[THIRD POV]
She has been laying on the bed barely able to move an inch, not only was her body heavy as the minutes went by but also, she couldn't get to open her eyes. It was like someone glued them together.
The noise from outside increased. For sure, if it were not for the noise, she wouldn't have woken up any time soon. Unsure if she was alive or had traveled into the land of the dead, she pushed herself to wake up.
Groggily, Doctor Bedelia stepped her feet on the floor, when the mist on the floor hit her floor, she confirmed she was alive. Struggling to open her eyes, Bedelia headed to the bathroom.
She showered lazily and dressed up with the first thing her hand touched. Sitting on the bed after dressing up, she eyed the bed that was calling her, she rubbed her forehead when she heard the noises from outside increasing. She had to check out.
Outside her chamber, she had to countercheck if she was on her floor and not the one where all the wolves stayed with their families. They were roaming all and about, without even glancing at her.
She pushed past one of them and headed into the lift. (What is going on?") Bedelia asked Beta Shark via their mind link. She got no reply, she pulled a hand of a she-wolf passing her as if she was an invisible insect. "Why are you here?"
"No reason." She rudely replied.
Doctor Bedelia let go of her hand and clapped her hands, "everyone, off the fucking floor." They scrambled off instantly. She rubbed her forehead in frustration, she could feel the headache. and then she remembered, "wait if my brother has woken already."
"Bedelia, thank heavens. I have been calling you." Rinzler said, out of breath.
"Is Fisher up?"
"I was wondering too."
"How are you?"
"I feel like someone is injecting my bloodstream with wolfbane while hitting my bones with nails. Enough?" She explained.
Rinzler nodded, "no one said anything, I have asked Savannah to search for Beta Shark and High Priestess Mannequin, we needed to wake Alpha Fisher up. Things are getting out of hand. I did not sign up for this." He ranted.
"Relax, I am sure there is no explanation."
"Uh?"
"This is the Fishers Pack. They are ungrateful bitches. Let us see how Luna Audra is fairing, ask Savannah to bring those two here..."
"Wait, if we can't find those two, who is handling the visitors?"
"What visitors?"
"The ones who have been coming since yesterday?"
Confused, Doctor Bedelia got her phone out of her pocket and checked the time, "I slept over twelve hours? Why didn't no one wake me up? I don't recall ever talking about how to handle the visitors. What have we done Rinzler?"
Rinzler's heart was beginning to beat erratically, he was panicking and hated that soon he might go into full panic mode. Doctor Bedelia tapped his back, "no worries, everyone knows the pack is unwelcoming, they won't mind. Let us check on Audra."
They pushed Luna Audra's chamber's door and found her curled up in a corner with a knife in her hand. "What are you doing?" They both screamed.
"Killing myself, what do you think?" Luna Audra asked with no emotions at all.
"You can't say shit like that. Hand me the damn knife." Doctor Bedelia lurched at Luna Audra and took the knife from her hand.
Behind, Rinzler was stuck in his place. Doctor Bedelia got her phone out and called Chief Ayn, she went to the point, "your friend is in suicidal mode, come help."
She faced Rinzler, a look passed on their faces. "I will stay with her, go check." She said.
"No one is going to ask me how I am doing. Do you all hate me this much?" Luna Audra asked, her voice edgy.
Rinzler stopped in his tracks, and without wasting much time, he bent in front of her, "I am sorry Luna Audra, I am sorry, but I want to check what is happening outside, Bedelia is with you."
Luna Audra looked away.
"Go." Bedelia pointed at the door. Before he stood, the door opened and Chief Ayn rushed in. "That was fast."
"Yeah, way better than listening to Marina." Chief Ayn spoke, her eyes on her friend on the floor, she pulled her to her chest and circled her hair with her fingers.
"Marina?" Rinzler and Bedelia asked.
"She came into my office earlier, asking me to inform the humans we have a boat competition, she has been talking to the wolves about the competition and how good it will be." Chief Ayn explained with disbelief in her voice, her disbelief however didn't match the disbelief on both Bedelia and Rinzler's faces.
They were doomed.
They shot to their feet and rushed to the door, Luna Audra began laughing making them turn around and look at her, they both had their eyebrows raised.
"You hear Marina and you jump. But..." Luna Audra stared at the knife on the floor, "you have left the murder weapon in my presence."
Jeez! So fucked up. They looked at each other then at Chief Ayn, as if telling each other, "please, handle her." Luna Audra broke down, mumbling, "my daughter hates me, I can't feel my mate, can you Bedelia?"
"Please tell me." It was Rinzler, literally begging.
Doctor Bedelia didn't know what to answer, they returned to Luna Audra and lowered themselves to her level, "you know you don't have to be whiny all the fucking time."
Luna Audra gasped. Rinzler pulled Bedelia up and pushed her out of the room, luckily, she didn't object because from how his hands were trembling, they would have ended up falling. On their way to the lift, they heard Luna Audra screaming.
"I can't feel him too, Rinzler. Is he dead like the dead?" Bedelia whispered into Rinzler's left ear.
