaco wonders.

"It's just so...huge. It's the biggest decision of my life, and if I'm wrong, I can't undo it." Barry said.

"I know, trust me I know the weight you carry." Atchaco said. "The thought of the whole decision on how the multiverse plays out on your shoulders. I am the goddess of the multiverse afterall, but this time that decision is not up to me, but to you. I mean, you'd get to see your mom again, your dad, have a great career, even get married." Barry stares at her. "You know, we never really talked about me becoming Atchaco Allen. I never really thought of myself as a hyphenator."

"We don't know that that's going to happen." Barry reminded her.

"Do you think that because you didn't live with us, that's why things are different there?" Atchaco wonders.

"Growing up with Iris and then you coming over all the time... knowing so much about each other... it made it hard for me to admit how I felt about you. And I waited too long, and I thought I was going to be too late. But living with Iris and Joe... I've had a great life, Atchaco." Barry admits.

"Come here, Barry." Atchaco says, her eyes watery. And then they both hug and kiss each other. They both had tears running down their faces as they stood embraced in each other's arms.

"What do you think I should do? I need someone to tell me." Barry said as they pulled out of the hug.

"I think... that for once in your life, Barry Allen, you should stop thinking about other people. I think you should do what's in your heart. Do what you need to do for yourself." Atchaco advised.

Back at STAR Labs, Barry walks into the pipeline and opens the door leading to Eobard cells. Eobard was eating some Big Belly Burger as he stood in his cell. "Ah! Well, if it makes you feel any better, it took you a whole hour longer to decide than I thought it would." Eobard admitted.

"So how does this work? Your grand plan?" Barry asked.

"Well, it's really not that grand at all, Barry. In fact, it's rather simple. We use the Particle Accelerator." Eobard told him.

"The Particle Accelerator." Barry laughed softly. "The last time that happened, you caused an explosion that hurt a lot of people."

"This time, the accelerator will operate exactly the way it was designed to." Eobard told him. "Except, instead of two particles moving in opposite directions, colliding at the speed of light in the inner ring, we're only going to inject one particle into the accelerator."

"And I'm what it collides with." Barry realises.

"You or Macanese. But knowing you, you will not let her anywhere near this. So, if you can go fast enough, Barry, if you can hit that particle with enough speed, you will punch a hole right through the fabric of reality. And you will create a portal connecting this time to infinite times." Eobard explains.

"A wormhole." Barry points out.

"Through which one might travel back to the past, say, to the night your mother died or forward to the future, to, say, my time." Eobard continued.

"You said if I run fast enough. What happens if I don't?" Barry questions.

"If you don't achieve the desired velocity barrier, you'll die." Eobard answers.

Later in the morning, everyone is in the Cortex. "According to Wells' calculations, Barry super-speeds inside the accelerator ring. Once Barry reaches optimum speed, we then launch a hydrogen proton into the accelerator. Once the collision happens, a wormhole forms, opening a gateway into time itself. It's at that moment I plan on shouting something along the lines of 'Eureka' or possibly 'Excelsior.' I'm uncommitted." Stein said.

"What do you think?" Barry asked as he turned to Cisco.

"I mean." Cisco sighed. "On the one hand, it does make a kind of sense. On the other hand, why? Why, why would you ever consider doing this?"

"You know why." Barry told him.

"So, for this to actually work, how fast would Barry have to go?" Caitlin questions.

"By my estimates, Mach Two at a minimum." Stein replies.

"You've never gone that fast." Caitlin reminded him.

"So what happens if Barry doesn't reach that speed?" Atchaco said.

"I mean, I'm imagining a bug hitting a windshield. How far off am I?" Joe wondered.

"Not very far, I'm afraid." Stein said.

"Let me worry about how fast I have to go. We're gonna need something else too." Barry told them.

"Really? And what's that? 'Cause I don't know about you guys, but I'm not at all interested in helping you get yourself killed." Cisco replied.

"I need you to build a time machine." Barry said.

"Go on." Cisco smiled.

A few minutes later, Barry, Cisco, Ronnie and Atchaco walked into Cisco's work room. "So, if Wells is as fast as you, what's he need a time machine for?" Ronnie asked.

"Apparently he lost his speed when he killed my mom. He gets it back sometimes but only in spurts. He can't fully control it." Barry explained.

"So I was right about the wheelchair. He was using it to charge himself." Cisco said.

"So after I open the wormhole, he's gonna need the ship to travel back to the future. He's been squirrelling away the parts." Barry replied.

