HE WAS NOT SATISFIED.
That was most brutal death Mark has ever witnessed. But Orion never go out of ideas of giving painful deaths. He had cut out his limbs to floor. At some point even Mark was gagging and left to clear his clogged - the scenery of that almost dead man - mind.
Orion was still searching for the culprit who was behind his brother's death. But it was like he had gone in a pits of hell . There was no lead, no name, nothing. Its been been a year and he was getting nothing out of his work. First he thought it was an accident but then from his sources he realized there was a girl involved. But who?
The man who he killed last night was one of the men who would have led him to the murderer of Sal, his little brother, his only family.
Sal never wanted to do anything with their family business. So Orion sent him to the place where his little brother would be away from all the violence, blood, murder, drugs and above all of that he would be safe.
Safety. The utmost priority of Orion for Sal.
Orion didn't has even direct contact with Sal so Sal would not be in any danger.
This kill would have been his second kill of this week but luckily the pimp who had assaulted Ruth went to comatose for over torturing him. Good for him. He saved his body parts from Orion who would have chopped it down to pieces.
After having a nice, cold shower Orion dressed in normal attire of T-shirt and shorts and walked down to his office. While he had a pile of work to do his mind was still pinned to that vixen who always had a way to infect his minds with her words or actions.
The way she responded to him yesterday, that thing was embedded in his brain, forever. But he would never understand her ignorance. Her way of choosing Darius over him would always leave a trail jealousy .
" What she would be doing right now? "
His brain was infatuated with her, more than his body. He couldn't help himself but to think of her. His hands unconsciously held his phone out and searched for her contact number.
" Hello? "
Her sweet, melodic voice answered on the third ring.
" Ruth? "
He would never understand how she has so much power over him. Only her voice and here he was already in other dimension. A long whiff of air and he continued....
" Can we meet tomorrow? "
He expected her to deny like always but to his utter surprise she said 'okay'.
" Is it something serious? "
Ruth asked from the other side. She had very light schedule and other than that she was free. Although she was skeptical at first but then she decided she would talk him about the drama he created in her office.
" No. Nothing that sort of. "
Perplexed and lost he sighed. He just wanted to have some company and little bit of peace and for him Ruth was best at it. Although Ruth sometimes annoys him but she also gives a soothing and jolly vibes which he had missed.
An environment of melancholy surrounded him. He had always been a rough and tough man. Emotionless. Expressionless. Stiff. But at the end of the day he was a human who had a heart. No one can deny that.
He was so lonely. Even though when Sal was alive and lived across seven seas from Orion, he knew he had someone whom he can call family. But now it was only him and memories of them.
" Mr. Vassiliev, are you okay? "
Her honeyed voice broke his trance.
" Yeah. Totally fine. "
But no matter how or what he had to be tough. Weakness would lead him to his own downfall and at this point he couldn't afford that. He had so much to do, so much to dig, and so much enemies to bury.
"I'll pick you up at 1."
" No. Why would you? I can come on my own, you just send me the adress. Bye. "
Ruth disconnected the phone without hearing the response of Orion.
Witty and outspoken. Orion could conclude Ruth in this two words.
Also undeniably beautiful , Orion never considered her outer beauty but it was her soft personality that pull him.
However it was always opposite with him, she was soft and tender with everybody else except Orion.
Tossing and turning Ruth spent her one hour in thinking . Why Orion wanted to meet her? And Why in the first place she agreed?
Sometimes she couldn't understand how her brain works. The words would slip out before she controls her mouth. Her one of the major drawbacks . She checked her phone of any texts to cut her time out but all the texts were work related . In those meadow of thoughts her mind walked to Sal.
How her life changed in one dreadful day!
She wanted to move on. She wanted to live her life to the fullest but there was something which was holding her down. Whenever she would think of dating again her mind and body would repulse the idea of someone taking the place which was already occupied by Sal.
' She doesn't need a man to live her life.'
She would chant this mantra for umpteenth time. Now it was somehow engraved in her soul.
But not for long.
Someone was changing it and Ruth unknowingly was letting the man to do so.
The next day she woke an hour late than usual time. Did her breakfast and hurried to her shop. Since she had a very little work to do before it was 1 she was already free by that time.
Sara informed Ruth from intercom that Orion was waiting for her in the lounge.
What a gentleman! He didn't have any decency to come to her office. But why did she care? And didn't she told him that she would come to the fixed Café on her own.
She walked to him to spat a sarcastic comment on him but thankfully she controlled her running mouth this time.
" Let's go. "
His voice strained and stiff. Ruth always had a way of reading people but she always fail when it comes to Orion but today she could read him like an open book.
His eyes said it all. Loneliness.
