Back home

I had never danced so passionately; goodness! I didn't even feel exhausted. Everyone was elated and I was glad. Yah! I chose to call him, took me to a beautiful garden. I mentioned early on that I was a philokalist and this view was super amazing. I was in cloud nine now, trust me. I never imagined that such a beautiful place existed. Oh! I wish I had a camera with me. Also, there were beautiful butterflies. It was so lovely.

Later on, Yah took me to my resting place, kissed my forehead and closed my eyes. I quickly opened them but was back in Zangula. I was in a hospital with several machines connected to my body. Javan was by my side and rushed out to call the doctor the moment he noticed I was awake. It turned out that I had never left Zangula. It was all a dream. The medicine did take a toll on me indeed. The doctor run a series of test on me and found nothing wrong with my body. Everything that happened was all a dream but felt so real.

I was discharged from the hospital after two days and was warmly welcomed back home. I was still in a state of confusion and was still trying to soak everything in.The next day after my return to the palace, I returned to my former schedule. At about three in the afternoon, Father and I had a brief conversation. He informed me that I was in a comma for about a month. He also mentioned that I almost died because the doctor had made wrong diagnosis and had given me an overdose of the medicines. He had the doctor arrested but I asked him to set the doctor free. Afterall, everyone makes mistakes. He did so reluctantly. I told Father I was willing to go ahead with the wedding and also asked to see Javan.

Javan walked into my room at about five in the evening and sat silently staring at me with his stern look. We were both quiet for a while then he finally said something.

Javan: I am glad you're better now.

Ndale: Yes

Javan: You requested to see me, here I am. So what do you need, princess?

Ndale : I just wanted to see, I mean thank you for being by my side while I was at the verge of death.

Javan: I am thankful you did not give up, you fought real hard.

I smiled

Ndale: I had a long journey.

Javan: Do you mind telling me about everything?

Ndale: I don't. I actually needed to talk to someone about everything that had happened.

Javan: Great! Go on.

Ndale: I dreamt and dreamt in the dream. Before this incident I was unwilling to be married to you however, I have no objection now. When I was only five years old, I went missing and someone really special guided me back home. After that incident I never met him again until the marriage issue came up. When I went into comma, everything felt so real, I even ate. I sneaked out of the palace, rode up mount Zangula and left the kingdom. I had about three dreams in there. My bike got stolen, so I had to walk. I went in search of 'my Love' and was ever so determined to achieve my aim. However I was kidnapped and chained for several days, crying every night. I felt hopeless. I had tried to escape from my captors and hence had a pending punishment. Just when they were about punishing me, 'my Love' saved me. He took me to a beautiful town and I was so happy. It was not an easy journey but was sure worth it. It ended marvelously. I didn't want to return home but 'my Love' sent me back, unfortunately. It was an amazing and fruitful adventure. I wish I never left that wonderful place.

Javan: Wow! Excuse me!

Ndale: Did I say anything wrong?

He walked out briskly without saying another word. Perhaps he got upset; Well I decided to focus my attention on positive things. I freshened up and rested. Waking up to find Javan seated beside my bed. I was surprised and displeased.

Ndale: Javan?

Javan: I am sorry I left like that yesterday. Honestly!

Ndle: No problem however, I do not think it is appropriate for you to be here so early.

Javan: Sorry about that, but I was was just worried. And it is quite late in the morning; it is thirty minutes to eleven.

Ndale : Wow, these medicines make me oversleep.

Javan: At least you're recovering faster. How are you feeling?

Ndale: I am okay, thank you.

Javan: Great. Listen if you do not want to push through with the wedding, just let me know.

I did not know what to say to him because I really wish there would be no wedding, on the other hand Dad would deal severely with me if I disobeyed him. I glared at Javan and a tear snaked down my right cheek. I quickly wiped it off.

Javan: Okay, I get it.

Ndale: You don't.