"Now we just need to put it together." Ronnie finished.

"Ronnie, I love you, but this is a time machine, not a bookcase from IKEA." Cisco reminds him.

Ronnie picks up some tiles and looks at them. "We got a problem. These tiles... they're made of tungsten." He notices.

"Well, tungsten does have the highest melting point of any other element." Cisco said.

"Yeah, but the dust it generates is flammable. The pressure exerted from the wormhole…" Ronnie started to say.

"Yeah. Yeah. It could cause a hole to be melted into the exterior. It could explode." Cisco realises.

"Any ideas?" Atchaco asked, they all looked at her. "I know what your thinking, no, the metal material on my body couldn't either." Everyone sighs. "Sorry."

"Let me ask Dr. Evil." Cisco chuckles. "Which used to be a name that made me smile." He points to his face and his smile drops as he leaves the room.

Later in the pipeline, Eobard was looking at the time machine blueprints that Cisco had brought him as Cisco paced back and forth. "Something on your mind, Cisco?" Eobard wondered.

"No. Yes." Cisco corrected himself. "How did you fit your Reverse-Flash suit into that little ring? Is it some sort of compressed micro tech? Or actually, forget it. I don't care. Maybe a little."

"Ronnie's right. I should have accounted for the temporal shearing." Eobard admits.

"Glad we're still good for something." Cisco said.

"I never underestimated your contribution, Cisco." Eobard told him. "Or Ronnie's. As a matter of fact, do you know how many times I wished you were there with me as I rebuilt the accelerator? It would have been a lot more fun."

"Yeah? Well, doesn't change the fact that your nifty little Time Sphere…" Cisco starts to say.

"Is that what you're calling it?" Eobard questions.

"Whatever it's called. It's gonna blow." Cisco reminds him.

"Not if you cement the tiles with a cobalt resin. That'll prevent degradation in conditions of extreme heat." Eobard explains.

"Okay. Fine. We'll try that." Cisco said as he turned and started walking away.

"That's it? That's all?" Eobard asks and Cisco turns around.

"Well, what do you want me to say?" Cisco wondered.

"I don't know, Cisco." Eobard replied. "I thought that of anyone, you'd be a little more understanding of my predicament. I don't belong here. These barbaric times. It's like living amongst the dead."

"Is that what you told yourself? When you killed me?" Cisco replied.

"What? What did you say?" Eobard questioned.

"It was an alternate timeline." Cisco admitted. "One that Barry reset. But I never forgot it. It just kept coming back to me. And I can still picture the way you looked at me when you called me a son and you crushed my heart with your fist."

"Cisco... I'm sorry." Eobard apologised.

"Yeah. It sucked." Cisco told him.

"Not for killing you." Eobard said. "I'm sure I had a good reason. I'm sorry for the fact that you're able to retain traces of another timeline. You're able to see through the vibrations of the universe, not even Lady Macanese can do that and she's the goddess of it. It means... I wasn't sure until just now."

"Sure of what?" Cisco questioned, walking forwards.

"The night the Particle Accelerator exploded... You were affected too." Eobard tells him.

"What are you talking about? No. I wasn't." Cisco said.

"Don't be afraid, Cisco." Eobard replies. "A great and honourable destiny awaits you now. I only hope that as you're living your great adventure, that you remember who gave you that life. And that it was given out of love." Cisco stares at him before he closes the door of the pipeline and leaves.

Back in the Cortex, Caitlin was sitting at the computers as Stein was doing some calculations as Eddie stood in the room. "I'm sorry, but I'm told this is the only station with enough power to run these calculations and I do not want to annoy Atchaco so she can do them for me. If we make the slightest error creating the wormhole…" Stein started to say.

"Say no more. Joe told me to stick around in case I was needed, but it seems I'm only in the way." Eddie said as he grabbed his coat to leave.

"Everyone has a contribution to make. Perhaps you just haven't discovered yours yet." Stein told him.

"No, Dr. Wells made it pretty clear when he told me about the future. I don't matter. As far as history's concerned, I don't save the day or get the girl." Eddie sighed.

"And you believed him?" Stein asked.

"He had a newspaper from the year 2024." Eddie admits.

"And I have a mug that says 'World's Best Boss.' I doubt my teaching assistant would testify to its authenticity. We're dealing with a lot of big scientific ideas today. But you, Mr. Thawne, might be the most interesting thing here at S.T.A.R. Labs." Stein tells him.

"Me?" Eddie wonders.

