Chapter 24: A Tense Situtaion

Diego was screwed, and he knew it. The second he heard the car pull up, his blood ran cold. No one was supposed to come back to the motel tonight. His hands were covered in bleach and blood. The room was still a mess. This was exactly why he’d gone through so much trouble to make a mess in the first place, though. There was no room for error in this plan.

When he opened the door, he saw Tiny and Dexter standing too close to his car. He knew he’d only get away with this if they didn’t look too closely at Angela’s body. He and Tiny exchanged a few words, but Tiny wasn’t buying it.

The problem with Tiny was, simply, he hated Diego. Nothing was going to change that, and Tiny would do whatever he could to discredit Diego and get Germaine to see that he was a snake. Tiny realized that Diego had finally messed up too much to be redeemed. There was no way Germaine would be able to excuse this kind of shady a** behavior. Diego wasn’t going to go down without a fight, though.