I shouted at him and tears I had been holding back streamed down my face.

Javan: You don't want to get married to me. I was not aware that you were being forced...

I heckled

Ndale: Do not lie to me. Please leave me alone for a while. I am sorry.

Javan looked angry but I really didn't care, my mind was on fire and I just needed to be alone.

Javan: Call me when you've made your decision. I want you to decide, you should not be forced to do anything.

He wiped my tears and hugged me.

Javan: Goodbye.

After he left, I took a long bath crying it all out, ate breakfast and wrote down everything that had happened leaving out no detail. Later on, I took a walk in the garden and was pleased it was well kept. I also visited our school and took some few lesson - I mean a lesson and fell asleep.

I woke up in my room later in the evening, guess Jade found me. After taking a warm beauty bath, I wore a beautiful pink lace sheath dress, tied my hair in a neat bun and phoned Javan.

Ndale: Hey

Javan: Hello

Ndale: Please can we meet up?

Javan: Sure! Where?

Ndale: In the garden please.

Javan: Okay

Ndale: See you in thirty.

Javan: Great!

Ndale: Bye

Javan: Goodbye

Javan was already there. I was happy to see him and he looked handsome. We sat on his kula and laid admiring the beautiful night sky. I was glad to see this again; I could not help but grin. I broke the silence.

Ndale: Thank you for being patient and understanding with me.

He smiled.

Ndale: I am willing to be married off to you.

Javan: Why?

Ndale: I cannot disobey my father and...

He interrupted me.

Javan: I will not marry you.

Ndale: What?

Javan: The wedding has been cancelled.

Ndale: Why now?

Javan: I said I want you to be happy so if pushing through with everything would take away your happiness then we just have to bring everything to a holt.

Ndale: Please marry me, if you don't my father would make my life awful. Please.

I kept quiet and allowed myself get tortured by my thoughts. I stood and kept on pacing up and down. I had a panic attack. Javan hugged me and gently caressed my back.

Javan: Please calm down. Breathe in, now out. Good! I am so sorry I made you upset. I thought that would be the best solution to the problem. I just want you to be happy even if you're not with me.

I could not speak for I was struggling to breathe. He sat me down but I still couldn't keep calm.

Javan: What should I do? How can I help you?

He looked so worried. I searched for my headphones unfortunately, I had left them in my room. I was in tears. I layed down staring at the night sky still trying to take in air. Javan began singing and gradually my nerves relaxed and I began breathing normally. After he was sure I was okay, he stopped singing and spoke.

Javan: I am sorry. Has this ever happened to you?

Ndale: Yes but only when I was little. I am so sorry, I dread my father's punishment and my mother won't be there to save me. When I was seven, I disobeyed my father's command and he punished me severely. Two years later I disobeyed the king's orders and just after being scolded and receiving father's verdict I had a panic attack. After trying every possible way to help me calm down, mother sang and I was okay. She then convinced my father to let things slide. Father forgave me and after that I have never flaunted any of his orders. Please Javan don't cancel the wedding. He would blame me and punish me. I won't be happy either ways. Please reconsider your decision.

Javan: Tell me what you clearly want?

Ndale: Please marry me.

Javan: No

Ndale: Please my lord, don't do this. Sir please

Javan: Give me time to think about everything and kindly keep your cool.

Ndale: Okay. Excuse me!

Javan:Wait!

Ndale: I need to clear my head please.

Javan went on his knees asked me to marry him. I accepted; Well, I didn't have a choice to make.

Javan: Great! The wedding will take place in three days. Take good care of yourself. Do not book any appointment with sickness cause even if you're on your dying bed the wedding will come on. Do you understand?

Ndale: Yes sir

Javan: Javan

Ndale: Yes Javan.

Javan: May we?

I nodded and we walked hand in hand to my room without talking. He hugged me and left.

Ndale:Thank you

Javan: Rest well dear!

I was both sad and happy. Well I hope for the best.