"What are the odds that Dr. Wells would travel back in time and get stuck in the exact same city as his great-great-great- great-grandfather? Working in the same profession, the same building? And that part of his plan to get home would mean that he'd have to preserve and protect your life. That makes you this rare thing that no scientist can plan for." Stein told him.

"Which is?" Eddie asked.

"Coincidence." Stein answers. "There is no science to coincidence. You, sir, are an anomaly. A wild card, as it were. You are the only person in this whole story who gets to choose his own future. At least, that's my opinion." Suddenly the computer blips and Stein turns to look at it and his face widens. "Wait, that can't be right. Oh, dear."

A few seconds later, Stein walks into the work room. "We have a problem." He tells them.

"What?" Atchaco asked.

"The calculations. There is a danger." Stein answers.

"I know. I'm ready to take the risk." Barry said.

"No, not just to you but to everyone. Wells didn't tell us everything. Barry, even if you do reach the right speed, colliding with the hydrogen particle, there is a chance that explosion could create a singularity." Stein informed him.

"What's a singularity?" Caitlin asked.

"It's a black hole." Cisco told her.

"We could destroy Central City." Atchaco realises.

"For starters. If we create a singularity here and then cannot control it, we could be looking at a global catastrophe." Stein told them.

"So long and thanks for all the fish." Cisco sighed.

Later, they were all talking to Eobard in the Cortex through the live camera feed. "Well, sure, there's a bit of a risk." Eobard said.

"I would hardly refer to possibly causing an extinction-level event as 'a bit of a risk.'" Stein replies.

"Yeah, and your accelerator's been about as reliable as the beater I drove in high school." Joe admits.

"Let me ask you a question." Eobard chuckles. "How many meta-humans... How many dangers... have we faced this year together? Or did you forget that it was me fighting alongside each and every one of you? I have been planning this for almost two decades. It will work."

"And how do we make sure we don't open a black hole in the middle of Central City?" Cisco questions.

"So, once the wormhole stabilises, Barry will have 1 minute and 52 seconds to alter the past and return to this time. If and when he does that, you can close the wormhole, and we can all live happily ever after. Almost two minutes. More than enough time to save Nora." Eobard tells them.

"But not enough time to stop you from going home?" Atchaco says.

"Everything's a choice." Eobard reminds them.

"And what if I'm late?" Barry asked.

"You won't be. I believe in you, Barry. Always have. So I guess the question is, do your friends and family believe in you as much as I do?" Eobard wonders and Caitlin shuts off the screen.

Barry storms off into the other room and he sighs when Joe walks in. "So, if I don't run fast enough to collide with the particle, then I'm dust, and if I do run fast enough but I'm not back here in time, then a black hole will form, swallow up the city and possibly the world. You're sure you still want to look me in the eyes and tell me this is for the best?" Barry wonders.

"I'd be lying if I told you I did." Joe admitted as Barry laughed softly before sitting on the treadmill. "Truth is, I don't... I don't know what to think."

"I thought you were the sure one. I... was kind of banking on that when I made my decision the first time." Barry told him.

"I was faking it." Joe confessed. "Sometimes parents do that. Most of the time, parents do that. Look, of course I'm scared. But I didn't want you to not help your mother because you were worried about me."

"Well, I'll always worry about you, Joe, just like you'll always worry about me. Sorry, but you can't stop that." Barry sighs. "Do you think I can do this? You think I can save my mum? I mean, do you think I'm fast enough?"

"Yes. I know you are." Joe replied.

"You know, I've... I've dreamed my whole life about... saving her, freeing my dad, and... I never thought I'd have to lose another parent to do that." Barry admitted.

"Barry…" Joe tried to say.

"Joe, it's true. It's true. I've always been so focused on everything that I lost that night, but I gained so much too. I was born with one father, and that tragedy gave me... another. And I don't think I can lose you." Barry said as tears ran down his face.

"You won't ever lose me. Ever, you hear me? Ever." Joe replied, his eyes watery as well.

Later at Central City Picture News, Eddie walks in with some Chinese food in a paper bag and walks over to Iris. "Wow, slow news day?" Eddie wonders, putting the food on Iris's desk.

"If they only knew, right? I thought you would be at S.T.A.R. Labs." Iris replied.

"I was. Then I got hungry, so I went to Mama Chows." Eddie said.

"For dim sum? Your favourite." Iris smiles.

"And to remind myself of something." Eddie admitted.

"What?" Iris asked.

