____Narration____

The third day of the tournament.

[Let the second round of the annihilation tournament begin!!!]

In the dome on the island, everyone was already gathered so that the tournament could continue. Sayaka, the announcer for the fights, shouted enthusiastically, this cheering up the audience, who seemed eager for the first fight.

Yuji, who was standing in the middle of the audience, had his arms folded as he looked at the arena with a serious expression. The first match would be between Akoya and Imai, and although the teenager had given Imai a few warnings, he didn't expect the fight to have many differences.

[And first in the ring is: the king of chokers, Imai Cosmo!!!]

Upon being introduced, Imai immediately entered the arena waving to the audience with an excited smile on his face. The fact that he was wearing only shorts and anklets immediately caught everyone's attention, raising questions about why he chose that outfit for the fight.

'So he hasn't changed his strategy.' But Yuji knew the reason for that, and as much as he knew it would happen, he couldn't help but reject it in his mind.

Imai's strategy was to focus on direct combat with exchange of blows, so that he could eventually take Akoya by surprise with his [Zone]. His clothing served only to help him with his feint. A simple strategy that Yuji did not approve of.

While it was something that might work on other fighters, Akoya was simply too suspicious for it to work on him. Even without Hiyama, the cop could certainly subconsciously react to Imai's ability, which was why Yuji didn't like the blonde's plan.

The moment Akoya survived the [Zone], Imai's entire bluff would go down the drain, forcing him to deal as much as he could with an angry and bloodthirsty Akoya. Stopping to think about it, Yuji didn't even know how Imai was able to win the fight in the end... In fact, he had a hunch, since determination was really a thing in this world.

'Takemichi you say.'

Seeing that Imai's entrance was about to end, Yuji sighed as he uncrossed his arms, turning and heading toward the stage exit.

He had a rather delicate matter to take care of, and he shouldn't take too long to resolve it.

____Hiyama Pov____

"Akoya, do your best." I spoke as I watched Akoya tie her sash around her waist.

"Do my best? Those words are for the weak." He answered me without turning around. "I will win, there is no defeat for justice."

As I watched him leave toward the arena, I couldn't help but close my hand and clench my fingers tightly.

Akoya was my savior, the one who gave me a chance to live again. It was thanks to him, that I could dream again. Even though in his vision I was an "evil seed" who would eventually die at his hands, I still trusted him.

For the sake of justice, I am willing to accept my fate, after all, Akoya is everything to me, he is my world.

But...

Placing my hand on my chest, the memories of an event that had recently happened surfaced in my mind, causing me to almost unconsciously bite my lips.

Why did I keep thinking about another man? Why did his face keep appearing in my mind, even when I was in Akoya's presence?

Yuji Shinakawa's face...

I know I am dirty for thinking about him, I know I deserve Akoya's punishment, but it is not something I can control, since even though I put this memory in the back of my mind, it still pops up occasionally in my head.

To Akoya, Yuji Shinakawa was an evil that needed to be eliminated as soon as possible, since by him having contact with three girls, he could plant his 'evil seed', and this would only give him more work in the future, having to hunt down his evil offspring.

Maybe... Maybe Yuji's wickedness is affecting my mind? Yes... That's probably it. As an evil seed, I could be affected by being close to someone evil...

"..."

No... If this continues, Akoya will be forced to kill me for his justice sooner... I don't want that.

Wait, if I do a good job in my analysis in this fight, it could extend our time together. Yes, that could work. I need to position myself.

Turning to look for a place where I had a better view of the arena, I was startled when I collided with something in front of me, my vision landing on a well-built chest covered by a white social shirt, before coming up to see the face of the person responsible for suddenly appearing in my path.

"Sorry about that."

My eyes widened as I saw the face of the person in front of me, my face heating up for some reason, while the one in my way gave a friendly smile.

"I'd like to talk."

Why was Yuji Shinakawa here?

.

____Narration____

Hiyama was clearly uncomfortable with the young fighter's presence, but she didn't do much to push him away. She would have tried, but there was something in the back of her mind telling her not to, so going against her obligation to Akoya, she decided to listen to him, at least for a moment.

"First of all, I am not here to harass you. I'm here to try to help you." Yuji said with a calm tone, his gentle smile not disappearing from his lips.

Hiyama looked away as she listened to him, her expression indifferent as she rubbed her arm with clear discomfort.

"What are you talking about? I don't need help." She tried to evade the subject, Yuji sighing at that.

"..."

Yuji was silent for a few seconds, Hiyama finding this strange and turning her gaze to him, only to see him staring at her as if he was getting some information. A blush took over the woman's face, but she was quick to push it away with a shake of her head.

"Miss Hiyama." Breaking the silence, Yuji finally spoke. "You don't need to try to hide it. Your exchanges with Akoya during the first round, your extremely accurate internal clock, and even the crimes Akoya committed by killing innocent people just because they had criminals in their families. I know everything, you don't need to make a fool of yourself."

