Demon and Pet

Kayla was wearing a black coat over the shirt that she had on and a pair of jeans. Which she would be changing out of once they got to the city and were heading to the high rise. There was a duffel bag behind them on the seat.

The car that they had was a nice one. One that didn't look like it should be driven out where they were. It was kept for an occasion such as this, when going into the city and wanting to fit in. Kayla didn't know the name of the car, it was a dark blue. A sleek design.

It looked like some kind of sports car and the dash glowed red where the numbers were, even though it was middle of the day. The interior was a bit darker with the tinted windows. She glanced at Savon who was driving. He had on a pair of black slacks and a black shirt.

She thought it really made him look darker, just what he was wearing and how his hair was styled screamed demon at her. No human would look this refined. His demeanor was relaxed but he just had that aura about him. He also had on sunglasses at the moment. Since they'd come outside his eyes had started to water and they weren't just for show.

They were both dressed and done up for what they needed. She was very careful not to mess up the make-up and hair that had taken a couple hours to do. She didn't think that anyone really looked like this. Then again she hadn't been in the cities since she was a little girl. She doubted that demons wanted their property looking ragged. Especially if they were showing them off or trying to sell them.

"I feel like a doll." She said remembering the figures she'd seen in display windows so long ago. Though no toy was going to be for her. No, believe it or not, demons had children. Spoiled little fuckers with power that they should never have. They grew fast and by age sixteen demons looked like they were thirty years old. Then they stopped aging, however that was only for the master demon class, and luckily they weren't the biggest number.

"I like how you look." Savon said glancing at her as they drove down the road. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her hair was held back from her face, but mostly down with large looping curls that fell around her shoulders and down her back.

She had on eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, very light blush, and lipstick that was a darker red. Personally she thought that the make-up made her eyes brighter. Made them stand out and the blue in them darker.

"Thanks, you look pretty bad ass yourself." He just gave her a smile, his clothes were sharp and made him look a bit more tan. His hair was oddly done, kind of a mess but a cultivated spiked mess. She'd throw herself at him if she was a demon. Hell she'd do that right now if they weren't in a car driving to a city where getting caught would be their death.

"I always look that way."

"This is true." She said with a laugh. Kayla wasn't sure how she felt about the clothes that she had to wear. She had on a shirt that barely covered her. It tied around the back of her neck, and material covered her breasts but was only connected between them by a silver metal hoop. It split down the middle showing her stomach and there was a metal like chain that went around her back holding the shirt. The shirt itself was white in color.

She was so very glad for the coat at the moment. She never realized how self-conscious she was about her own image. In the duffel bag she had a change of clothes and the rest of her outfit which was a skirt, shorter than she'd even seen in her life. It was a loose soft material that barely came to her mid-thigh, at least she had nice legs. Or so the woman helping her had told her. Said that she was exactly the kind of human that they would bring to a place like this. She didn't know how to take that. She gave a sigh glancing out the window.

Savon was very glad that he was driving. If he didn't have something to keep himself occupied with he would not be keeping his hands to himself. How glad he was that where they were going he could touch, and do what he pleased? Let's just say his acolyte was purring. This was its playing field, and it had eyes for the woman next to him.

'We should do that anyways.' His voice grumbled, his other half was very aware of her. The scent of her and how she looked. Savon had seen her in what she was to wear. He'd actually left the room for a moment because his want and desire had been so strong. It was refreshingly scary once again to have such a strong reaction to someone finally.

She had one of the sexiest bodies he'd ever seen, completely woman. All smooth skin and curves. He was not the only man to think that either of her. Though the ones that had seen her could control themselves. He had to leave the room to control himself.

Savon's body had reacted violently to her, and he was still uncomfortable at the moment. There was a constant ache there. It was painful to fight that arousal this entire time. He'd have to wait a while before he could do anything about it. That was the only reason why he hadn't yet, because he knew he was going to. Savon also rolled his eyes at himself, he was such a hopeless case when it came to certain impulses.

'You are a horrible companion.' The dark voice said. 'Masochism is not healthy.'

'Stop presenting me with images and we'll be fine.' Savon snapped inside his head, his grip on the steering wheel was getting tighter with each mile. God she smelled good, sweet like some kind of fruit. There was a bit of fear or apprehension mixed in there as well but nothing as strong as her own scent.

"Do you know where it is?"

"Hannah told me how to get there." He said, the city was coming into view now as they hit a residential area. He didn't really slow down, just drove how he wanted to. Not like anyone was going to stop him, there wasn't a law. Unless you were stealing property from another demon and then you were dead and no one was avenging your death.

The sun was gone now, the fog having eclipsed it, the world was just grey and bleak looking in here. The thickness of it was hard to even see ten feet in front of you.

"How do you see in this?" Kayla asked. Personally she thought he was driving a bit fast for the weather, and he had on shades.

"Easy, there is still plenty of light, and the fog isn't as thick as it could be." Kayla had to disagree with that. They came into the city and he slowed only because there were other cars on the road. Kayla looked out the window at a world she didn't recognize.

The buildings were growing taller and there were people outside walking down the street. She could tell instantly which were demon and which human. Not just because of the normal characteristics. The humans kept their gaze to the ground not looking anywhere. Most of them had markings or where wearing a kind of thin collar.

