Chapter 4

Eloy didn't end up following Felix to the hospital. Although she was stuffed into his car and forced to wear a seatbelt, she kept stressing that all she needed was a medical kit. The explosive nature of the news would surely send her to the headlines when she went to the hospital with the escort of a hot topic person.

He was so impatient with the noise that he finally made the driver stop at some street corner. At this point it hadn't driven much farther than that, and this area was all inhabited by wealthy people. He got out of the car first with his umbrella, and then the driver opened the door for her.

"Where is this?" She took the umbrella from the driver, insisting that she would not share it with him.

He glanced at her, having already seen those deliberate thoughts of hers, but he didn't break her down, "One of my certain properties, just thought of it when I was passing by."

"..." Eloy didn't know what to say for a moment.

Mr. Felix took off his expensive suit and casually dropped it on the sofa, the sleeves of his shirt were neatly pulled up above his elbow joints, and the beautiful muscular lines of his small arms were on full display in front of her.

She couldn't help but think back to that night when his arms wrapped around her waist and with a little force, she was crushed in his arms, her breasts all shaped against his chest.

She lowered her head and let her hair cover her burning red face again, damn it, why did she think of this at this time.

It wasn't until he sat beside her with the medical kit that she realized this amazing man was planning to treat her wound himself, and she looked up at him with some surprise.

"What? Don't trust my skills?"

"No, no," she flashed the fake smile of the service industry, "I was just worried that you were too busy working to have time."

Felix had seen long ago that this woman had a lot on her mind. She always acted very respectful to him on the surface, but he knew she would say bad things about him behind his back. Yet he didn't feel angry at all. On the contrary, after a few times with this woman, the deeper he got to know her, the more he found her interesting.

Looking at her witty smile, he suddenly had bad thoughts too.

The cotton swab dipped in iodine was gently pressed down and she still felt the pain. He looked up just in time to catch her expression contorted by the pain.

"That hurts? Your hand is in need of debridement."

Felix was sitting right next to her, his head coming up and treating her wound in a serious manner. She had expected him to call a doctor; after all, she had forced herself into his car and then she had been brought here by him.

So what was his original itinerary for the day? Did he really have time to finish treating her wounds?

But soon, Eloy couldn't think willy-nilly, she suddenly cared a lot about showing pain in front of Felix, not to mention screaming and tears, which seemed to become a matter of her dignity.

She had tried her best to grit her teeth and not cry out in pain, but after all, the wound had broken the skin. The pain made her breathe deeply a few times, and eventually she didn't hold back her tears while clearing the wound.

Tears fell, teardrop after teardrop hitting her lower arm and leg. He jerked his head up, and when he realized she simply was in pain, he had a flirtatious mind.

"How come you're afraid of pain and like to cry at the same time? How come you get teary-eyed when I see you?"

This man seemed to be a decent, reliable gentleman, but it turned out that he didn't have a good intention when he opened his mouth. They had only met twice, and what happened the first time was still indescribable, but when she thought about it, did she really cry then? At what point of the crying?

Some explicit images came to her mind, she blushed, glared at him, and forgot to shed her tears.

"It doesn't matter if you cry out if it hurts, it doesn't matter if you burst into foul language, there are studies that show swearing can suppress pain."

He found that he was only able to get her to smile a short time and her brows were still knitted together, even though his movements had been gentle. Somehow he always made comparisons to that Allen, he figured it was because he hadn't had the experience of taking care of anyone else like that either, and if it had been Allen who had been hurt, he wouldn't have cared about his state, a quick bandage would have been the first choice.

Eloy had not heard of such a statement, such a study would have been a bit interesting, and also through the mouth of Felix to speak out. She sensed that he was taking the trouble to comfort her because she had felt alone in her life even before her mother had died; Klem had loved her but had not given her such subtle emotional care. To be comforted just because of such a small wound was a strange thing to her, and her heart flooded with some different emotions.

Without saying anything else, the way he worked seriously was really attractive.

"It's okay, Your Highness, although you also have a different charm when you cry, but I still hope your tears can stop falling now."

He finally tied the bandage and ended the wound, his head lifted, still at a very close distance from her. The last memory one forgets was actually the smell, and Eloy's memory suddenly revived at this point.

Felix's body smelled strongly of woody perfume, she was farther away from him before, and she was in so much pain just now that she didn't even have time to care about the scent. Now that the scent had officially begun its assault, she felt as if she was surrounded by the slightly spicy male scent that held her in a tight bind, as if it had been that night.

She recalled the smell of that night when she would have been in his arms and the scent had completely enveloped her, her chaotic brain soaked in the aggressive scent of the male fragrance. The scent had witnessed her intoxication, or one could say she was intoxicated by the scent.

The woman in front of him froze as if she was staring straight at him. The two were so close that their breath spurted out, and he noticed the aggravation of her breath, what was she thinking about?

He hooked the corners of his mouth, not knowing whether to say she was silly, or real.

"Do you remember my promise? It's still valid." He whispered demonically, enticing her to make further moves, "You can make any request you want, except..."

Eloy came to her senses, the damn offer.

She'd said she wasn't here to sell her body. She took a step straight back and stood up, putting distance between her and him.

"Thank you for the wrap, Mr. Felix." She shrugged off her right hand, which was neatly and beautifully bandaged. "I think I should leave."

He stood up too, an unexplainable smile on his lips, but not stopping her sudden departure.

"Then I wish you a safe journey."

The rain had stopped and the wind was still a little chilly. She cowered as she walked back to school, hoping the cold wind would wake her up to the thought of being silly again. Maybe knowing someone required relying on her eyes rather than hearing some rumor, but she still struggled to misinterpret this man because he was just too dangerous for her.

Mansions all bred rot, and it was inevitable that he was as dark and cruel as the Fox family, and then he would surely have the opportunity to hurt her.

A sudden ringing interrupted her thoughts, and she pulled out her phone and glanced at the caller ID; it was Cara, her schoolmate in the news department.

"I've read the news you sent, how wonderful! Are you sure to send it out?"

"Of course, because I'm not a good person, Cara. I don't forgive my enemies, and generally I take revenge when I have it."

"That's good, you just wait for this campus headline tomorrow."

Eloy finally showed a happy smile, it was so good that tomorrow she could see the painful expression of her enemies.
