CHAP 25: Return

Me and Samantha rode the bike throughout the streets in order to reach the Central District and the Police Precinct. The travel was mostly uneventful, with the only thing of note being the conversation between me and the woman, where i explained the existence of Umbrella and how Kanto was the supervisor of Kansai, which was in fact an mega testing facility for the development of bio-weapons and genetic engineering research. It seemed Samantha used to work at the Kyushu Plant, achieving an high level on the hierarchy of the lab, until she decided they limited her growth and robbed an bunch of files and chemical, destroyed an part of the research and killed some scientists out of spite. She worked for Umbrella, but wasn't even aware of it. We arrived at the bridge, and saw the chaos that flooded the city.

Bodies everywhere on the street, be them of robots, cops, civilians and some Executioners. Some buildings were on fire, as well as barrels, stands, shops, chaos had consumed Kansai in one sweep, and the events that led to it were so fast it wasn't even an day since everything was ordinary, and the ones responsible for that had either been killed by me, or held under my feet. Perhaps this is what i missed the most since my death, this feeling of being the one responsible for all chaos, all destruction. Since i've knewn myself, i was one who loved seeing the world set on fire, but above all, i loved being the one to set it on fire. Samantha looked around as i drove slowly through the streets, fascinated by the destruction that surrounded us.

We continued on, slowly, in order to avoid the bodies, to the Police Precinct. My {Advanced Senses} allowed me to perceive the hiding civilians in the buildings or alleys. The Executioners murdered all they saw, i wonder where they are now, if they were patrolling the streets, they were doing an bad job. Samantha and i arrived at the delegacy, and got out of the motorcycle.

The precinct was severely destroyed, one of it's wings had gone fully in ruins, and the central building had all of its windows shattered, it's curtains set on fire and one of the two stairs had fully fallen down, the debris blocking the door to the elevator.

"How did the civilians even manage to do this?"

I asked Samantha, who simply shrugged.

"I guess quantity really wins over quality."

She commented.

We entered the location, and went over to the debri-blocked door, i pushed some of the detritus off the way, unblocking the entrance, Samantha passed crouching below the big concrete rubble i was holding up, and i followed behind. The corridor filled with pillars, where i first met all of the Akudama.

"It seems so long ago since we were here."

I said to the Doctor.

"Time passes fast when you're having fun."

She answered while we went past the marble pillars. We saw the hole we had fallen in before, and went down, entering the prison below the Precinct, and continued on to the metro's location. Arriving at the the train, which was already there, we entered, and i pulled out my laptop, overriding the system of the machine and making us rapidly go to the Deadman Wonderland.

We arrived at the facilities below the particular prison, and followed the map to the surface, everything was strangely unguarded, until we entered the external atrium, where the leader of the Executioners was giving an speech.

"The Execution Division was made to kill the god forsaken criminals known as Akudama, but look at where we find ourselves, retreating to safety in face of the threat of the ones who should be our prey, they broke the order we were supposed to keep, and we must execute them for it!"

The old woman was surrounded by an multitude of Executioners, who saluted at her words, an woman pulled my attention, she was using an military uniform, sitting at the center of other guards who used military uniforms similar to her's, but it seemed she was the one in command. I used {observe} on her.

This woman is strangely fast, and nothing leads me to think she was genetically engineered or was infected with one of the viruses Umbrella developed, so she achieved this prowess by herself, which is impressive in and out of itself. I and Samantha sneakily traversed through the atrium, i planned on killing all of the Executioners and guards on this place. Killing Makina would be a shame, but sometimes we have to live with dissapointments.

I looked up and saw the big smiley on the roof, which gave me an idea, i put myself in a place i could see my targets, and aimed my revolver at the pillars which held the big smiling face in place, i used {dead eye} to slow my perception of time and shot at the four visible ones, thankfully mana bullets didn't make sound, so no one realized who had made the smiley fall, and they didn't have time to think considering an big piece of metal was falling on their heads.