She figured it was to tell whose human was whose, but it was just to odd to her. The humans here looked meek and almost unhealthy. They just moved about their business doing as they were told and she had to memorize this. This was how she had to act.

The fog here was still heavy but not as thick as the surrounding area. She watched as they drove by and was in shock at how things were here. That others could just accept it, but then again most of those here probably didn't know there was a different choice.

"Can I ask, if you are part acolyte why do you fight with the humans? I mean, I'm grateful for it we need you, but you could have so much more control in this world than you do." Just looking at how the humans acted toward the demons here, and how he was treated by some where they came from, she had to say he would have it better here.

"Here I would be a slave just like the humans." He said and she looked at him.

"How so?" She asked.

"I'm part human, you forget that. It would be a great weakness to those around me."

"But they would never have to know." she said and gave a sigh. "I'm glad you aren't like those here." She watched as a human was jerked forward by another, and hit hard. The two that did it just laughed, one grabbing him by the hair to pull him back up.

"I could be just hiding it."

"Thanks for telling me now." She said with a half-smile.

"Telling you before would have been stupid. How would I have gotten you in the car?" He said, Savon hated the cities. Hated the air and the smell of them. He wanted to attack those around him. However there were many of them, and only one of him. They drove for a bit longer until he found where they would have to go tonight, he passed it and pointed it out to her.

"It looks so uninteresting." She said, it was a high rise but not really labeled, there was an odd symbol carved into one side. There was a waved line that moved over a kind of hook that was pointed. "You sure?"

"Yes, I can feel them."

"How does that work for you? Like radar? Just how close do they have to be to you to know?" He gave a shrug to Kayla's question.

"Depends if I'm checking the area in general or specifically looking for something. The more I can mentally filter out, the easier it is for me and the longer distance." She looked out the window again. They pulled around the building and down the block before turning left.

The building was still visible over the others and he found a large parking area. There were a lot of abandoned cars here. He pulled into it and moved around to find somewhere to park the car, they hadn't even really been looked at while driving.

He found a spot near the left side where there were some trees. They looked unhealthy and dying but everything was in the cities. He pulled off the sun glasses that he was wearing. The fog was thicker higher up and made it even more grey than the surrounding areas where the fog was thick on the ground. Like they were under a great dome.

"You ready to do this?" He asked her and she gave a nod.

"Just have to be completely submissive and do whatever I'm told." She said.

"You can't react to things either. Even if they kill someone right in front of you. You can't attack them, can't show anger. Only fear, or nothing at all. A human that reacts strongly in that way isn't one that they want to keep around long. Plus they love ones that have fight to them. It's a sure way to get a bloody end."

"Okay." She said feeling a little nervous. Kayla was in the enemies territory, she didn't know how any of the humans had managed to get in this far and do what they were going to do. At least she had Savon to help her.

He reached behind and grabbed the duffel bag and pulled it up front. He opened one of the side pockets and pulled out a slender metal arm band. There was special writing in the band, Hannah's group had this to use.

All the humans that were owned were marked, either by brands, tattoos, or special items. In this case she would have the arm band. He had the small sliver band that went around his wrist. The markings matched and the demons would know that she belonged to him.

"We need to practice before we go in tonight." He said and she looked at him.

"Practice? Where?" she asked and how where they going to do that?

"We will just walk around, easy." Savon replied and moved to open the car door. "What you wear now is fine."

"Okay." She said and got out. What made her the most nervous was that she didn't have a single weapon on her. She couldn't have one she would have to rely on him. He did have a few weapons and that wouldn't be odd seeing that he was the demon.

"How are you going to be able to hide the fact your eyes don't change a solid color?"

"I have a few tricks. Some things that I can make demons think that they are seeing."

"Oh to be you." She said and took one of her arms out of the coat and put the metal arm band on. It was thin and wound twice around her upper arm. It bit the flesh a bit but would stay where she put it, she slipped her coat back on.

"Ready?" He asked her and she nodded. He reached over and pulled her quick and rather harshly toward him and then in front of him making her stumble.

"Walk." He said to her, in a very unkind tone.

Kayla had been unprepared for his movement and she opened her mouth to make a comment but stopped realizing what he was doing. What they were doing had started the moment that they drove into the city.

"If I or another grab you, just go with the direction you are being pulled." He said, she'd stiffened the moment that he'd grabbed her and that she couldn't do. She gave a nod and he put a hand to the middle of her back and she moved forward as he'd told her.

They came to the entrance to the parking area, and her heart was beating a bit fast. There were a lot of people walking around. Quite frankly she was terrified at the moment, and tonight was going to be worse. She moved in the direction that he told her, she kept her head down and stayed close to him.

It wasn't so bad after a while. Though she had raised her gaze once and wished that she hadn't. No one had noticed but she'd gotten a good look at a woman that had clearly been stabbed and beaten. She didn't look long for the world. Savon had taken hold of her arm and pulled her along as she'd almost stopped. She'd dropped her gaze and let him pull her like she had no will.

This place was hell, she heard horrible things happening. Saw a few and wished that she wasn't here. However being here made her realize just what they were fighting for. She was thankful that she had freedom, knew what it was like and had seen a place outside this horrid city. Now she just hoped they could do what was needed and make it out.