"A coincidence." Eddie replied. "A pretty big coincidence, actually. About a year and a half ago, I had a date with this girl. Katie Rogers. She was a dancer. We had plans to meet at Mama Chows, but she texted me. She pulled a hamstring and had to cancel."

"Oh, those fragile dancers." Iris said.

"I was bummed 'cause I was looking forward to it." Eddie continued. "So I had dinner by myself, and I was walking home when I saw a mugger running with a stolen backpack. Your backpack. And I arrested him. That's how you and I met."

"I remember." Iris smiled.

"Someone just told me how powerful a coincidence can be, and it made me realise how many coincidences had to happen for you and I to get together... in this time. We've all been so focused on Barry's destiny, I forgot that I have one too. And it's you. Iris West, every moment of my life led to meeting you. Screw the future." Eddie smiled.

"Screw the future." Iris laughs softly.

Later outside STAR Labs, everyone was getting ready for Caitlin and Ronnie's wedding. "Is this actually binding?" Ronnie asked, looking at Stein.

"My father made me become a rabbi before he would send me to MIT. This will be 'legit,' as the kids say." Stein answered.

"No kids say that." Ronnie corrects him.

"Let's not fight on our wedding day." Stein replies as Caitlin walks up in her wedding dress and stands next to Ronnie.

"There is freedom within, there is freedom without." Atchaco says as she stands in her goddess form.

"If it's all right with everyone, I'd like to skip all the Hebrew." Stein said, looking at the cyborg. Atchaco chuckles slightly but nods. "I've learned a lot about merging one's life with another this past year. Yet, for all the incredible advancements in science we've all been party to, the mystery that brings two people together through love is still the province of magic. Mr. Ramon, the rings please." Caitlin hands her bouquet over to Atchaco. Cisco then kneels in front of Caitlin and Ronnie as he hands them the rings and Caitlin laughs. Ronnie and Caitlin then put their rings on each other.

"I owe you a real ring." Ronnie admits.

"I don't need one." Caitlin smiled. "I have everything and everyone that I could ever need right here. And... if all the events of the past year have led us to this moment, it was worth it. I love you, Ronnie."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Stein tells them.

"Stop telling me what to do." Ronnie chuckles as they lean in and kiss and everyone cheers and applauds.

Later in the pipeline, everyone was there to support Barry as he stood there in his Flash suit. Caitlin then walks over to Barry in tears as she hugs him. "Okay." Cisco sighed. "There are gonna be three yous back there... the you from the future who fought the Reverse-Flash and now you you. Remember, wait until future Atchaco gets younger you out of there, and then you can go and save your mom."

"Piece of cake." Barry smiled.

"May the Speed Force be with you." Cisco replies.

Barry chuckles and then he turns to Joe, tears in his eyes. "Good-bye, Dad." Barry told him and they hugged each other.

"Good-bye, Son." Joe replied.

"Iris…" Barry said, turning to her.

"Good luck." Iris smiled, hugging him. "Be safe."

Bary then walks over to Atchaco who was leaning on the wall so she wouldn't fall over. "Atchaco…" Barry tried to say and then she kissed him.

"You don't have to say anything. I already know. I hope whatever life you get, it's enough for you. That it makes you happy." Atchaco admits.

"You too." Barry smiled. Barry then walks inside the pipeline and as he walks inside the doors closed. Everyone else goes back to the Cortex.

"Remember, Mr. Allen, assuming you achieve the proper velocity and open the wormhole, you will only have 1 minute and 52 seconds to save your mother and return. Or else.." Stein reminded him.

"I know." Barry said, walking over to Eobard's cell.

"Well... you hold both our futures in your hands now, Mr. Allen. And I know you can do it. Now... Run... Barry. Run." Eobard told him.

Barry zooms away and starts running around the pipeline. "The accelerator's structural integrity is holding." Ronnie told them as the hold building started shaking.

"What was that? Is Barry okay?" Joe asked.

"Yeah. He just passed Mach Two." Cisco smiled.

Meanwhile, Barry is inside the wormhole as he starts seeing flashes of his life and parallel universes. From a meta with ice powers, to a museum in his name and even himself in an Iron Heights jumpsuit. "Barry, what you're seeing is the Speed Force: your past, you present, your future all at once. So you need to focus on where you want to go. So think about... that night. Think about your mother." Barry closes his eyes and he starts thinking about that night.

"Time for bed. Good night, slugger." Henry's voice echoed.

"Mum!" A young version of Barry screamed.

"It's working. It's working." Eobard smiled.

In the Cortez, the liquid from Stein's coffee started to rise up into the air. "Inject the hydrogen particle now." Stein ordered.

