What did you teach them? (Edited)

Amy collapsed on the dining room chair and waited for the rest to come. As usual, grandpa and Jason came to the room together, as he walked to his seat; he patted her head lovingly which made her smile.

"My ever-present granddaughter," he smiled as he sat.

She was about to answer him when Jeff burst through the door, looking as if he had run a marathon. Amy's mood suddenly turned sour. He took short strides to her and handed her a bouquet of red roses.

"What?" she asked him, not moving a single finger.

"I bought you roses," he said with a huge smile as if he was the perfect husband, which he wasn't, not even close to that. Amy closed her eyes to gather her scattered thoughts.

"Grandpa," she turned to the old man. "Did you teach your grandson that women are his expensive toys?"

The old man gave her a confused look. "My dear…"

"This grandson of yours decided to wake up one morning and declare that he loves me! Can you believe that! Wait," she turned to Jeff. "Are you insane, do you think love is your third name? Grandpa this man here," she pointed at Jeff with her middle finger mouthing a 'f***k you' to him before turning to the old man. "Your grandson claims that he loves me but let me inform you, this man here, married me off to a pen…"

"I thought we solved that…" she shushed him up.

"Now I was saying, he sent his pen to marry me, gave me absurd rules, made sure my life was hell, brought his girlfriend to the villa to spike me up, let his girlfriend bring her friends to annoy and embarrass me. Do you know how embarrassing it is to be introduced as someone's wife to someone's girlfriend and have no power to do anything? No, not to mention the fact that the girlfriend has even more privilege than me, not that I minded anyway, I mean the thing between us was that damn paper I was made to sign. The first and last time I went to your office, I had to bear the embarrassment and get ridiculed, not to mention that I had to dodge guards to get to your office to tell you about your grandpa's health only to find you seriously making out with your girlfriend. Today he just scared me off and imprisoned me in his house. Then you have the balls to stand before me and say you love me. Are you nuts?" did he not find his timing and his confession weird more than insane, maybe his mental health was deteriorating.

She sized him up and made a disgusting sound. Jeff found his voice minutes later. "Amy…" he suddenly didn't know what to say anymore.

"Don't even open your beak, grandpa can I stay here with you, if I go back to the villa I am sure I would go mad like him before morning."

Grandpa looked at Jason for help but he only shrugged, realizing that he was by himself, he battled his problem. "Amy dear, I wish I could help but you see, eh, all the rooms in my house are occupied with things and all of them are stuffy."

Amy couldn't believe that even the old man did not attempt to save her. "No problem grandpa, actually did I say I am used to stuffy rooms so I am sure that yours will do fine."

The old man's eyes narrowed. "Mine are very dust and there is hardly any space for a rat to fit inside so I don't think you'll be able to fit inside."

Jeff smiled victoriously. "See, besides why do you need to squeeze somewhere where we have plenty of rooms back in the villa?"

Amy gave him a face. "Grandpa, I can't believe even you are selling me out?"

Grandpa flashed her an apologetic smile and she shook her head in disbelief. "Why are you so nervous don't you guys live in different rooms?"

Jeff shrugged at Jason's words as if saying 'I was wondering the same'. This family! She frowned and stormed out of the room, she didn't even need the supper, she took her car and sped out of the compound.
