Chapter 213 : Predators!!

Kazuhiko felt a sudden chill run down his spine as he read the phrase "it can't be deprived." Instantly, he grasped the implication.

If it couldn't be deprived now, it meant his previous system could be taken away!

How could Kazuhiko, who sought instant understanding, not break out in a cold sweat at this realization?

It dawned on him that there were hidden dangers lurking within his system all along!

Kazuhiko hastily inquired, "System, what's happening? Can my previous system be taken away?"

[Yes, Host. Although the system is completely bound to you, other fragments within your soul mean that if you encounter a predator, the system may be taken away.]

[But don't worry, now that your essence has been fully merged, even a predator can't take away your system!]

Upon hearing this, Kazuhiko comprehended the situation, but then a larger question emerged.

"System, what exactly is this 'predator'?"

[Host, predators are formidable and enigmatic beings in the endless world. They exploit the resources of one world to sustain themselves, and the system is their preferred target for exploitation.]

Kazuhiko's eyes narrowed instantly. "Predators..." After a long pause, he queried again, "System, is there a predator in this world?"

[Host, rest assured that no predators have been detected yet. They are exceedingly rare, and the likelihood of you encountering one is extremely slim.]

Kazuhiko nodded, feeling reassured.

At first glance, dealing with these predators seemed daunting. They plunder worlds, making them formidable opponents at his current stage.

With a firm grasp of the situation, Kazuhiko pushed aside further thoughts. The system assured him that the chances of encountering predators were minuscule, so he should concentrate on enhancing his strength within this world, leaving distant concerns aside.

After confirming multiple times that the system was firmly bound to him, Kazuhiko breathed a sigh of relief.

The system was his greatest asset, a vital advantage in a ninja world where bloodlines reigned supreme. Without this aid, his aspirations in this world of shinobi would face insurmountable obstacles.

Without further hesitation, Kazuhiko glanced around his dwelling and opened the door, stepping outside.

Sunlight flooded into the room, mingling with the scent of Sakura blossoms in the air.

Surveying the illuminated space, Kazuhiko retrieved the storage scroll gifted by the elder, neatly packing his belongings and stowing them within.

He didn't possess many possessions; after all, the Senju clan had already provided much of his bedding and toiletries. With swift efficiency, Kazuhiko completed his preparations.

Kazuhiko, with nothing particular to occupy his time, sat on the floor of his hut, gazing out at the small courtyard brimming with Sakura blossoms. The space was laden with countless beautiful memories, and Kazuhiko found himself feeling a twinge of reluctance.

Just as nostalgia washed over Kazuhiko, he caught the sound of hurried footsteps approaching from outside the door. A slight smile tugged at his lips as he recognized the familiar rhythm; it could only be Tsunade making her way over.

Anticipating her arrival, Kazuhiko couldn't help but smile at the thought of Tsunade hurrying all the way here just to see him.

Sure enough, Tsunade's footsteps grew louder until she reached the entrance of his small courtyard. Her eyes lit up with joy upon spotting it, a clear indication that she knew Kazuhiko would be there.

After weaving through the crowd and dashing here, Tsunade finally arrived at the small courtyard she sought. Eagerly, she pushed open the courtyard door.

Inside, she caught sight of Kazuhiko, basking in the sunlight with a radiant smile adorning his face. The sun's rays seemed to envelop him, lending him an ethereal glow that captivated Tsunade's heart.

In that moment, Tsunade's racing heart stilled, and her steps slowed as she approached Kazuhiko, entranced by his presence.

With each step she took, Tsunade exuded a simple elegance that only enhanced her allure. Kazuhiko, too, couldn't help but admire her graceful figure and charming visage.

As they stood facing each other in the tranquil courtyard, neither uttering a word, Tsunade finally broke the silence with a heavy sigh, "Are you... leaving?"

Though phrased as a question, Tsunade's tone betrayed a sense of resignation, indicating she had already braced herself for this moment since Kazuhiko had informed her two days prior.

Yet, despite her preparedness, Tsunade couldn't suppress the pang of sadness that gripped her heart, silently wishing for the departure to be delayed, if only for a little while longer.

At an indeterminate moment, a powerful urge surged within her heart. In that instant, she found herself unable to resist the impulse to abandon everything, to leave Konoha with Kazuhiko, disregarding all consequences.

This urge gripped her fiercely, particularly upon seeing Kazuhiko again. It flooded her mind, echoing persistently within her consciousness.

Unaware of Tsunade's inner turmoil, Kazuhiko simply nodded, though a hint of reluctance lingered in his expression. The inevitable moment of parting loomed over them.

"There are banquets waiting in distant lands; await my return..." Kazuhiko murmured softly, tenderly stroking Tsunade's hair as he spoke.

Unable to contain herself, Tsunade collapsed into his embrace.

Finally ensconced within Kazuhiko's arms, Tsunade's reluctance intensified with each passing moment until, in a sudden burst of emotion, the words spilled from her lips.

"Kazuhiko, I... I want to go with you. Now."
