Update

He decided to lie down on his hospital bed to try to calm down his persistent headache and he decided that since he only had one month of classes left before the end of his school year, he might as well finish it, it would give him time to adapt smoothly to this new world which was called Gadreel by the way.

Once in bed and with his eyes closed, he felt better and decided to dig deeper into his memories, and he was surprised to discover that Mikail had a girlfriend.

It was really a shame, he thought, she was pretty for sure, she had everything to please, curves where it was needed, beautiful almond-shaped black eyes, luscious pink lips, auburn hair that reflected her explosive character well, but it did very little for him.

He had no idea how he was going to separate himself from her but he already knew that he could never feel anything for a girl, no matter how pretty she was.

All the guys of their promotions were drooling over her, and he realized that this was partly why Mikail was with her, he loved the popularity she had brought him.

Mikail didn't really seem to care about this girl because he had already planned to enter a university where only elites and geniuses like him could enter. And so, it would give him the perfect alibi to break up with her, because Mikail had already been admitted and he only had to pass his final exams to be able to enter this university.

But Mika had no intention of continuing his studies, becoming a Guardian seemed much more exciting than pursuing Mikail's dreams of being part of the elite and becoming rich.

And just when he thought he might as well take a little nap since he had nothing else to do at the moment, a nurse entered his room, and when he opened his eyes to look at her, he could see the relief on her face.

She introduced herself and explained what had happened to him, she told him that it was a real miracle that he had survived, and when he asked her if he could leave the hospital tomorrow morning, she flatly refused at first.

But then he reminded her that he was now of age and that he would sign a discharge form, and unable to refuse, she left and returned a few minutes later with the discharge form that he would have to drop off at the reception desk before leaving the next morning.

After the nurse had verified that he was doing much better, she gave him some pills for his headache and she suggested that he try to get some sleep and that normally after a few hours of rest, his headache would be just a bad memory.

Also, she had told him that it was only 2:00 p.m. and that dinner would not be served until 6:30 p.m. and that he would have to wait until then to be able to eat, so it was the perfect time to rest.

She had assured him that the IVs he had received, which he had just taken out, had provided his body with everything it needed, so he shouldn't feel hungry until then.

Mika told her that he would take her advice and he really hoped that his damn headache would go away after he got some sleep. Because once he got some rest, if he was able to, he would try to evaluate the capabilities of his new body.

Mika had always undergone an intensive training, and he had to admit that it had never bothered him, on the contrary, he loved the adrenaline that a fight gave him, or the one he felt when he climbed buildings and ran on the roofs, and he intended to train this body so that he could still do these kind of things in the future.

For now he was rather satisfied with what he had discovered, Mikail had indeed maintained his body well, his stamina and physical strength should not cause him any problems but Mikail had neglected his agility, fortunately his body was young so he would have no problem correcting these small defects.

Once he had finished filling out the discharge form, he placed it next to his magic bag on the bedside table and immediately fell asleep after closing his eyes.

The pills that the nurse had given him for his headache had been very effective because Mika slept peacefully for several hours in a row.

He only woke up when he heard a knock on his door, and he was sleeping so soundly that he woke up with a start and he immediately reached under his pillow for his dagger in an instinctive movement.

He frowned when he couldn't find it, and when he saw the door open, he suddenly remembered that he was no longer in his world, or even in his own body for that matter.

The nurse smiled at him as soon as she entered the room with a tray of food, and she set it down by his bed. After checking that everything was still okay, she let him eat quietly and told him that she would come back later to get the tray.

Mika devoured everything on his lunch tray, he needed to get his strength back and quickly, he was eager to see what he would be capable of doing with his new body.

And while waiting for the nurse to come back he decided to study this bracelet more closely, the more he thought about it, the more it reminded him of the smartphone he had used in his world.

It was a black leather bracelet with a kind of red button on it that adjusted itself to the size of his wrist, in his memories, he just had to press this button to connect to the central system.

Bursting with curiosity, he pressed it, but nothing happened, he tried again, but still nothing, he searched again in his memories, but Mikail had always used it this way, and apparently it was not a battery problem either.

This bracelet was powered by a small magic crystal that was underneath the button, and it was the kind of energy that was inexhaustible, unless the magic crystal was broken which was not the case, this bracelet should have worked.

The nurse returned just then and he asked her, not understanding why his bracelet refused to connect to the central system and she looked at him surprised. Then she looked at his sign-in sheet where there was all his personal information and she asked him, "Have you gone to update it since you turned 18?"

He looked at her surprised, an update ... But what update?
