Chapter 113

Haniel dragged me to the dungeon. She pushed me inside the minute she opened the door. I landed on my butt, I saw Benjamin laying on the floor. I was excited to see Benjamin, I ran to him but Haniel pulled the metal cuffs so hard that I fell to the ground.

She took off the cuffs, Benjamin stood up and hugged me. I hugged him so tight. "So touching" Haniel said. Benjamin rused to Haniel and grabbed her by the waist. "Please let us go, Miss Lilith is innocent" Benjamin said.

"Oh look he thinks that you are innocent" Haniel said. I looked at Haniel, I can't believe I trusted her. "Let her go!!" Benjamin said. "Let me ask you a question little boy. Do you think that the Vampire King is in love with Lilith?" Haniel asked.

Please Benjamin say no, say no. Please say no. "Well that's not true" Benjamin said. Thank goodness. I sighed in relief "He's not just in love with her, He's obsessed with her and it makes me sick" Benjamin said. Are you kidding me? What just happened?. "See even the boy sees it but you are so blind not to see it" Haniel said.

Haniel pushed Benjamin to the ground. "You both would die" Haniel said. She left and she locked the door from behind her. I rushed to Benjamin and I hugged him. "Are you alright?" I asked. "Yes" Benjamin replied.

"I'd find a way to get us out of this place" I said. "There's no need for that" Benjamin said in a confident tone. "What do you mean?" I asked. Benjamin brought out some bunch of keys. "Where did you get it from?" I asked. "From the lady when I hugged her" Benjamin said.

"How?" I asked. "Well I always do it when my father would want to lock me up in my room. I would always steal the key from his pocket without him knowing" Benjamin said. "I see" Was all I could say.

"Alright.. We need to leave here as soon as possible" I said. "Miss Lilith how is Taytum?" Benjamin asked. "She's worried about you but don't worry you would see her soon" I said reassuring him. "Okay, let's go" Benjamin said.

I took the key from Benjamin and I quietly opened the door. "Shh, stay close to me" I whispered to Benjamin. "Do you know where we are going to?" Benjamin asked. "No but we can't stay here" I replied. "It's a good thing I marked the place just In case" Benjamin said.

Benjamin and I followed the marks he left on the wall. We tried our best to be as sneaky as possible. We silently walked pass a room filled with guards. They were so busy that they didn't notice us pass the corridor. Unfortunately for us, Benjamin hit a huge axe, which made it fall to the floor.

"What was that?!!" A guard asked. I immediately grabbed Benjamin, we both hid behind a Knight's armor. "I didn't see anything" A guard said. "Search the entire Castle, something smells fishy" Another said.

We stayed in that position for a while, I honestly thought it was silent. Benjamin had to sneeze due to the dust. "Gotta!!" A voice said from behind. "Run!!" I said to Benjamin. Benjamin ran for his life, while I had to distract the guard.

He pulled me by the arm but I bit him so hard that he had to let go of me. I ran to Benjamin and we both ran like heck. Within seconds the word had spread that Benjamin and I had escaped. Words do spread like wild fire here.

Guards chased us from behind so there was no time to catch our breath. Oh boy I would never take P.E classes for granted again. I had no idea where we were headed but I'm pretty sure anywhere would be better than here.

I tripped and fell, Benjamin tried to stop but I insisted that he goes on without me. "I can't leave you" Benjamin said. "I will always find you" I said to Benjamin. "But.... But..." Benjamin said but we could hear footsteps and voices coming from behind us.

"I'm not going anywhere without you Miss Lilith" Benjamin said. "I promise you, I would find you no matter what happens but your safety means alot right now" I said. Eventually Benjamin left me behind.

I tried to stand but I couldn't, I sprained my ankle. Really? Of all the time NOW? I must be cursed with bad luck. The footsteps are getting louder. "Ah, it seems like the mouse got stuck in a cage" A very familiar voice said. I looked up to see Brandon standing right in front of me.

"Did you miss me?" He asked. "Why do you always show up at a time like this?" I asked. "That's my job" Brandon said. "Some guardian angle you turned out to be" I said as I rolled my eyes.

"You seem to be in a pickle, what seems to be the problem?" He asked. "Well as you know, I'm running away from a bunch of bad guys who are trying to kill me and now I've sprained ankle" I said. "Ahh, why do you always have to be in an awkward situation all the time?" Brandon asked.

"I don't know..... Can you help me?" I asked. "I'm afraid I can't" Brandon said. "Argh.... At least do you know a way I could get out of here?" I asked. "Not exactly" Brandon said. "So you do know a way I could use to get out of here?" I asked. "I didn't say that either" He said.

"Oh, come on. It's a life or death situation. Death perspective" I said. "They key to getting out of here has been with you all along but be careful you would pay the ultimate price" Brandon said.

"Hold on. How the key with me? What price do I have to pay? You're not making any sense" I said. Brandon sighed with exhaustion. "Mortals can be so dumb..... Fine, I would only tell you how to get out of here but the rest is up to you" Brandon said. "Could you hurry up about it?" I asked.

"Do you want me to tell you or would you rather die here?" Brandon asked. "I'm sorry, take your time" I said. "All you have to do is to dig deep... Let the power flow through you" He said. "What? What do you mean?" I asked.

"Alright.... My time is up, see you next time" Brandon said as he disappeared. "Get her!!" I heard from behind me. "Let it flow..... Let it flow. Argh, let what flow exactly?" I asked in frustration.

"We've found her!!" A man yelled, he held my hand. Soon after I was surrounded by alot of men. "Dig deep, let it flow" I said to myself. I closed my eyes, I took a deep breath. I don't know what happened but I felt as though my body was on fire.

I honestly can't explain but when I came to my senses, I saw them laying unconscious on the floor. "What just happened?" I asked myself while looking at my hands. Next up Benjamin.

I had to locate Benjamin. I searched everywhere but couldn't find him. "Looking for something?" Ixia's voice echoed from a room. I entered the room. I saw Benjamin was tied to a chair. "I can't believe you took the bait" Ixia said.

"If you want him to live then come forward" Ixia said. I stepped forward, Haniel pinned me from behind. "So touching that you would have to watch him die and there's no one coming to save you" Ixia said.

Ixia pulls out a knife and placed it close to Benjamin. "Let's have fun shall we?" Ixia said. "Please don't hurt him, please" I said. "Shut up" Haniel said. Ixia placed the knife on Benjamin's face and she began to cut Benjamin. Both Benjamin and I screamed in pain.

"I did promise to hurt people you love and I always keep my word" Ixia said. She continue to cut Benjamin little by little. It hurts like hell, Benjamin and I cried like babies. I became angry and I couldn't contain my anger anymore.

"LET HIM GO!!!!" I screamed.
