Laws[1]

[Adrea POV],

Smelling the peculiar fragrance, which I could vividly recall as if it were yesterday, I knew a treasure was being born or was about to be born somewhere around here.

After seeing what the former treasure was capable of, I knew I couldn't underestimate the uniqueness of treasures created by nature.

A single fruit could raise a peak Gold level monster by 9 levels.

What if someone weaker than the griffin took it, perhaps a silver-level monster?

I'm sure the increase in level will be greater than ten.

Despite my thoughts, my body was not idle.

Similar to the coyote monster I previously encountered, I attempted to sense and smell the source of the fragrance so I could decide which direction to head in.

'Even if I don't get the treasure, I should be able to fish in troubled waters among the chaos,' I thought.

With this thought in mind, I chose a route where the fragrance was more prominent.

Running at full speed along my chosen route made me realize how much vitality I absorbed from the flames.

The vitality absorbed was sufficient to restore me to my peak level, demonstrating the extent of damage caused by the flames to that environment.

I also think that's why there hasn't been any backlash yet.

And if my suspicions are correct, then as long as I devour and consume enough energy, I can keep my flames going for as long as I want, but if I don't have the energy to absorb after using it for a long time, I guess I'll have to use my vitality to compensate for the energy, reducing my lifespan in the process.

While running, I observed my surroundings, and when I noticed the few monsters around me multiplying until there were dozens of them in the path I chose, I knew I was at least on the right track.

....

I finally arrived at the location after a while of running.

Looking at the object that had everyone's attention, I noticed that the treasure this time was different from the other one and had the appearance of a strand.

A long golden strand that resembled a hairline.

Observing the treasure again, I noticed that around the golden strand were other golden strands of varying sizes.

However, while the strands were out in the open, there was not a single monster around it within a hundred meters.

The reason was because of the hovering humanoid monsters in the air.

Yes, humanoid monsters. Monsters that have the appearance of humans.

I once read in the school library that once a monster reaches the Arch level, which is equivalent to an Arch Human, they take on a human form, and the higher their level, the more they resemble a human.

A monster of the Arch level will resemble a beastman in appearance.

For example, a monster that resembled a black bull before reaching level 71 will have a human form that resembles a bull. He has hairy black skin, horns on his head, and a tail on his backside.

If he reaches level 81, his hairy black skin will change to human black skin with a hint of hair on it, and the horns on his head will become much smaller, with no tail on his backside.

And once the monster reaches level 91 and becomes a God, its appearance will be identical to that of a human, unless it wishes to display its trait.

And the beastman race is real.

However, this is not the point.

This point is that having a humanoid body requires you to be at least level 71.

This differs from the previous treasure in that it was simply a battle between Gold level monsters and below, but this was different.

There are Demigods here, so even if no battle has occurred, it is obvious that if one does occur, nothing will remain, including the treasures, resulting in an odd brief peace.

'However, the presence of demigods must imply that these Golden Sands are legit precious.' 'I'm curious what it is.' I thought.

It doesn't really matter if I can't fish in troubled waters right now because I haven't even finished my loot from the last time.

'I need to address the loot properly after I get out of the ancient world,' I thought.

it wasn't until recently that I realized how dangerous the ancient world is.

'I miss the city and the martial hall,' I thought, silently crying as I noticed the monster in the air moving towards the golden strands.

Only when they were hovering slightly above the ground and a few meters away from the strands did they come to a halt, and the closer they are to the Golden strands, the stronger they were.

The demigods were in the lead, with the others in lower levels trailing behind.

How far is the distance between the strands and the monster and I?

Well, we were completely ignored in the same way that an ant is ignored.

And just their power is enough to silence us if we disagree.

I was about to give up on even getting anything out of this place because there were so many powerhouses and was about to leave when I overheard one of the demigods speaking to the monsters and me in a language that I know and can understand.

'Is that ancient language?' I thought and waited for the demigod monster to say something.
