A tragic solution

The police had evacuate the dead bodies, took the injured to the hospital and collected some samples for investigation.

"What a hell is going on here, can somebody tell me?" Kate exclaimed. Sitting alone in her room, she pondered. "As an investigative journalist and a detective, I have never failed in my work, but wait, I have never seen such a strange thing before. What can all these be? No... No," shouting, "somebody give me an answer!"

Overtaken by deep thought, an image appeared to her like that of an old scary man with white hair. With echo in his voice, he called on Kate. Vibrating in anger, he said, "You, your people are the cause of your misfortune".

"But how", asked Kate. "How, you asked". I will tell you.

In moment, Kate found herself in the Land of the unknown. Standing beside a boisterous river, she couldn't hold herself- the noise and cold had affected her. The scary man appeared again.

"Here is the cause of your peoples' predicament", said the scary man. The founders of Vinda Island had destroyed Hydroge, the original settler on this island. They did this in greed, to take over the beautiful treasure of the land. They killed Hydroge, his wife and children except for the youngest who escaped into the Unknown- the land of the Boiling Water. He was however consumed by the water because no one goes there and returns alive. Before his death in that land, he promised to avenge the death of his family. He is the one that have come in that waterlike creature, killing and taking his victims' eyes. With these eyes he is strengthen to see far into the future and generation of those who killed his family, with the moisture he receives more strength to continue his havoc. He will stop at nothing to ensure he continues his deadly assignment for generations yet unborn. For his spirit is very wicked!"

"Now listen, the only thing that can destroy his spirit is the boiling water! So you must get the boiling water from the land of the Unknown. Back in your room, you will find the map of how to get to the land. But I must warn you: he who goes there never returns alive! But in your case it might be quite different! The future will tell!"

Kate regained consciousness and on her bed was a piece of map.

"Timbo... Timbo", called Kate in the office." I have got the solution to our mysterious death- V25",

"What's that", asked Timbo.

"I mean V25 the boiling water in the Land of the Unknown."

"Here you come again, we are talking of serious matter, you are taking of boiling water. What solution can we make of boiling water hmm, answer me?"

"Do you remember our last laboratory result?, asked Kate. The strange human structure in the moisture, do you?" What would you say about that, isn't it enough to believe the revelation I have just told you? Hey, wake up man! Let's do something about this. The scary man told me we've got to go to this land and get this solution; otherwise our future generations are not secured. You know what? I've got the map to this land and I have done some internet search for this place. It is in the heart of the Mendelian Sea, an Island which has a bit of forests and very swampy.

"Okay, Kate. What do we do, how can we get there?"

"Fine, let's get to the King and ask for five brave men who can go with us. Let's also take three of our men who are specialists in hydrology and earth science.

Before the King, she narrated her experience. With missed feelings and doubt he gave them five of his brave men.

The following day, Kate and her men got ready for the adventure. They conducted training on the quality and characteristics of water. They also did a thorough research about the Island and the Mendelian Sea. They researched on sea creatures and how to survive in extreme cold environment.

"Guys, we are embarking on a dangerous mission, The Mendelian Sea is a place of extreme cold with dangerous reptiles, but we must rescue our Island, we must save our generation from extermination! So get on board, get your weapons- the chemicals, the bullets, your protective garments against cold. We must go for the BOILING WATER; we must come back with it. Ready? , asked Kate.

"Ready", answered the adventurers.

Kate and her men sailed for the Mendelian Sea on a private ship. They must sail across two Seas before they could get to the Mendelian Sea; in the center of the sea is an island where the water boils, that is their target.

Half way into the Mongolian Sea, came a heavy wind hitting on every side.

"Hold on guys, ensure your grips are tight", exclaimed Kate to the men.

As they continued, the angry wave became fiercer, tossing their ship. Suddenly, an unusual water creature roared from behind Konta, one of the King's men and off he went with the creature into the sea. An unfortunate incident had created fear in others. Their interactions with each other had suddenly become calm.

"Don't be discouraged" shouted Timbo.

An air of confidence immediately came on them. Kate shook hands with Timbo and others as they resumed their journey. By this time, calmness had returned and night had fallen. They had just crossed the Mongolian Sea and heading for the Pendagodian Sea.

"Hey guys, from the map, we are few kilometers to the Pendagodian Sea and from our studies of this sea, it is predominantly occupied by reptiles and very swampy. So you must be very careful. Do not expose any part of your body to the water especially your legs. And remember, if you find yourself in the water do not struggle, lighten your body weight to allow for flotation. Do not forget to use your chemical weapons against the gaseous creatures".