He was direct, and this shocked Hiyama, who seemed to freeze for a moment, before quickly resuming his posture while crossing his arms and looking at the young fighter in front of him with indifference.

"So what? What are you going to do? Use that information to rat me out to association? Or just threaten me?" The woman asked cautiously, seeming unaffected by the fact that he knew all this.

Yuji just shook his head at this, his smile never fading.

"As I said, I am not here to harass you, I am here to help you."

Hiyama, although seemingly indifferent, was quite undecided about what to do. Although she wanted to help Akoya in her fight, there was something that made her want to continue the conversation with the young man in front of her, to see what would happen in the end.

But she knew that the more time she wasted talking, the more impatient Akoya became. She feared this, not only for Akoya's safety, but also for Imai Cosmo's, since the policeman would not hesitate to kill him the moment he lost control.

Yuji noticed the woman's hesitation, not taking time to understand that this was due to the fact that she had not yet contacted Akoya. Looking around the arena, he was able to see the policeman and Imai exchanging blows, Akoya clearly managing to subdue the blonde most of the time.

He had some time before Akoya eventually lost control, so he turned his attention to the woman.

"Like I said, I don't need any help e-"

"Stop it." Yuji stopped her from continuing, her attention turning completely to him as she remained silent.

"I know your story. After your father died, you took over his company, and with the help of your cousin, you managed it. But a year later, your cousin, whom you trusted so much, tried to kill you. That was the day you met Akoya, when he broke your cousin's neck."

Hiayma's eyes widened as he listened to Yuji. How could he know that? Hiyama was frozen, trying to understand how it was possible that the information she had hidden could end up in the hands of the boy in front of her.

"From this moment on, you came to see him as your savior, someone you should follow at all costs, even if he saw you merely as a tool. Your devotion became such that you even used your position as a member of the Kengan association to get target information for him, bribing other members not to reveal the fact that you were collecting personal information from other people...

Akoya killed innocent people, who had no connection to crimes, only because he considered them to be seeds of evil." The more Yuji spoke, the more his expression changed, his smile disappearing as he turned to look at Hiyama with intensity.

"How... How do you know all this?" Cold sweat began to build up on the back of the woman's neck, her eyes wide with dread as she processed everything Yuji had told her.

"Miss Hiyama, you are not the only one capable of getting information through the Kengan association." Yuji said with indifference, his gaze softening as a sigh escaped his lips. "Akoya may be good at killing, but it seems that covering his tracks is not his strong suit. I didn't do much to get a copy of the recording made by your personal psychologist, the one who was killed by Akoya after you told your whole story."

"..."

Hiyama looked lost, her eyes losing their luster as fear slowly began to settle in her mind, her hands trembling as she tried to reach for her radio to communicate with Akoya.

But moving toward her, Yuji gently held the woman's hand to stop her, causing her to look up to meet his face.

"As I said, I am here to help you." He said with a gentle tone, his gentle smile returning to his face as he carefully took the radio from the hands of the woman, who did little to stop him. "When Akoya no longer sees any use in you, he will kill you, as a way of applying his twisted justice. Miss Hiyama, you don't have to accept that. He may have saved you, but you do not owe your life to him."

Hiayama did not answer immediately, her mind seeming to process the young man's words for a moment before she cracked a smile.

"I don't care about that, without Akoya, I will be alone. I will accept your justice when the time comes."

Yuji's smile faltered for a moment as he listened to her, he sighed when he saw Hiayama's lifeless eyes.

"You deserve better, Miss Hiyama. I can assure you that you will not be alone, that Akoya will not be able to do anything against you." Yuji said firmly, this seeming to snap the woman out of her trance for a moment. "I can see it in you, Akoya is just destroying you, and you know it well, but you use it as a way to ward off the feeling of loneliness.

Instead of him, let me be your savior."

Yuji's request seemed to surprise the woman, a blush taking over her cheeks as slowly the sparkle in her eyes returned. She felt her heart race, and as much as she wanted to deny the young man in front of her, she couldn't muster her words...

Maybe that was because she knew he was right. In the same way that Akoya used her as a tool, Hiyama used him as a way to ward off her loneliness since she lost her family members. She knew that Akoya's actions went beyond reason, but she didn't want to lose him, and so she never went against his decisions, even when they were repugnant even to her.

The time she spent together with the policeman eventually affected her reason, but deep down, she knew everything Yuji had told her, she just...

She didn't want to accept it.

"Hiyama, where the hell are you?"

Suddenly Akoya's voice sounded full of hostility from the radio in Yuji's hands, the woman's eyes widening as she remembered the situation she was in.

Yuji looked at the radio for a moment, before turning his attention to Hiyama, who seemed undecided about what to do.

"..."

Placing his hand gently on the woman's shoulder, Yuji brought the radio up to her front, causing her to look at him indecisively.

"Make your choice, Miss Hiyama. Give up this fight."

"..."