Cisco then pushes a button on the computer and then they hear a small electrical bang. "What's that? What happened?" Atchaco asked, worried about what happened.

"Barry... he's gone." Caitlin said.

"Look." Cisco pointed to the screen as the wormhole appeared.

"The wormhole. And it's stable. Start the clock." Stein told them.

Meanwhile, Barry appears in his old bedroom in his old house. It was the night his mother died. "Mom!" A young Barry yelled. Barry then goes downstairs to the kitchen and opens the door to the dining room and he sees his mum. "Mum!"

"Barry!" Nora screamed.

"Mum!" Young Barry repeated as Nora screamed.

Henry then walks in and sees what's happening. "Nora! Hold on!" Henry shouted. Just as Barry was about to do something, future Barry sees him and shakes his head, telling him not to do it and then everything goes in slow motion. "Run, Barry, run!" Future Atchaco then arrives and grabs young Barry before leaving, future Bary right behind her.

"Barry, no!" Nora yelled. Reverse Flash then picks up a knife and walks over to Nora. "No, no, no!"

Barry was in tears as he made the choice to not save his mother and shut the door. He started crying even harder when he heard the knife piercing the flesh of his mother. He then heard the knife drop and with a whoosh the Reverse Flash was gone. Barry then steps out and sees his father unconscious on the floor and his mother laying on the floor, bleeding out. Nora was whimpering when Barry walked over to her. "Hey. It's okay. It's okay. You're okay." Barry told her.

:Please. My husband, my son, are they…" Nora tried to say.

"They're okay. They're both safe. I promise." Barry replied, his eyes watering.

"Who are you?" Nora asked.

"I'm... I'm The Flash." Barry told her.

"I don't understand." Nora admitted and Barry took off his mask to show his mum his face. "You look just like my father."

"This won't make any sense, but it's me, Mum." Barry laughs softly. "It's Barry."

"Barry?" Nora smiles.

"Your Barry." Barry informed her.

"Oh, my beautiful boy." Nora said.

"I got a second chance to come back here and... " Barry cried as he leaned into his mother's soft touch. "Tell you that I'm okay. Dad and I are both okay. And we love you, Mum. I love you."

"I love you." Nora said softly and Barry sobs. "Oh, my sweet boy. Bye. Good-bye. Good-bye, Barry."

She takes her final breath and turns away from Barry, her body limp. "Mum. Mum." Barry cried, knowing that she was gone.

Back in the present Stein turns to Eobard. "I believe it's time to say good-bye to Harrison Wells." Stein said.

Down in the pipeline, Joe, Cisco and Atchaco walked over to Eobard as he stood in front of the time machine that Cisco built. "It's beautiful." Eobard admitted. "Rip Hunter would be impressed. He built the first one of these. Interesting man."

Then a metal helmet came through the wormhole. "Now what the hell is that?" Joe asks.

"That's my cue to leave." Eobard replies, walking over to CIsco. "Thank you, Cisco."

"Don't ever come back." Cisco ordered. Atchaco glares at Eobard as he gets into the time machine. Eobard then turns the time machine on and it rises into the air.

In the Cortex, everyone was looking at Eobard in the time machine. "30 seconds." Stein warned.

"Back in the pipeline, Eobard looks up at the wormhole with a smile on his face. "Home." Eobard whispers. Then, suddenly, Barry comes flying out of the wormhole and smashes into the glasses of the time machine. Everyone jumps out of the way as Barry and Eobard land on the floor, the time machine now in pieces.

"Oh, my God." Caitlin gasped.

"Barry." Iris said.

Back in the pipeline, the whole building shaking as everyone was getting up from the floor. "You didn't save her. Why?" Eobard shouts, anger filling his voice. "Why? You could have had the life you wanted. You could have had everything you ever wanted!"

"I already do." Barry replied.

"Not for long." Eobard grins as he puts on his mask and then Barry and Eobard started fighting as they zoomed around the pipeline.

"Cut the internal generators." Caitlin said.

"Ten seconds, hurry." Stein warned. Caitlin and Ronnie were quickly shutting off the generators when Ronnie gets blasted back. And in the pipeline, Barr and Eobard were still fighting. "Three, two, one." Stein said as he looks at the timer on the computer as it counts down.

Back with Caitlin and Ronnie, Caitlin had managed to shut off the generators and then she ran over to Ronnie. "Ronnie, are you okay?" Caitlin asked.

"Did you do it?" Ronnie wondered.

