The Midnight Leave: What It Means to Be Human

Axis continued roaming through the village, avoiding any further interactions for the time being, and electing to simply observe the other villagers. Watching Humans and Mutants work together was an interesting sight, but only temporarily. While it seemed as if they were capable of coexistence at first, it didn’t seem as if most of the villagers were on friendly terms. While they were working, they would barely speak to each other, only saying the bare minimum in order to give direction or warning. Whenever it was their break time, they separated from each other entirely, some of them just going straight home, just to come back out to resume working in about half an hour.
