Madi P.O.V.
I woke up around twelve with the familiar burning feeling gone. I turned off the air conditioner and fan and sat on the bed waiting for Jason's arrival just like I had the last two days. An hour later there was still no Jason and I was becoming angry. The two days he showed up to give me release then would leave without a word. I did not deserve this. I threw my hair up put on a pair of sweats and headed for the office. I could hear a warrior behind me yelling for me to stop that Jason was in a meeting but I didn't care. He was going to talk to me now.
I slammed the door open with no warning, "I want an explanation. A journal isn't that bad there is something else. I deserve, at the very least, a damn explanation!"
Jason had a cool look on his face before turning to the room's wolves. "Please excuse us for a moment guys. I need to have a conversation with the luna."
They nodded their heads before stepping out and closing the door behind them. "So? What the hell is going on?"
His cool look slipped away into anger, "Why don't you ask whatever male you slept with before me?"
My anger turned to understanding then anger again, "You mean that piece of shit that raped me when I was fifteen? Thanks for just assuming I'm a slut and not asking. Not to mention what the fuck does it matter? You've been with other girls!"
His mouth opened and closed like a fish as I turned around and stormed out. For the first time in days, I could go out for a run so that's what I did. I ran until I couldn't anymore I then turned and walked back slowly to the house. It was after dark when I finally returned and Jason was waiting for me, a sorry look on his face.
Jason P.O.V.
I watched unable to speak as she walked out the door. Raped? By who? I picked up the phone determined to find out. Two hours later I finally had a good idea of who had violated my mate. It was clear after I heard of the boyfriend that she abruptly stopped seeing and started telling people she was a slut. I rubbed my face with my hands. I had jumped to conclusions and now I ended up looking like an even bigger ass.
I pushed back from the desk. I knew she had gone for a run so I went to wait on the porch. She walked up slowly, "I'm sorry Madi. I know who he is now and I've taken care of it. No one will ever hurt you again. And I will try my best to make sure I'm one of those people that never hurt you again."
She nodded slowly, "You've really hurt my feelings the last few days Jas."
I looked down ashamed, "I know. I jumped without knowing all of the facts. We have both done things we regret the last few days. Can we start over?"
She look thoughtful for a moment, "I would like that."
I smiled holding my hand out to shake hers, she looked confused. "Hi, my name's Jason. Would you like to go out on a date sometime?"
She let out a small smirk, "I'm Madi and I would love to."
I pulled her close by her hand hugging her. I needed to learn to control myself. I can't lose her.

I smiled happily as I stepped into the bedroom to get ready for our date. He wouldn't say where just to dress casually. I pulled out a nice V-neck purple shirt tight skinny jeans and a pair of vans. I dressed quickly and threw my hair into a ponytail pulling some pieces of hair down to frame my face better. As I finished there was a knock on the door.
Jason stood there with a bouquet of daisies I smiled and took them. I smelled them laid them on the bed and turned back around. I smiled as I caught him looking at my ass. He just grinned knowing I caught him.
I rolled my eyes and walked past him, "Let's go horn dog."
He chuckled lightly as he walked behind me. As I stepped outside I came up to a motorcycle with a side cart with something in it covered by a blanket.
I walked to the basket slowly and jumped when a voice said, "Don't you dare peak."
I turned around to see and amused Jason. "I wasn't. I was just going to look at the bike.'
He chuckled knowing I was lying through my teeth. I grabbed the helmet that was obviously mine off the seat and gave Jason a look.
"What? Better safe than sorry."
I just smiled at his words and slipped the helmet over my head and I watched threw my visor as he did the same thing with his helmet. He climbed on the bike and signaled that I should do the same. I climbed behind him and felt tingles up my arms as I wrapped them around him. I squealed and gripped tighter as we revved off. I felt his chest vibrate with laughter. I smiled contently as I watched the trees fly past, wondering what was in store.
I was confused as we pulled up to an empty dark meadow surrounded by trees. I mean don't get me wrong, we can see just fine, but a dark meadow? Really? I pulled off my helmet and faced Jason raising an eyebrow. Jason smiled at me and grabbed the things out of the side cart and set up the blanket on the ground. He then sat down signaling that I should sit down as well. I sat still slightly confused. Jason then clapped his hands and all the trees around us lit up with hundreds of twinkling white lights. It created a warm glow in the circle we were in without making it so bright that the intimacy was lost.
"This is so beautiful," I said with wonder.
I heard a chuckle and I had been so preoccupied that I had forgotten until he laughed that he was there. I looked over to see him watching me as I looked around in wonder. "How did you do all of this?"
"I had some help."
I smiled at his vague answer, "Well I absolutely love it."
"I thought we could have a cozy quiet dinner out here with nobody around to bother us. It also gives us a chance to learn more about each other. We don't really know a lot about each other."
He began pulling the things out of the basket and I smelt fried chicken that made my mouth water. I dug in as we ate in silence. I finished with a sigh of contentment as I patted my stomach and Jason laughed at my reaction. I watched as he finished up and he had BBQ sauce on the corner of his mouth. I pointed at his mouth and he licked all around seeming to miss it.
"Wait let me get it."
I suddenly felt brave. I reached my hand forward acting like I saw going to wipe off the sauce, but I slipped my hand behind his head and pulled his lips to mine. He froze at first surprised that I had been so forward. I used this to my advantage as I climbed onto his lap and slipped my tongue into his mouth. He finally reacted as he let out a groan and tangled one hand in my hair as the other one rested on my hip. I groaned in response as I tangled my hands in his hair pulling lightly. He shifted so that I was on my back and he was hovering over me. I felt the pressure building in my stomach just at this little bit of contact. He disconnected his lips just to trail them down my neck. I let out a breathy moan as his teeth grazed the spot where he would mark me, between my shoulder and my neck. My wolf howled in joy as she knew we were about to be marked and claimed forever, but suddenly Jason froze. I looked up into his eyes and realized that someone had mind-linked him. I swore under my breath and waited for it to end knowing he wouldn't move until it was over. When he finally came out of it the apologetic look on his face let me know everything. Our date was over and he couldn't even tell me why because I'm not officially Luna of the pack yet. I was his mate without any of the responsibilities or privileges. Most mates would have been marked and fully mated by now, but we weren't.
By this time he had already climbed off of me and was beginning to clean up our mess from dinner. My once comfortably full stomach felt like there was cement sitting at the bottom of my stomach and it made me sick. I know the laws but the reality of it is that we would have already been mated by now if it weren't for him. I quietly got up not acknowledging him and walked back to the bike. I climbed into the side cart not wanting to touch him. I pulled on my helmet and waited for him. He walked up a few minutes later and sighed when he saw where I was sitting. He didn't say anything, all he did was strap the basket to the bike before climbing on and taking off. I watched as the trees passed by quickly.
When we arrived at the house I didn't wait for him to say anything I stood right up and made my way to our room. I stayed polite, nodded to those who bowed their head in respect, and said, "Luna." Luna? ha! If only they knew how much of a joke that really is. Luna with no responsibilities, power, or opinion for that matter. Just a mate to an alpha that never wanted me anyways.