"Yes, I turned them all off." Caitlin cheered.

"They did it. They cut the generator." Stein said and as the wormhole closes, Eobard pin Barry to the wall as he continues to punch him.

Back in the pipeline, Eobard was repeatedly punching Barry in the face, causing him to bleed from his mouth as he held him on the wall. "Just so we're clear, after I kill you, I'm going to kill Atchaco, then I'm going to kill them. And then I'm going to kill your father. I always win, Flash." Eobard growls, vibrating his hands as he was about to kill Barry. Suddenly, a loud gunshot goes off and it send Eobard stumbling backwards. Everyone turn around and see that Eddie has shot himself in the chest.

"Eddie! Oh, my…" Iris shouts before she takes off running out of the Cortex.

Back in the pipeline. "Eddie!" Atchaco screamed.

"What did you do?" Joe said frantically. "What did you do? What did you do?"

"No such thing as a coincidence." Eddie chuckles.

"What's happening?" Barry asked as Eobard started to slow down.

"Cisco, help me." Eobard begged.

"Eddie's his ancestor. If Eddie dies, he'll never be born, and…" Cisco points out. Eobard pulls his mask off as his face changes back into his original face, he now no longer looks like Wells. "He's being erased from existence."

Iris runs over to Eddie as she cries. "No! No! Eddie. Eddie, no, no. Stay with me, okay? Stay." Iris cries.

"He was wrong, it turns out. I'm a hero after all." Eddie said weakly.

"You are, Eddie. You are my hero." Iris sobs.

"That's all I ever wanted to be. Your hero." Eddie rasps, his eyes watery. Then Eddie gasps as he draws his final breath and shuts his eyes, eyes that will never open again.

"No!" Iris yells, tears falling down her face.

"I've controlled your life for so long, Barry. How will you get along without me?" Eobard questions Barry as Atchaco runs and kneels next to him. He then screams as he starts to fade out of existence, piece by piece until he is nothing more than a tortuous memory to those who had seen him and knew him as Thawne.

All of a sudden, the wormhole reappears and rises up into the air. "Guys, that's not good." Cisco stated.

Back with Caitlin and Ronnie they were standing together. "Professor, I shut down the wormhole. What's happening?" Caitlin questioned.

"I don't know. You did close it, but it seems to be reopening." Stein informed them.

"We got to go." Ronnie groans and Caitlin helps him up.

"You okay?" Caitlin wonders and Ronnie nods.

Meanwhile, in the accelerator, Barry and Atchaco zoomed over to Iris. "Iris, we have to go." Atchaco reminds her.

"I'm not leaving him." Iris cried.

"We have to go now, honey. I'm sorry." Joe apologised as he pulls Iris from Eddie's body. Barry and Atchaco zoom everyone out of there as everything, including Eddie's body, gets sucked up into the ever expanding wormhole. The wormhole then appears up in the sky and starts sucking everything up. Everyone ran out of the lab and saw it.

"So that's what we didn't want to happen." Cisco said.

"What's it doing?" Caitlin asked.

"Feeding." Stein admitted. "A singularity won't stop, not even after the earth is gone." Team Flash stared at him, scared. People all over the city were freaking out as they saw the wormhole in the sky. Leonard Snart saw it, Singh saw it, even Kendra Saunders saw it, and Henry saw it from where he was sitting in his jail cell. "I'm afraid the accretion disc has already assembled."

"What?" Joe questioned.

"The diffuse material that's in orbital motion around the singularity." Stein answered.

"What does that mean?" Caitlin asks.

"We have to disrupt the motion. Basically it's just like the tornado, only upside down." Barry simplified.

"And bigger. And scarier." Atchaco gulped.

"Your the goddess of the multiverse and this is what scared you?" Barry wonders.

"Even the most powerful person in the multiverse can be scared." Atchaco replies looking at Barry. "Ever race out there has feelings, I'm no different."

"Barry, Atchaco, that event has an energy level of at least 6.7 Tera Electron Volts. It cannot be stopped." Stein told them.

"We have to try." Barry reminded them. Atchaco quickly changed in her suit as Barry puts his mask back on. They grab each other's hands as lighting shot across their eyes and they zoomed towards the wormhole.

Henry looks out of his window as he sees two streaks run up a building. "Oh, God. Barry. Macanese." Henry gasped. Barry and Macanese ran up a broken piece of a building and pass some more debris. They then ran in circles around the wormhole as fast as they could, and they kept pushing themselves. Because they had to stop the wormhole no matter what, they fate of the world depended on it.
